Unfortunately the quality has declined recently. I fully understand that costs are increasing and you need to limit the amount of tuna, but please don't use poke extenders such as crab sticks and shrimps etc to fill the bowl. I suggest to use cucumber, tofu etc or even just more leaves. Alternatively you could offer a higher priced bowl without the extenders but with more tuna. Service is always efficient and friendly.

Google
There are numerous options for customizing toppings and sauces, or you can choose from one of the many pre-designed bowls. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt. Overall, it provides great value and taste.

Google
The looks are extremely deceptive, this was probably the worse poke bowl I have ever had. Definitely recommend to never order food panda delivery from this place. It was horrible, the sushi was old and almost sour and the bowl is packed with vegetables to save money. Definitely would suggest to never order from this place.

Pololi is always the OG of Poké bowls! Staffs are friendly, got introduced to try their new Poké Flavour Tom Yam Mayo and it taste AMAZING! Definitely will come back again.

Google
Been coming here since 2014! Love the BYO bowls, pay a little more for a full fish portion but worth it to load up on protein

Google
I ordered a California Dreaming for lunch delivery with Creamy sesame toppings but it came back with homemade chilli sauce which I did not enjoy at all…. honestly how hard is it to get the sauce right ……. I made sure I checked my receipt as well…….

Google
Tried Poké for the first time last week. I am in love with the Salmon one. 100% Recommend!!!

Lai K.

Google
Basically the fish sashimi are not fresh at all, they probably just use frozen fish that are dead for ages and put some sauce to cover it. I chose to give a second chance to this place but still as disappointed as the first time.

Yelp
I've eaten a lot of poki at this point, so this place was a bit of a let down for seafood when HK is so close to the sea. Maybe it's because I came right before closing, but a few things happened: - I ordered a bowl that was supposed to be tuna, but received a salmon poki bowl after waiting 5-10 minutes. They offered to replace it. I waited another 5 minutes. -the tuna bowl was missing the additional seaweed salad. I had to ask for it again. I waited another 2-4 minutes. -the tuna bowl wasn't that fresh, which was disappointing given how close we are to the sea and seafood markets.

Yelp
Poke bowl in central!? I miss California poke bowl. If you have ever been to Cali to try their poke bowl, I would say theirs have the best. Anyways, back to pololi review: I used Google map to get here, so it's pretty easily and fairly accurate. Cute little restaurant that you can't miss :) Once you are inside, you will realized the a/c is not strong enough, which got me a little worried cause they are selling raw food. $90hkd for a bowl with two protein options, not including any sides. I was hoping their style could be more like California where you can pick any sides for free and at least have 10 sides for you to choose from. I like the flavor that they've created, especially avo-mayo. I think the Mayo actually helps breakdown the tenderness of the fish, so it's not as chewy as the other favor tunas. And sadly, they only have one type of flavor for salmon :( Overall this bowl got me full and didn't get me sick good flavor, clean, decent price. 4 stars

Yelp
The positives: It's poke! It's fresh! And it's in Hong Kong! The negatives: It's super pricey for the amount! The portion size is about 1 large soup spoon serving! and lastly I'm ruined from living in Hawaii. Yeah, I'm totally biased, spoiled, and probably a bit snobbish when it comes to Poke. Sorry, if you had lived in Hawaii, you would be too! Admit it! Poke to Hawaii is like an Egg Tart to Hong Kong...It's everywhere. And everyone makes theirs slightly different which is what I love about poke. Sure there's a ton of varieties and flavors, but I feel real poke isn't drowning in creams, sauces, or over kill on the spices. The most important ingredient of course is the fish. It must be fresh, a good cut, and accompanied by quality ingredients. Good rice is also im too, but come on, it's about the fish! Real poke isn't hiding under all the junk! Luckily, my friend and I arrived just minutes before the lunch rush, so there was no one waiting behind us and the lady behind the counter gave us the run down of how Pololi worked (bowl of rice or lettuce choice) and what flavors they had that day (It changes daily). Best part was, she let us sample each of the 6 flavors too! Because of that gesture, it earned an extra star because nothing is more disappointing after you order it and it's not what you thought! Honestly, I was in a bit of disbelief I had actually received 180 grams of poke or about 1.4 cups because it looked like about a 1/4 cup of each of my 2 kinds of poke and 2 cups of white rice underneath all for about $90 HK/ $12 USD. Damn, I know fish is expensive but rice isn't!! So, yes it was worth the stop and since it looks like the new rage here, I'm all about trying out the other places on my list as well. I guess I just need to lower my expectations or stop eating it in Hawaii (neva!)

Yelp
I've had poke from 3 different places in HK now, one is no longer and the other one is just meh. I like the poke here because it's pretty close to Hawaiian style poke I've had and the flavors they have are pretty tasty. I usually end up getting an extra 50g of tuna though, because the baseline serving isn't enough for me which of course hikes the price up-and it's already pretty pricey enough to begin with. I usually try to 'try' a couple of their samples even though I know what their flavors usually taste like. I'm typically a fan of their spicy flavors but their Thai style one is good as well if you don't like spice. If you want to forget being healthy they also have spam musubi as a side. I usually get the Spam and Egg with my 150g poke bowl and I'm usually satisfied. Service is usually quick and the staff there really tries to go out of their way to be friendly. I used to be a consistent regular there but haven't gone as much lately, but I still get recognized. The friendly service warrants an extra star.

Yelp
I'm a bit late to the poké party, as I was pregnant when it really took off in Singapore. I finally got to give it a go postpartum here in HK and it was everything I dreamed of! Though Pololi's is the only place I've been to and I have nothing to compare, I like that they have some fun flavours to choose from. I've loved everything I tried, from the Thai style and Cali roll tuna flavours to the yuzu pinenut for salmon. Service is fast and friendly, and they have one of those stamp loyalty cards. Looking forward to making many returns and filling up my card!

Yelp
For the life of me I can't understand why this place has such incredible reviews. When you walk in, it is super cramped. While this is par for the course in Hong Kong, it doesn't help that they basically use the front part of the restaurant as a storage unit. Boxes are haphazardly covered and are conspicuously placed in the front of the establishment. It is primarily a take-away place, but when busy it doesn't make the ordering experience very pleasant. Also, I know poke is primarily tuna, but when I go around 1pm they are inevitably out of the salmon option. If it is so popular, I wonder why they don't make more. The lettuce quality of the salad is not great (See photo). Three stars for some innovative marinades and decent tuna offerings. I wish there were a better poke option in Central, but alas Aloha up the street has since closed down.

Yelp
Amazing Hawaiian Sashimi Rice Bowl for $90! The staff super nice and they let you try each and every topping of the day! Their available toppings change every day so if you wanna try some specific favours you might need to drop by another day. All their toppings taste great and I especially like those with salmon. For the base, I recommend getting half salad and half rice so that you get to experience how the toppings matches with the two bases. The serving size for the half-salad-half-rice base is just right for me. The shop is pretty small with limited seats so people typically order take away. Otherwise you can try seating on the steps outside and chill with your bowl of poke. I did that and that's absolutely cool:) I am in love with their Yuzu Salmon topping and really look forward to try out other favours next time!

Yelp
If there was a higher YELP choice than 5 star, Pololi HK would get my vote for the higher 5 star. If you are familiar with Hawaiian poke, this is the real deal of Hawaiian poke and it is hands down, absolutley, no question, the best tuna I have had since arriving to Hong Kong. Unlike sushi, poke is still tuna, it is just cut differently and as such, it has more of a thick, dense, heartier texture. I love sushi, but poke from Pololi is authentic and really mouth watering. I prefer the cut of poke over sushi, but know that it is still the same tuna. The concept of this store of bringing poke to the public in a creative way is very cool. You pick your base (salad or rice or a combo of both), you pick two poke (they have about ten varietals every day) and you pay $90HKD. It is served in a bowl. For $90HKD, the flavor and quality exceeds the price. They also have masubi, but had run out by 8pm on a Friday night...I guess you snooze, you loose! Store is small, so this is more of a grab and go spot. If you go during a non busy time, as we had, there are like six counter top stools you can perch on and inhale your poke. I could have eaten two bowls, it is that good. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They were eager to explain the concept of their restaurant or have us taste any poke we wanted before buying. Through the Yelp community, I found this little gem. THANK YOU YELP! We will be back....like maybe once a week we will be back. A bonus is that they have a frequent diner card, buy 10 bowls get 1 bowl free! We will have no problem filling this frequent diner card up fast!

Yelp
This place has LEGIT poke. No joke. I went to college in Hawai'i, and my expectations were high for poke (poh-keh). When I ate their raw fish, it gave me flashbacks to when I was in Hawai'i, and it really made me miss living there. I walked through little food stalls/street markets, and a bunch of steep slopes in HEELS to get to this place! Was it worth it? YES. This is practically the ONLY place in Hong Kong with poke. This place is fairly small, and seating inside is very limited, so you might end up sitting outside on the steps, especially when you're in groups. How this place works: Step 1: Choose salad/brown rice or white rice. Or half half. They only have one size bowls by the way. Step 2: Choose two flavors/toppings of ahi tuna. Step 3: Pay 90 HKD. Or. If you only want the fish, it'll be 60 HKD. They offer multiple flavors, such as Hong Kong, Thai, Spicy, Avocado, etc. They also allow you to taste test before ordering. Awesome. They do run out of different flavored poke sometimes, so you might have to wait until they make more. It won't take too long. Besides poke, they also have spam musubi! It's a slice of spam on a block of rice wrapped in seaweed. Sometimes with sauce between the spam and the rice. People in Hawai'i also indulge in this type of food as a snack. I haven't tried it because I already had a giant bowl of poke to eat! So filling! They offer a stamp card called Poke Card. 1 purchase of poke is 1 stamp. When you accumulate 10 stamps, you get a free bowl of poke! Well, don't mind if I do! The staff were wonderful. And I feel as if everyone who walks in knows the guy named Alex there since he seems to be the most talkative out of everyone else. Very friendly person. I am a happy camper finding this place. That is all.

Yelp
There's nothing I can say that the other reviewers before me have said. EXCEPT, TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW about this place. If someone asks "What's Poke"? You say, "Sushi. But it's not sushi - It's better" Anyway, we ended up visiting this place towards the end of the night. At that time, they gave us two kinds of poke in our bowl for the price of one. I guess this is the promotion in order to get all the food out. They don't serve leftovers the next day. Two thumbs up! (Only bar seating inside for about 6 people. Sit outside on the steps on the "grass" cushions they provide)

Yelp
I've heard about this place from a friend that told me they've just had Hawaiian food for dinner. I thought " no way. There now even have Hawaiian in Hong Kong?" Little did I know that this amazing new concept, akin to the Chipotle/Calimex burrito bowls are called poke bowls. Apparently the poke bowls are all the rage back home in New York so it was cool to see it being introduced to Hong Kong. Similar to a Japanese Chirashi Bowl ( Sashimi on rice), you get to select two types of poke tuna/salmon mix on a bed of brown rice, white rice, salad or a mixture of both. it has been my third poke bowl in the last 2 weeks and I gotta say, this stuff is addictive ! My favorite is the brown rice salad combo with the spicy spicy tuna and wasabi cream salmon. They also serve craft beer and spam musubi ( Hawaiian spam sushi) which i loved during my last trip to the Waikiki.... I'll definitely be back there to try other poke flavors !

Yelp
Best poke in Hong Kong! Well, it might also be the only poke in HK. For those of you who don't know what poke (pronounced poh-keh) is, it is diced, raw, flavored tuna. The dish originated from Hawaii. I'm from Hawaii and this place was my poke fix while I was abroad. I couldn't have lived without Pololi! Their poke tastes exactly as it would from Hawaii. It was delicious and fresh. Perfect healthy meal for those who love raw fish. You have the option of getting two choices of poke on a bed of rice or salad. There are many different flavors to choose from so it's hard to decide. Luckily, they let you try the flavors before you purchase it. My favorite flavor is the Thai lemongrass version. Nowhere in Hawaii has that Thai version they created here so try it! It reminds me of ginger/lemon chicken. I love it. Pololi has the best service imaginable. I got takeaway a few times, and they make makeshift ice bags to keep your poke cold. Gotta love it! They let me taste flavors before choosing, and they're all so friendly! It reminds me of poke places back home. Before I forget, I have to mention that they have spam musubi here too! Crazy! Poke + Hawaiian beer (long boards) = perfection. Come check it out.

Yelp
I was wandering the street hunting for food and was intended to hunt down some Thai. However, I needed a place that take credit card, and I found this place. The location is clean and welcoming. The owner of the place was actively engaging customer to promote the food they have. He noticed that I have never been to here and he offered samplers on all the many types of Poke they have. It was an around the world experience and given lot of educational information. Also you have the choice of full bowl rice, full bowl salad or half and half. The food seems very healthy and I estimated to be around 450 calories per bowl. With the tuna tasting fresh and with good cut of texture, also with the regularly rotating poke taste, this place is just awesome and a fine gem in the neighborhood. Although location is not the best, as it is just at the food market, not like soho or lan Kwai fong, but I am sure this place worth you a walk to the market for.

Yelp
Wanna have a light dinner before yoga, so salad would be perfectly fit Standard price $90 per bowl, u can either choose rice or salad and with 2 toppings It was my first to come so they let me try the toppings one by one before I made decision I finally chose yuzu salmon and tofu. Portion was so large but too yum that I finished all and hence wasn't a light dinner anymore lol
google avatar

Yelp
Healthy, hearty, delicious and quick?! Hallelujah! If you've never had poke before, your life is about to change big time. Poke hails from Hawaii. It's delicious dressed raw tuna (like sashimi or crudo) served on a bed of rice or salad greens. Like a sashimi bowl, but better! Pololi has a variety of flavors to choose from. I'm a fan of their creamy wasabi flavor and the Thai version with lemon grass, but honestly all their flavors are winners. Alex, the owner, will let you try them all! The tuna is of high quality. I was honestly surprised by how tender and fresh it was. Much better than the many famous places I went to stateside. They jane a fun staff so join them for dinner and beer from Hawaii. Their take-out option is also great. Their special packaging keeps the tuna separate from the bed of rice or salad (or both if you get half half). You get to choose two flavors of tuna so don't fret if you can't decide. I stopped by yesterday and got to try the new garlic shrimp that they're working on for the summer and am excited to have it again when it's on the menu.

Yelp
I love going to this little place for lunch as the staff are super friendly and the tuna salad or rice are fresh and could refresh me in the middle of the day. I like the wasabi tuna the most and also the seaweed flavour. Its becos I prefer non-spicy. For those who love spice, the Signature spicy flavour is good too. I used to sit on the stairs outside the shop to enjoy my lunch but I will never do that again after a mouse happened to fall from the building and landed right next to me!!! LOL
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
After several meals of pork and feeling bad about myself, I decided to search "salad" and Pololi came right up. The location is a bit off the beaten path but there is a mural of a Hawaiian girl outside so you can't miss it. Their poke is delicious and comes in lots of creative flavors. I love that they let you sample a few flavors before committing. Bonuses include a stamp card, complimentary phone chargers, and credit card capabilities.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
Love! If i live in Hong Kong and work in central, Pololi would be one of my favorites for lunch. The poke is legit, and their portion is generous for the price. Server quickly recognized it was my first time there (i stared at the menu quite hard) and she let me try 3 of the ahi options. After that, i had to have the spicy ahi and yuzu salmon on half brown rice and half salad for HKD$90. The place is pretty small(seats maybe four on some chairs along the wall), and the food is already automatically served on a disposable bowl, so it's understood that this place is probably meant for quick takeaway meal.
google avatar

Noreen T.

Yelp
It took us a LONG TIME to find this place because we got lost. But the cold cold AC greeted us as we walked in. I picked the white rice with HK style tuna and the weekly special (coconut tuna). They are pretty generous with the tuna, which is good. It seemed very simple though, literally just seasoned tuna and rice. Its $90 hkd per bowl which is an okay price. It really is a takeout place because they only have 4 seats inside. If you're in the area I'd go check it out.
google avatar

Corwin I.

Yelp
Poke! Good quality tuna, nice assortment of flavors. Kona beer and 10% off is you have a gym membership! Will be coming back for more
google avatar

Christifh H.

Yelp
Very refreshing and different meal from the usual. Loving the hawaii/american style japanese food. I got the avacado mayo and spicy ahi tuna, both were very good! Salad was very fresh too, which created a good mix. Also tried the spamasubi which wasn't bad, but would have been better if there was less rice or more spam! Overall great experience!

Der C.

Yelp
A poke store in HK! They have a really interesting concept where you can select different flavours of poke and put it on top of a bed of salad or rice or both! Tuna was very fresh, flavours were all very tasty. I recommend the traditional spivey and the Thai flavour. Try out the Hawaiian beer as well! Imported straight from Hawaii, I've not seen those beers anywhere else. Staff and the owner, Alex, are wonderful and friendly and act as local guides, feel free to stop by and talk to them as they are super friendly and can recommend things to do, direct you where to go, and where to eat!!
google avatar

Joan A.

Yelp
Trekked to Soho on my trip to Hong Kong last month. Being a first timer at Pololi, the owners let us try basically every flavor of ahi possible and gave us a little intro of each. A bowl of poke (with two types of ahi) contains 180g of protein!
google avatar

Sonia T.

Yelp
I fell in love with Poke in Singapore, and my obsession continued in HK. I really like this chain, as the poke is fresh, the service is fast and friendly, and it's super reasonable for lunch in Central. I usually get the spicy wasabi or California with half salad and half brown nice and creamy dressing. Super filling, and out the door in no time.
google avatar

Janina S.

Yelp
Great Sashimi Fusion Place! Service is great and let you try stuff! Food quality is great and price is really okay for raw fresh jummy fish:) for the basis you can chose salad or two types of rice. Also tofu is available in case you are vegeterian! Desert options can be better.
google avatar

Rachelle H.

Yelp
The first time I ever tried poke was at Pololi, and after trying many others both in HK and in Chicago, Pololi is still my favorite. I love the flavours they have - my favorites are the traditional spicy and California roll, but everything else is sooo good as well. Service is also really good :) they let you try the flavours which is really nice. They also have a stamp card thing (every 10 bowls you get a free one) and I've filled up one of those already. Not too expensive. Would definitely recommend!!!!
google avatar

Erica Y.

Yelp
It was just really fresh fish, a little smaller in size then what's normally served in New York, but the taste totally makes up for it!
google avatar

Rob C.

Yelp
3.5 poke party in CA still better in terms of mixing in furikake etc but can be an efficient lunch here. split salad and rice, two types, several varieties of wasabi based and heavily dressed. missing the limu though.

M C.

Yelp
Tasty, fresh poke over rice/salad. I've been here many times and never disappointed. They always have several flavor choices, I'm a fan of the spicy options. The staff are great, super friendly and helpful for first time visitors letting you try all the options. Definitely one of my go to healthy lunch options. I definitely like this shop more than their Sheung Wan branch. This one is always busy so the food is fresher. I've went to their SW branch and the ahi tasted a little old which is worrying when eating raw foods
google avatar

Ivan K.

Yelp
Great healthy option. Quick takeaway (or done in on the few seats they have on the side) of poke which is mostly flavoured raw fish. The staff are mightily friendly and will let you try different toppings if it's your first time.
google avatar

Maria D.

Yelp
Great staff and fresh, delicious food. I went in for the first time and was offered a sample of everything before making my choice...it was all very tasty. I chose the avocado and original spicy, and highly recommend them. It's a great, healthy option for lunch and very filling. More tuna than I could eat!
google avatar

Donovan G.

Yelp
I've come here a few times and like it a lot. It's got healthy, delicious Hawaiian raw tuna dishes. It's also well priced. The atmosphere isn't great for rating inside, but it's nice to take it outside and sit on the steps.
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
Awesome. From Hawaii and this is the real deal. Thanks for being in Hong Kong. Reminds me of home.

David M.

Yelp
Pretty nice concept and somewhat unique for Hong Kong, portions were larger at first but now a bit smaller, still worthwhile, recommended.

Randy C.

Yelp
Absolutely one of the best! The staff is awesome. The food is fresh, light, and very tasteful. The California tuna is AMAZING. Worth the trip.
