Pondok Indah Mall 1

Pondok Indah Mall is huge and feels more like a mall complex than just one mall. It consists of PIM 1, PIM 2, and PIM 3, all connected and offering different vibes. There are so many stores, from local brands to international ones, as well as a wide variety of restaurants and cafés. The mall can get very crowded on weekends because it’s a popular spot for families and friends to hang out. Despite the crowds, the mall is well-managed and comfortable to explore. You can easily spend hours here without getting bored. Overall, it’s one of the best malls in Jakarta with plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

PM3 has a very limited range of food options and very quiet if your looking for international food only Taco Bell was there but bypassing it and going to the more popular PM2 with its blue roof has a much better food choices with 2 kebab shops both selling vegetarian kebabs and the first kebab shop ( Halal guys) sells falafel balls with incredible sour cream / mushroom mayonnaise that come in plastic pouches strange extra long time wait on falafel balls to be deep fried we waited over 20 mins for ours they don’t tell you that one serving of falafel balls comes in 2 balls per tiny bag but it was worth the wait so buying 4 falafel servings means your buying 8 falafel balls. The other kebab shop ( Doner kebab) sells to die for vegetarian kebabs ..36,000 IDR ..It can be tricky to understand bahasa if you’re not Indonesian with vendors wrongly assuming your fluent in bahasa be armed with your Google Translate app to type n point n show to vendors what your trying to say in Bahasa if you only know English. They don’t seem to like cash with tap and pay eftpos machines the only form of accepted payment there. Outside North Hall enjoy the pleasant Jakarta cool breeze and being surrounded by gojek drivers with byd 100% electric vehicles was a welcoming change compared to other Asian cities.

Huge mall with many stores! It was pretty quiet at first because we visited early, but by noon it became a very bustling place. There’s a bridge that connects PIM 1 and PIM 2, and by the time we finished exploring both, we were already exhausted 😅

Everyone's go-to mall. The fact that it's connected to PIM 2 and PIM 3 makes it even more visitor-friendly. Love it.

Very good place to visit. Lots of good tenants, the place is not very crowded, and there are lots of good foods on the food court. Parking space is very ample, toilets are very clean. Good fashion stuff on the first floor. The place have good COVID-19 procedures, with temperature checks on the doors and you can also wash your hands there.

Nice mall with plenty of shops and restaurants. Connected to other malls with a bridge which is also nice. It was a bit crowded and we had to wait for a while to find a ride to the hotel, but overall nice place and great location.

Yesterday, I went to Pondok Indah Mall with my family. It’s my favorite mall since I was a kid. I’ve been here for many countless times, but yesterday was special. My husband accidentally left his car key on the parking lot near to the Margaguna street. We did not realize that until we were about to go home. It was raining, I held my 2 months old baby with a carrier and a blanket, and my 2 yo son was on the stroller. We were confused. My husband asked the security and went to the information section. It took around 20 minutes for my husband to look for that key. I was waiting on the canopied trottoir with my children when suddenly a security named Mr. Syaiful appeared with his motorbike. He pulled-over and asked me nicely “How can I help you, ma’am?” I told him everything that I faced that time. Then he descended from his bike and told me that one of his friend had found my key, they kept it in the safety box. Sadly, we couldn’t get the key that night because it was already late. Then I told my husband to get the duplicate at our home. Suddenly, Mr. Syaiful told my husband to use his motorbike to get the key so it would be faster. Mr. Syaiful also stayed with me and my children to kept us safe until my husband arrived. We were so thankful for him, Mr. Syaiful is very helpful and kind. Soon after my husband borrowed his bike, we got the duplicate, and got home safely. We would like to give our sincere thank you for Mr. Syaiful. We wish him a happy healthy life ahead and hope to see him again :)
