The hotel location is great- right in front of the wave and a few restaurants around. The rooms were clean and a generous size. Pool nice and clean. All staff we dealt with were very nice and friendly. The restaurant food was good too the yogurt bowl in the breakfast that was included in our room was good and filling. Our room was near the restaurant/ close to the common area and was a little loud with other guests having a few drinks a few of the nights. But overall great time and perfect location.

This resort does not care for the beach, they cut down trees and dumb them on the sand along with any rubbish they have.. absolute disgusting.. only care about themselves and money! The beach is now full of branches, clippings, and large trees even blocking the walk way for everyone down the general path.. all surrounding the outer layer of this resort, but on a public beach for the whole of humanity to enjoy! If you want peace and natural surroundings maybe avoid this huge resort that destroy it during your stay and show you the reason why we will never have nature back again, cause they are teaching there young the way!

Amazing experience. Great spot for surf. The place is quiet. Terrific scenery, including from the restaurant terrasse. The pool is also a great place to relax and watch the sea. Great level of service. Some of the accommodations would need a little love.

Our stay at Pondok Pitaya Hotel for two weeks was unfortunately far from what we expected. Major issues: - Poorly insulated rooms: we could hear everything happening in neighboring rooms and outside, making nights difficult. - Very few sun loungers, already insufficient for hotel guests and often taken by outsiders (who pay only 50K rupiah to use the pool). As a result, we had to wake up very early to "reserve" a lounger. - Quite slow service: whether at the restaurant or by the pool, we had to wait 20 to 30 minutes to be served, while outsiders were prioritized. A very unpleasant feeling of discrimination when you pay for a two-week stay. - Water problems: cold water and lack of pressure on several occasions. - Dirty and poorly managed pool: no supervision, surfers or outsiders washing themselves there, and families turning the space into a daycare (toys everywhere, screaming, tables and loungers monopolized). We even filmed a scene where an Australian family occupied 4 loungers, 2 tables, and beach mats, turning the area into a real daycare. - Mediocre included breakfast: incomplete (lack of granola, yogurt, fruit on some days), undrinkable coffee with grounds at the bottom. Strangely, the paid coffee was very good! The advertised hours (7 AM–11 AM) were not respected: we often had to wait until 8 AM, even with tours planned for the day and the driver waiting for us. - Ineffective Wi-Fi: slow or out of service several times. Conclusion: A hotel that prioritizes outsiders (for a few rupiah) over those who pay to stay there. The team is sometimes not very organized, even though everyone is pleasant. The pool area sometimes lacks cleanliness, and the included services are not always up to par. Too bad, because Balian Beach is a splendid place. P.S.: I’ve attached a video to my review to illustrate the atmosphere at the pool (loud family, monopolized loungers, etc.). If you’re looking for a hotel to relax, avoid this one

Yoga & Surfing. Great value for money right on the beach. Rooms were clean, great customer service, with fantastic food at the restaurant. Breakfast included. Yoga was twice a day, instructor extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend, we will return. Thankyou for an awesome atay.

Just went here for dinner and yes the food was pretty good but wow it is so expensive! When literally you can get the same delicious food for half price 100m up the hill. Also their prices do not included taxes which makes it even more

To the management: I was disappointed to see your staff (man with a limp) on the road sweeping man made trash into the gutter, while then sweeping leaves towards the beach. As a eco friendly hotel, be great to continually educate your staff regarding how to properly dispose of trash. Seems like they have an opposite understanding if what to do with organic and non-organic waste?
