Accessibility: The only way to reach the island is by a short boat ride across the Anjengo Lake.

This golden island is located in the backwaters of Anjengo Lake. Our experience reaching the island was incredible, as we took the local fishermen's boat, and a Shiva Parvati historic temple is located here; fortunately, the temple was open. It’s a serene sightseeing spot, something you definitely shouldn’t miss when visiting Varkala.

We went boating around this island, and along the way, we stopped at a spot where we could take a short stroll. It was such a great experience! Most people don’t even know about this island—it’s much better than any other place in Varkala!

Normal boats and speed boats are available to go to the island. The island contains a temple which is of Lord Shiva, Parvathi and Vishnu. Nothing much is there in the island to explore other than small forest. You can just enjoy the water rides around the island.
