A scenic spot in Bordeaux. Perfect for a walk. Be careful not to drink too much wine and fall.

Worth to see that water is yellow in Garrona. Nice place for taking a walk and/or run. Not too crowded by cars. Mainly public traffic and a lot of tourist. Good place to take a nice picture of Bordeaux river side.

This bridge caught my attention while i was walking near the river. It looked really nice. Its a long walk but i get to enjoy the view and the people who were there as well. You can also see the current's strength of the river and it looks very scary. Viewed from a distance, the autumn leaves adds more beauty especially if seen from an angle.

This is one of Bordeaux’s most historic landmarks commissioned by Napoleon and finished after his death. It is beautiful day or night and lovely to walk across as the tide rushes in or out. The 17 arches are for the the letters in Napoleon’s full name. It’s popular with runners because the traffic is limited.

A historical bridge in Bordeaux.. and the quiet city life nicely positioned around it is not bad. fine for short walks and taking pictures. public transport is just above it.

18 arches, Le pont de pierre is lit up at night and ferries trams, scooters and pedestrians throughout the day. But not cars! A busy road, it will take you over to la bastide where you can visit Darwin Ecosystem and other neighbourhoods in bordeaux

This was the first bridge built over the Garonne River that has very raging currents. Under the orders of Napoleon Bonaparte it was designed and then constructed between 1819 -1822. The 17 arches are supposedly for the letters in the name Napoleon Bonaparte. Three intertwined crescents adorn the bridge as the coat of arms of Bordeaux. It's beautiful from the river and over the river. We had to wait for about 30 minutes as tides changed before our river boat was allowed to go under the bridge. My husband and I rode bikes over the bridge and enjoyed the view. This was the only bridge until 1965.
