On the Grid : Diable!

"Diable! is located in the Saint-Polycarpe street, crossing spot between those walking down from the Croix-Rousse and those who climb up "Les Pentes" (the Slopes). Letterpress workshop and boutique, Diable! is the project of two sisters, one illustrator and one graphic designer. Mariette draws and prints limited series of illustrations, books and cards… while Claire takes care of the visual identity. They switch from digital to print with great pleasure, thanks to a Heidelberg press of the 1960s and a cutter and pedal press of the early 20th century. If you’re in love with images, inks and fine papers, this is a place to check out." - Graphéine

Awesome place to go if you like adventure. You can jump from the rocks into the water. Read daredevils jump from the bridge into the water 15m below. The water near the rocks and beneath the bridge is deep. But as with all those things be AWARE all on your own risk.. there is a large parking place all free also visiting the place is free of charge. You can buy drinks and food and ice-cream on the site.

Fantastic place for a spot of wild swimming and jumping in! We swam at the end of March so was very cold but used wetsuits and got on with it! Loads of spots to jump in just make sure you check the depth or for obstructions first. Nice clear water. Great for climbing. Will deffo be back in warmer weather. Lots of close parking spaces.

The via ferrata is easy-ish if you are a seasoned climber. The setting is very beautiful though and you can do the zip line several times since there is only a 7 minute walk across the bridge.

The site itself is very nice, the water cool, clear and refreshing. There is a small beach. I enjoyed the feeling of a small enclosed paradise. That said, I was there in the off season. The size of the parking spaces hints to a very busy season, which would propably make the stay not so nice.

Made by the devil for two lovers on each side. The first one to cross had to go to hell. How did the two lovers solve this problem?

Great place to relax and swim on a hot day. Parking area has a height restriction (2m at a guess) but you can walk from the carpark at Chemin des Tuiles which has a small area for taller vehicles.

Always been a special place. Unfortunately, packed with tourists during summer day.
