Pont Levis Hotel - 4 étoiles - Carcassonne

What a lovely place to say right at the entrance to the Medieval City. Check in really good, lovely man on reception, nothing too much trouble. We had a jacuzzi room on a nice terrace, which was very nice. The room is excellently equipped, and bed very comfortable. Also secure parking a massive bonus. You couldn’t get more centrally located and be able to park… we will definitely return.

I cannot express how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff at the Pont Levis hotel are. Emmanuel and his team went above and beyond to assist our motorcycle tour group; including providing his own suitcase to someone who had to leave the tour early. I think this may be the friendliest place in France I've been to. They helped my husband and I ship some extra motorcycle helmets and airbags home mid trip as well, as no postal office in the area would take any large parcel to ship Just steps from the castle in Carcassone, a great pool for cooling off, and a nice spread for breakfast. The rooms are clean, the air conditioning works really well in the rooms, and its a great place to relax after a day walking the castle and eating delicious cassoulet.

You can't get any closer to Carcassonne without staying inside. The location is excellent. The staff is courteous. The rooms are spacious. Mine had a back door leading out onto a deck overlooking a wonderful garden. The shower in the bath was wonderful. It had a rainfall shower head, six shower jets in the walls and a hand held sprayer.

Absolutely appalled by the rude, sarcastic male front of house servant. I had just completed the train tour with my little girl, who was desperate for the toilet when the train stopped outside the hotel. She is only little. I politely asked in French if she could please use the toilets to be told in English, this is a hotel madam not a public toilet. Obviously I’m aware of that but who would treat a little girl so cruelly and take pains to humiliate in the process. I would avoid this hotel at all costs if this is their character and attitude

Perfect location close to the gates of the walled city. Easy parking once the system is explained. Enter the public car park gates at the front of hotel, park and walk to reception where the correct tickets can be obtained for parking. 15€ per night charge. Rooms are immaculate and have a small fridge and pod coffee machine. Decor is excellent and has deck access to most rooms. Good if you smoke, not if you don’t. Reception was efficient and polite. Note the bath had a hand held shower with no facility for hands free use. The drinks and breakfast are overpriced and underwhelming when there are bars and cafes just inside the walls. Definitely worth the stay except for the shower

Excellent location for visiting medieval city, good rooms with a/c, outdoor pool, garden. Breakfast ok if you don't want cooked food and prefer continental style food, a bit limited perhaps for the price. Helpful reception and domestic staff.

The hotel has a great location just outside of the medieval city. The receptionist, Anniek, was really charming and helpful. She helped us find a dinner reservation for Sunday night - as a lot of the restaurants are closed then. We went to la Table d'Alais which was very good.||The rooms are quite modern - the bed was super comfortable and the room was very quiet. Slept very well there. We booked a room with a jacuzzi which was a nice way to relax after a day of walking. It was lovely to use the pool too.

We had a great experience at Hotel Pont Levis. The Hotel is right outside an entrance to the Medieval City, so is extremely convenient for walking around. The room we had was a basic hotel room, but very clean with a nice bathroom. We were only there one night, so we didn't use the facilities much. However there is a bar and swimming pool. The breakfast was pretty standard. Where this hotel really shined was the helpful staff at the front desk. Regardless of whoever was on duty, they were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
