Visited Mid-October - was fairly quiet. Views are great. Car parking locally (paid for). 10 min walk to Aqueduct. There's also a narrow boat parked close by that sells some nice lunch stuff (+tea/coffees).

It is a picturesque, breathtaking view from the bridge and tranquil walking paths along the river banks and nearby forest. Perfect outdoor activity on a sunny day, it's well worth the visit!

Looked great from the side, unfortunately the Aqueduct was all fenced up on the correct side of the bank and the gate was locked. I feel like they could have done a better job with awareness, even at the car park. Wasted journey. Some lovely views though and I’m sure it’s amazing when you can cross.

Parking close by, either across from the canal near a tea room - charges apply. There is dedicated disabled car park and a public toilet a short distance from the Aqueduct but main car park is further up but still only a short walk away. This really is an engineering marvel that should be walked if you’re brave enough!

An incredible piece of engineering and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s well worth visiting if you’re nearby! The views from the aqueduct are breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape. Whether you walk across it or take a boat ride, the experience is unforgettable. The history and craftsmanship behind this structure are truly impressive, making it a must-see for anyone in the area. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a memorable day out!

This is well worth getting out to see. It’s a marvel of late 18th century design and construction. Unfortunately this cold January day there were repairs being done so the aqueduct was not open to go across, but still worth looking at from above and below. Some lovely walks around the area to get various vantage points.

Deffinatly worth a visit! We went on the narrow boat across the aqueduct which was amazing. Such an experience for the children. You can walk across but it is pretty high and the kids were a bit scared so going over on the boat was perfect. Reasonable prices. £30 for family of 5.

Lovely interesting place, nice to sit and watch all the narrow boats crossing the aquaduct and turning in the basin. Small interesting museum and a little gift shop with drinks and confectionery. You can take a narrow boat or a canoe across if you wish and there's a guide to explain all about the history. Lovely relaxing location with excellent views. Cheap parking close by, just a couple of minutes walk away.

Yelp
What a beautiful aqueduct! Andrew really wanted to see this on our drive from Edinburgh to Cardiff so we found a nearby hotel and stopped for one night to see this in the morning and I am so glad we did! I was not excited to see it and it was well worth the stop! There is a small shop for a soda and souvenirs and to rent boats but they are not very helpful, we had some questions but they were to busy to be bothered. The aqueduct is fascinating and watching the boats cross if fun. There are several paths and you can hike down to get a view from the bottom as well as cross at the top. It is high and scary! But awesome! There is a car park and signs with information and the trail is moderate. We went right in the morning and the sun coming up was beautiful around the aqueduct. We stayed nearby in Llangollen and it was only a 15 minute drive.
