Ponto Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse

We have been to a lot of Brazilian steakhouse restaurants & this one did not disappoint. It was refreshing & delicious. The service was on point & great. The salad bar was tasty! The meat choices were great, my favorite was the house special cut, it was perfect 👌! They had something new we hadn't tried at the other Brazilian steakhouse restaurants, fried cheese! It was good my husband loved it, I wasn't much of a fan but it was okay. The salad bar had a corn salad that was the perfect amount of spices & flavors, it is a must try! The price is worth it. It is chilly in there, & dim setting but very friendly.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience at Ponto Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse. We travel to Lubbock twice a month for doctor’s appointments from Carlsbad, and one of our doctors recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint. If you want a high level steakhouse experience where every detail is thoughtfully attended to, this is the place. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. Robert was our primary waiter, with Joseph also serving us, and both were attentive, positive, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Robert took time to educate us about Brazilian dishes and culture, which made the experience even more special. The food was outstanding. My husband did receive one pork rib that was a bit dry, but what happened next left such a great impression on us. Hugo noticed immediately when my husband passed on the rib, came right over to check in, and replaced it without us even asking. The new rib ended up being one of the best my husband has ever had. On our way out, Carlos greeted us, asked about our experience, and shared more about the restaurant. You can genuinely feel how much the entire staff and management cares, from the first interaction to the moment you walk out the door. Everyone was down to earth, warm, upbeat but also highly professional. The overall vibe is calm, welcoming, and indulgent while caring professionals buzz around you to take care of your every dining need for the entirety of your experience. A delicious, relaxed dining experience wrapped in nonstop, thoughtful service. We will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend.

Since the moment you walk in the staff treats like your worth $1million bucks, The food is incredibly good. The salad bar is a real salad bar with all sorts of cheese, hams, fruits. Every staff was very attentive and truly customer-centric, they do care about people, something that is been lost. Full bar, and the view is incredible, try to sit close to the window. All I have to say is YES come it’s an amazing experience. Trust me you’ll feel like your in some high-end New York or Dallas restaurant, but better because the beautiful people that work here. The staff were excellent, provided great service and served wonderful food. We were celebrating our anniversary and everyone was incredibly kind and wished us a happy anniversary. The flan was incredibly good, so if you have room after the main courses, I absolutely recommend it!!!

This place was perfect!!!👍🏻 As we opened the door, it’s like it suddenly brought us to Brazil 🇧🇷! The service was super professional and nice. We started with salad bar. It offered regular options and special local salads! Everything was super fresh and delicious. As we flip our card from red to green side, they immediately brought meats to our table and serve the most delicious meat I’ve ever tried!!😍 I was not sure about the drumsticks at first, but they turned out to be crazily tender and tasty. The lamb and steak were also irresistible.. The environment and the restroom were very clean. Overall, I couldn’t complain about anything. This place was just flawless. The price was pretty reasonable as well. 100% recommend!

I don’t think we have ever come here and NOT had excellent service, but we came for our company Christmas party and they knocked it out of the park again! Our server Ginno was absolutely on point and took such great care of all 13 of us! Could not believe how effortlessly he made it appear. This place is definitely our favorite restaurant and no where else in town compares!

Very busy bustling place. Its what you expect from a setup like this. Lots of people, not quite, buffet style. It was fun for vday weekend. Wouldn't go for regular dinner. Food was hot and most meats had good flavor.

This is ultimately the best steakhouse I’ve ever been to. The salad bar has the upmost best selection high-quality. And the meats that go around on the full service is amazing. The service is so good. If you have not been here, you need to go here. Certain days of the week they have specials so check those out too.!!! it is a very overstimulating place. You do have interruptions probably every five minutes, but if you can handle that, then you’ll go home in a food coma like I am.

This place is better than Fogo! We just stopped in for the first time and it was fantastic! The service was great - we never waited for more food. Everything was wonderful. What a fabulous experience.

The food is superb. Bottom sirloin, picanha (top sirloin), and filet all being stars of the show. The service is top notch, well above and beyond a nice steakhouse. The atmosphere is amazing with nice ambiance. White and cream walls are very soothing. Also, the cocktails are top notch. Don't sleep on those .

Really enjoyed dinner at this steakhouse! The service was excellent and the staff here is above and beyond attentive. Attention to detail was not spared- beautiful full bar and decor. The food is amazing! Definitely get more than you pay for here, in my opinion. If the vast variety of mouth watering meats, cheeses, and cooked pineapple (my fav) doesn't make you happy the gorgeous salad bar will. I could've filled up just on the salad bar alone- everything is fresh and so tasty. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner- all around wonderful experience!

This was my first experience with a Brazilian Steakhouse, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff were kind and fun. The food was delicious! We certainly can't afford to do this all the time, but it seemed like the food and drink prices were very fair for the great setting and fantastic evening. We will be back soon for another celebration!

Excellent service. Beautiful fresh salad bar...that is sooooo much more than salad! Fun experience! Take your Hungary college boy for sure! He will LOVE it! Food was delicious

Love this place. Wonderful and friendly staff. The salad bar is so fresh with so many choices. Not your typical American salad bar. Have been to Brazil many times and the food is very authentic. Not a big meat eater but the salad bar is substantial even for my husband.

Was a great experience, meat was amazing and I can't say enough about their salad bar. The chimichurri is to die for on the meat. It is so flavorful and refreshing. The service was really good considering it was Texas Tech graduation night so it was extremely busy. The ambiance was okay I think it would have been better if it wasn't so busy that night.

Absolutely the best. Friendliest staff and management. They truly appreciated your business. Of course the meat is awesome but the salad bar is top shelf. Pineapple, cheese bread, and honey cheese are also amazing. You need to go.

The food and service here are outstanding! Had a good time here with coworkers during a stopover and got a reservation for the same night. Good service and good food.

Today I had a great Father's Day with lunch at Ponto Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse. I was greatly Impressed by the selection of offered. The salad bar was great with some unique items and all fresh. Soups and sides were excellent!! Meats offer at table were perfect with good selections. My favorite was the grilled pineapple served at the table. Service was great and Ambiance excellent. I am a food broker with 40 years on the food industry. I have worked with Emeril Lagasse, Charlie Trotter (Chicago), and Tony Chachere's (Louisiana)..I have traveled the world and know good food. My Complements!!!!

I have been here 4 times now and each time has been the best dining experience I've ever had. The food and service are the best you will find in Lubbock. The setting is great for large groups and special occasions too!

Ponto Gaucho is my new favorite restaurant in town! Went for the first time right after they opened and the whole staff was already really well dialed in. Vibe was on point. The meats and accoutrements were all perfectly cooked and served hot and fresh. Cocktails are also excellent. But what really stands out above all is the service - would give them 6 stars on that if I could. Every single one of their staff were friendly and accommodating. Also, my 4 year old son and 10 mo. old daughter were with me and I feel like the staff especially made it a point to be nice to my kiddos - which I really appreciated since not all nice places to eat are always quite so welcoming to kids. I've been back several times and had the same top notch experience. Also, they've got a great bar area where you can get cocktails and a la carte food items (all excellent), which is a great option if you're going solo or small group. Bottom line: 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I stopped for lunch on Saturday, June 21, 2025. This was our second time dining at the restaurant. While the food was delicious and the food runners were attentive, our experience with our assigned waiter was disappointing. It took quite a while for our drink order to be taken, and at no point during our meal did our server return to offer refills. We had to flag down another waiter from across the room just to get more drinks. We even placed our empty cups at the edge of the table in plain view, but our server walked by multiple times without acknowledging us. Meanwhile, we observed tables around us receiving prompt refills--even though the restaurant was not busy at the time. When we asked for the check, there was no verbal acknowledgment from our waiter. He simply dropped it off at the table without saying a word--not even a basic 'thank you.' This lack of attentiveness and courtesy made an otherwise enjoyable meal frustrating and disappointing. It left us questioning whether or not we'll return in the future.

I'm so glad that Brazilian steakhouse came to Lubbock Texas. This one is in the top three of all time Brazilian steakhouses. Professional, waiters and waitresses, great food and a good atmosphere to be in. I highly recommend this restaurant to all.

The food was outstanding!! Different types of meat from chicken, beef, sausage, pork, & lamb. Service was great. Very attentive to customers. Great ambiance for the space it's in. Definitely a place to go!!!

This is my second time dining at Ponto Gaucho and I can see myself returning often! If you're familiar with Fogo de Chao, this spot...BETTER than! The picanha is delicious, the service is incredible, the salad bar has everything you need (however Brazilian corn would be great to add!), and the drinks/wine menu, you'll find something to enjoy. The restaurant is spacious and overlooks a little lake, overall 10/10 experience.

Incredible service, food and atmosphere. We have been to Ponto Gaucho 3 times and I am amazed to see so many happy faces on both the clients and the servers. We are thankful the owners made a commitment to settle down in Lubbock, Texas and share their love of Brazilian food with our community.

Awesome place! Food was tremendous, I tried it all and it was delicious, very well prepared and the wait staff was amazing. Val was our waitress and did a great job. It was our anniversary and they made it special, every waiter in the place came by and visited us. I really loved it in my books they rate a 7. It's nice to go to a place that cares you came in.

I go to a lot of Brazilian steakhouses when I go to a new town. This one is in the top 2, the other is a local one in Dallas. Better than Fogo and the other big one. The staff was friendly, the decor is nice and the food is beyond good. I will frequent this place if it stays like this. I hope it doesn't drop off like the other one that was here.

Steaks were great! I plan to go there again! The service was excellent too! My only suggestion would be that the waiters need some more training. While they were all polite and very helpful, multiple waiters asked us what we wanted and we ended up with more than the item. We couldn't figure out who are personal waiter was. But nevertheless, a great experience. My friends loved it!

I'm Brazilian, and this place feels like a little piece of home! The food is always fresh and full of flavor. The service is truly unbelievable--so warm and welcoming that it feels like visiting family. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again! Great food & and great atmosphere! Even when the restaurant was super busy for Valentine's Day the services was beyond amazing!

Tried out this place for lunch. Great food and great service. Really nice restaurant. Ambience was great as well. Will definitely come back.

We have been here several times and always had a good experience. Went on Valentines evening, which I had made a reservation over three weeks prior, and had to wait in line for an hour just to check in for our reservation. Once we checked in (an hour after our reservation) we asked why our reservation was not honored. The hostess would not answer us, the question was just ignored. Same result with the waitress. In fact, the only way you knew to wait in a line to check in was from the other patrons standing in the line. This is either complete and utter failure on how to work with reservations, or complete greed without a care about the people who wanted to spend a special evening in this restaurant. And no one who worked for the restaurant cared a bit

An absolute must! Amazing food, outstanding service and the crème Brulé is to die for! You will not leave here hungry, this is the best new restaurant in Lubbock. The atmosphere is very nice, plenty of space, and very clean. Truly a GREAT place to come and enjoy a night of delicious food.

Line out the door and everyone in it had a reservation, we waited in line for an hour past our "reservation" absolutely egregious customer service
