On the Grid : Pop International Galleries

"When in Soho, a visit to this gallery is a must. The tiny shop front opens up to an expansive space over two levels, and carries a comprehensive collection of original pieces by iconic Soho artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. There's a new exhibition every few months or so in the back, currently showing the largest collection of intimate and little known Marilyn Monroe photographs spanning her 19 year career." - Julia Guo

Pop is the best art gallery in NYC! The pieces they display are constantly changing and it feels like a new experience every time you walk through the door. Purchasing art from them has been such a great experience that I will certainly do it again, as the owners are kind, thoughtful, and on point. Cannot recommend enough.

What a lovely experience, Jeff was so friendly and helpful. A calm and interesting space in the madness of The Bowery. Instalment payments available too, so easier to buy a piece you love.

The gallery was truly spectacular. Only overshadowed by the owners! You have to see this wonderful gallery, they will have something for you to invest in…invest in art, it does your soul good!!

The Pop International Gallery in New York is an absolute gem! What sets it apart is not just the incredible art but the owners, Jeffe and Nanette, who are truly golden people. Their warmth and knowledge make every visit an enriching experience. The gallery's curated collection of contemporary art is a testament to their expertise. Whether you're an art enthusiast or a casual visitor, their passion and insight elevate the entire gallery visit, leaving you inspired and enlightened. Pop International Gallery is not just a place to admire art; it's an immersive journey guided by the heart and soul of Jeffe and Nanette. A must-visit for anyone seeking art in the heart of NYC!

Cutest gallery EVER! I am not an artsy schmancy type of person. So, this art gallery was right up my alley. It is small, cute, and bright. I enjoyed looking at all the Dr. Seuss artwork. Some that I've never even seen before in any of his books. It is so beautiful! It all made me reminisce of my childhood. Now I got the pleasure of taking all these wonderful pictures for my son. I recommend anyone who's a kid at heart to check this gallery out. It was more than I expected. The pictures do not do it justice. They have some other cool art too, I loved them all. I bought my first pop art painting from Pop International Galleries. They were so incredible and walked me through the process. I love the artists they work with and enjoy browsing. But, I always have an eye on something in their shop! Thanks Pop for all you do!

Yelp
Seems like one of the reviewers is a competitor trying to hurt this business. I have been doing business with Pop International Galleries for literally decades. I've been to numerous events, both at their current location and their former location. I've met Ringo Starr and Ron Wood, and got a glimpse at David Bowie. They always have compelling and interesting artists that they develop and promote as well as the art of more well known artists like Haring. Their prices are extremely fair and the owners are absolutely wonderful and benevolent people. They even hosted an event for the Sea Turtle Conservancy, an amazing (four stars on Charity Navigator!) marine charity for which I sit on the board of directors. I don't need to tell anyone that raising funds for non-profits is a constant need. A customer of theirs who came into the gallery during the event to look at art asked what the event was about and ended up donating $20,000 to the Sea Turtle Conservancy! Not only that, but they donated the use of the gallery for the event, i.e., they let us use the gallery for free. I am not sure who this other person is who is attempting to disparage these owners, but quite frankly, it's petty and juvenile. Get therapy. In the meantime, go see all the cool stuff at Pop Gallery. Jeff and Nanette and the whole gallery staff are lovely and helpful people, and they have great stuff too!

Yelp
Pop International Galleries is a must-see for anyone visiting NY. The gallery owner prides himself on showcasing the most wonderful and talented pop artists. The artwork you can see from week-to-week is sure to make you smile. And I can't say enough good things about the gallery owners - a husband and wife duo that truly love what they do, and feel blessed to be able to bring pop art to the masses. Go visit, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Found out about this gallery through a friend who is also represented by them, Mike Baca of URNewYork.com. They currently have an amazing installation of Dr.Seuss paintings and drawings. Most definitely worth checking out. There is also a location in SoHo with a more comprehensive selection of work

Yelp
We never visit New York without dropping into the most amazing gallery in the city....POP International. The owners (Jeff and Nanette) are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. During one visit we were mesmerized with a 'bicycle clock' they had on display. So much so we bought it and shipped it home. The have some of the most interesting and unique art going. Stop in...you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We went for dinner to a lovely restaurant on The Bowery, we walked past the gallery and landed up buying a gorgeous piece from Pop International. I am not an educated art lover by any means but Jeff made the experience enjoyable and informative and we walked out with a print that will bring a smile to our faces each and every time we look at it. I really enjoyed the fact that there was no selling pressure put on me whilst I perused the walls and the other displays. #PopArt #TheBowery #PopInternational #RomeroBritto

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of visiting this amazing Gallery many times on my trips to NYC. Their knowledge of art and the personal service given is unsurpassed. The art is incredible and the gallery has a great vibe. I have dealt with the owners for many years and trust them implicitly...wirth the visit when you're in NY or go online. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
"Is this an original Warhol?" "Yes." "And that's a Basquiat, right?" "Yes." This is why I love New York...I randomly wander into a gallery, drawn to the bright colors, and suddenly find myself staring at genuine works by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. It's a pretty big gallery, with multiple rooms and floors, and "Pop" refers both to the pop art style and icons of pop culture that pepper the walls like Batman and Muhammad Ali. They also have some kinetic sculptures that no one yelled at me for touching. Win!

Yelp
Pro: Yes, they have original Basquiats and Lichtensteins (Warhol: yawn), but don't miss the newer art of Britto & Thorpe currently on display. Con: They were a little stingy when I asked for more information about an artist- not wanting to part with a postcard (!) until I confirmed I wasn't a tourist. Also, asking for prices was a touchy subject; am I supposed to have an unlimited supply of funds?

Yelp
POP is one of our Favorite stops when we're out exploring galleries!  The owners Jeff & Nanette's collection is an absolute jewel box and the two of them are generous with their time and knowledge, not just with artists, but with the many collectors they have decades-long relationships with, and with new collectors, too.  They're also known for all the ways they give back to NYC including decades of support to their neighbors at The Bowery Mission and volunteering in the public schools.  Put POP on your list, and know that any interaction you're going to have there--whether purchasing or just appreciating art--is guaranteed to be a positive one with such an ethical pair and company!

Yelp
My husband and I come to New York often and love to just stroll and see where the road takes us. And we a lot of the time head down the tried and true paths from before, but it's fun to check out new neighborhoods and the weather was perfect for walking. As walked by this place and almost just kept walking, but I took a second look and love my art (and not being in any hurry) decided to take a peek. Really glad we did! Fabulous, fabulous super bright in your face make you think ART! Marilyn Andy Warhol art, Superman comic art, oh and a cool iconic Bob's Big Boy near the front that I really loved. Also a nice collection of famous mugshot photo's that are simply amazing, so tempted to buy one. Thinking about it.... And the price for those weren't to crazy, really to own something fun and different. The guys working there were very welcoming and helpful and engaging as we walked around. Made us feel welcome, I just might have my very difficult to buy husband's next birthday present taken care of......shipped!

Yelp
this is a good place if you want some contemporary art, mostly after the 1970s. it's a small gallery with sculptures, installations, and paintings. artists featured in this gallery are generally successful artists. the ground floor is for new, living artists and some of the well known: Ole Ahlberg, Romero Britto, Bob Dylan... but if you want to see more history, go to the basement: there is at least one artwork by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Basquiat, Ringo Starr,... the list is endless for such a small place. technically you cannot take pictures when you're in the basement. there is a camera there. but i still see people taking pictures (just saying). the gallery owner is also very open so you can talk to him anytime, especially when you want a deal. his working desk is the first thing you see at the door.

Yelp
I can honestly say, the owner Jeff is one of the most kind and ethical people I have had the pleasure to be a client of, but more important than that, getting to consider him a true friend. His depth of knowledge, passion for what he does, and amazing stories about the artwork, has given me an appreciation for artists that I never thought I would normally be drawn to. The entire staff goes above and beyond. In the past, the live events are a true highlight experience. And his pricing is fair for the art he has, he does not price gauge the customer. I can't say enough good things about everyone there. And even if you want to just go in and ask him questions about the artwork, there is never any looking down on someone if they are not knowledgeable about the art, they're more than happy to sit down and tell you everything you need to know about any particular piece. In short, this is a business you can be sure is 100% reliable and trustworthy, and I say that as an extensive client my soul also. I've gotten to accumulate some wonderful pieces that I never would have seen in many other places in my life. I highly recommend this gallery to all who may not have seen it yet, it's definitely worth going in and taking a look at.

Yelp
Nice gallery with two floors of really interesting pieces. Came here for the URNewYork installation and it was a great crowd and I was happy that I came.
