Popino is hands down one of the best restaurants in Panama City – if not the best. We came here for a romantic dinner date, and it was the perfect choice. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Everything was impeccably fresh, and well presented and the taste was wonderful. Paired with a great red wine recommended by the sommelier, who nailed our preferences perfectly. Service was top-notch – our server Angel was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing smoothly, from refilling glasses to timing the courses just right. The atmosphere is beautiful: elegant yet cozy, with music at the perfect volume for conversation. It’s intimate and sophisticated without feeling stuffy. It is absolutely worth every penny for the quality and overall experience. Highly recommend Popino for couples looking for a special night out, or even adult groups. We’ll be back!

Fabulous and classy experience here with outstanding service and delicious food. All the servers treated us so well, and the sommelier recommended a beautiful bottle of wine for us. The entraña was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the fettuccine ragú was so flavorful and delicious. One of the best restaurants and experiences in Panama City.

Popino in Panama City is a place that mixes flavors from different cuisines, and does it in a really good way. The gyozas had a local fruit filling that made them stand out, with a nice balance between sweet and savory. The pasta was rich and tasty, but with a twist that made it feel fresh and unique, not like something you have tried before. The corvina was perfectly cooked, juicy inside with a nice crust on top. The sauce and greens on the side added to the whole dish without taking over. The milhojas dessert was maybe the best part - super crunchy and light, with just the right amount of cream. You can tell they take their time making it. Totally recommend this place.

Omg!!! This place is ridiculously amazing! Absolutely to die for! I’ve tried all the top restaurants in Panama and this was hands down the best one and I’m pretty hard to please. We had octopus, popino seabass and tuna steak and it’s really hard to pick the favorite. The passion fruit dessert is a must as well! The ambience is beautiful and service very knowledgeable and friendly.

My favorites were the grilled octopus and the grilled shrimp — both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also had the cheese cappelletti and the gnocchi with brisket, which were rich and comforting. For dessert, the lemon meringue was fresh and satisfying. Around 8 p.m. a DJ started playing, which added to the atmosphere. Honestly, the place has so much potential to evolve into a full lounge or after-dinner spot. With a bit more intention behind the music — maybe something more upbeat or electronic later in the evening — it could easily become one of the go-to places in the area for people to stay and enjoy the night after dinner. One small note: in most places I've celebrated my birthday, they offer a complimentary dessert, which didn’t happen here. Not a big deal, but it would’ve been a sweet touch. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend Popino for a chic night out in Panama.

Great place! The steak Tartar was very good and the pastrami was incredible. This was some of the best food I've ever eaten. Good but slow service and great atmosphere.
