Poppies Restaurant in Bali is a charming hidden gem that offers a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with lush greenery and a relaxed vibe that makes it the perfect spot for a leisurely meal. The cocktails are expertly crafted, and the food is overall outstanding particularly the fresh local ingredients and the creative dishes. I had the pleasure of trying a few items from the menu, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. My only slight disappointment was that the fish I ordered was a bit overcooked, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Nonetheless, the friendly service, vibrant atmosphere, and delicious food make Poppies a place worth visiting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy, welcoming setting.

It's hidden in the alley. However, just follow the map, and you will find it. I have been here for a few times over a few years whenever i visit Bali. It's still 1 of my favourite restaurants in Kuta. The food is good as always. I came here in the afternoon everytime, the crowd is low. I believe it will be crowded if you visit for dinner. The garden is well maintained. But there are mosquitos. Just get some mosquitos repellent and you will be having a calmer meal. The cleanliness is still yet to improve.

It's my all-time favourite restaurant in Bali. I went there again tonight, 27/08/2024. I must say, in the past, the food was second to none with, high quality food and standard, yet the service was quite slow. However, after my last review, in 2023, I am pleased to say that the food was of the high standard that I have become accustomed to. The service is now next level, and I could not fault it. Well done to all the hard-working staff at this reputable restaurant. Highly recommended

Hidden gem in Kuta with a garden restaurant that offers a great ambiance. The service is excellent, and the best part is their amazing Indonesian food. We ordered their signature dishes, 'Nasi Goreng' and 'Mi Goreng,' both of which were outstanding. It's not expensive and highly recommended!!

Poppies Restaurant Legian, Bali, Indonesia 📍Jln Legian Jl. Poppies I No.16, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali 80361, Indonesia Food: 3/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Poppies Restaurant was founded in 1973 along a sandy track that was later named after the restaurant itself (Poppies Lane). Set in a traditional Balinese courtyard accessible from Legian Street, this is a restaurant that stands out from the rest. The menu consists of local and Western items, a good mix of both worlds. The interior looks more like a garden than a restaurant. Part of the centre yard is made up of a canopy of shady vines with beautiful purple flowers and a koi pond. When it is not crowded, the intrumental music and the fountain at the koi pond give a tranquil feeling. Service is good from their friendly staff. Perhaps I had only tried a few dishes, and I may have missed some great dishes here. Those that I tried looked great but tasted okay. For example, the sate chicken meat texture felt like breast meat, a no-no for locals or regional residence. Probably an adaptation to suit a Western crowd? Still, this restaurant is worth a visit for its unique ambience. #foodphotography #foodhunter #foodie #foodreview #foodblog #foodblogger #foodreview #foodiegram #foodies #delicious #deliciousfood #goodfood #bali #balinesefood #legian #sate

Enjoyed lunch here. Food was good. Drinks were served in a novelty carved coconut. I do question hygiene when I see these. Saw a rat but it’s common for this restaurant. No big deal.

What a surprise... at the bend of a small street these very pretty, welcoming restaurants, after a day in the city I was exhausted then I sat down there and what a surprise, excellent food, professional service. A quiet moment at last... Thanks to them it was an excellent dinner 💯👌✨

This is a must try restaurant if you come to Bali. The RIJSTTAFEL for two includes rice table, satay served on their special bali carved stove, one bowl of steam rice, one bowl of fried rice and two black rice dessert costs 36Aud. I think it's very well priced. We went there in the night twice in one week. The ambience was relaxing and elegant. I like the music too. The service is a bit slow on our second visit (Monday). And I had upset tummy after drinking the none alcohol Pina Colada. Lucky it wasn't too severe and was on second last day of the holiday.
