Poppins is an absolute gem on Mackinac Island! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm, genuine customer service that makes you feel like an old friend. The shop itself is charming and beautifully curated. Every corner is filled with adorable, unique gifts for all ages, and the most delightful stationery, greeting cards, & gift wrap. Whether you’re picking up a keepsake for yourself or the perfect present for someone special, you’ll definitely find it here. My personal favorite & must-visit shop that perfectly captures the magic and charm of the island. Also, don’t forget to visit their sister store on the island, Caddywompus - another awesome shop!

Absolutely adorable shop! It is impossible to come in here and not buy anything. They have all sorts of souvenirs along with other unique gift essentials. Lots of cards and behind the counter they have cute prints of wrapping paper. Some things that I got were their wood carved items, a card, and temporary tattoos. Definity check them out if you are on the island, they are possibly my favorite shop here.

I placed an order with them online and their customer service is top-notch. Their packaging tape is the cutest, they added a hand-written, personalized note about my order, included a chocolate, and everything was packaged super well. Such a great small business and I love the products they offer! ❤️🐴

Poppins used to be one of my favorite stores on Mackinac Island, and I’ve always made a point to stop here on every trip. Unfortunately, after today’s experience, I won’t be coming back. I was shopping with my mom, son, and daughter when the cashier stared at my children the entire time we were in the store, which already made us uncomfortable. When I went to check out, the cashier commented that my daughter was holding a sticker — which is something completely normal for a child to do while browsing. I was fully aware she had it, and my mom was planning to purchase it for her so she could gift it to her auntie. The comment was unnecessary, rude, and embarrassing. My daughter heard it too, and it made her cry. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience here before, but the way we were treated today was enough to make sure we won’t be returning.

Each time I visit, the store feels like stepping into something magical! Always warm, inviting, and full of unique finds (I never leave empty handed). The staff is genuinely so kind and helpful every time!

Cutest little shop! Probably our favorite place we shopped on the island. A couple guests at our hotel picked up watercolor notebooks and painted in the lobby. There’s something for everyone in here. We grabbed a cutie little ornament and could have left with way more!

I had been up to Mackinac Island and my husband bought me a tote bag. I wanted another one but we were already home. I found this store online and I ordered two items. They were shipped quickly and inside the package was a handwritten note card and a piece of chocolate! What a beautiful touch to my purchase! I love my tote bag as well as the pouch I ordered for my makeup! I will be visiting the island again and this time I will look for this store! I want to meet the staff that takes the time to package my order so nicely with a handwritten note!

In the middle of an already charming town lies Poppins, a store of beautiful souvenirs, crafting supplies, and the perfect cards for any occasion. If you're looking for something that captures the beauty of Mackinac Island without being touristy, this is the perfect shop for you! Meghann loves to journal and they have the absolute best colored pens she's ever found. There are several wonderful crafting pieces that she has loved using in her latest projects from here and she always look forward to going back for more!

Aways live this place when visiting the Island, and is a must stop in! Heard about the fire and hope they re-open soon.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Poppins. Without a doubt my FAVORITE small business to support. We ventured to Mackinac Island twice this year. The first time we didn't do much shopping and stayed mostly around the exterior of the island. On the second trip, I made time to do some shopping (especially at Poppins) because it was the last day they were open for the season. The second I got off the ferry I headed to the little red door. I ended up buying a Mackinac bracelet, a few cards, photo frame, among other things. Amanda rang me up and she was an absolute sweetheart. The nicest girl ever! I've seen ordered a few times from their online store (open year round!) They have most of their items on their online store. If you have seen something at their store and it's not posted online, you can send them an email or message and they're great about getting back to you and adding to your order. Amazing customer service, right?! I bought a lot of Christmas presents this year from Poppins. They have a little bit of everything from pillows, to puzzles, to coffee mugs and even wall decor! Plus, you'll feel great about supporting a small business. From stepping into the store or opening one of their boxes, you'll be sure to feel special and loved by the amazing women at Poppins! Highly recommend!

Another ridiculously cute store on Mackinac Island's main street that was absolutely perfect! It's filled to the brim with so many cute items for your home or your loved ones! So many thoughtful gifts just waiting to be discovered! I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't manage to take any pictures in here, but I think it was because I was just so overwhelmed and immediately excited to check everything out that I completely bypassed that first instinct to capture it with my phone. So please do yourself a favor and just pay this adorable establishment a visit the next time you're on the island! I promise you won't regret it and, in fact, will come away from this store with a ton of new & thoughtful gifts and unique home decor, stationary, and other items for yourself as well!

Poppins is downtown on Main Street. Lots of great smelling candles, throw pillows, and other interior decor items. I loved most of their items but they were on the pricey side. And unlike most of the other stores, they did not have any "end of the season sales". I enjoyed window shopping though and would recommend.

I started following Poppins on Instagram in advance of my trip to Mackinac Island. They have a carefully curated feed with photos from the store, which mainly features stationery and paper products, like prints of Michigan and the Great Lakes. You can also find other unique (but pricey) keepsakes like pillows, etc. Like most other stores on the island, no food or drink is allowed, so don't come strolling through with a dish of delicious ice cream.

Love, love, love! If you're looking for bicycle themed gifts, stop here! Lots of beautiful artist options. They have a good assortment of coffee mugs, ornaments, greeting cards, and wall hangings. I went in multiple times and saw something new.

This shop is super adorable. They carry many unique paper products as well as other one of a kind gift items, including candles and pillows. I have to buy something every time I'm on the Island, from Poppins. Also, the young woman who worked there this summer was really personable and a real pleasure.
