Poppy's Cafe

Easily the best breakfast burger I have had. The Cafe is well presented and clean. Good service 👍

We had a very pleasant time at the Cafe. The pulled pork burger was delicious and plenty of hot crispy fries. Easy to order. Food brought in a very reasonable time. Good value for money.

We ordered Scones and iced Chocolates, the scones were stale and the iced Chocolates were not very big. Did not finish the scones. Such a shame as it was a nice clean place.

After 3 hours of walking around the Australian War Memorial, I was keen for a good sit down and some refreshments. It’s a pleasant cafe with lots of indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of natural light. There are some ready made quick dining options like pastries, sausage rolls, sandwiches, salads and fruit salad plus meals you can order off the menu. I thoroughly recommend the pre made Thai Chicken Salad, it was so fresh, flavourful and an excellent serving for the price. I also got 2 takeaway donuts and a lemonade all for just over $30. There were a few bigger communal tables where people were happy to share space and the toilets are adjacent to the cafe. All staff members I encountered were polite and friendly.

The cafe seating is nice, inside and out. The view outside is nice looking back towards Parliament House. The food is fresh but oriented towards the "quick bite" type meals. You can get pre-made sandwiches, slices and bakery goods. They have a small hot food menu with limited options. The food is good though and the service is quick. Even if you're eating in, you're food comes in a takeaway container. I suppose people don't go to the War Memorial for the snacks.

Cafe in the premises of Australian war memorial. Friendly and courteous staff. Reasonable prices. Nice ambience inside the cafe. We enjoyed the chocolate milk shake and mocha.

Overpriced and underwhelming. I asked for 3 thickshakes and received milkshakes, asked to have it fixed and got the same back. Didn't bother asking again as the Cafe was closing and was exhausted. Received my trooper burger and the patty was so burnt it was inedible. Tasted sour and like a charcoal. Left it on the table and walked out. Expensive meal for a side of chips!

We had lunch here after visiting the Australian War Memorial. The decor has a military theme. Food and drink were served promptly. The taste was alright.

The barista needs training, one thing at a time. Do not go if you'd like a "quick" coffee! Need 3 times the staff. Someone in front of me cancelled their order because it took too long.

Oh man. The place. The chicken sandwich was so good that I am seriously considering getting another to take home and introduce to my wife. Just stunning. Staff was nice and the inside feels...cooler...than you might expect at a museum pub. Amazing. Love this place.

Nice little cafe next to the war memorial. Came in for the brekkie and coffee before heading into the AWM and all was great. Nice spot.
