"On the road? Thirsty, but not sure what for? Feel like deciding based on color? Then Pops is the place for you! And you won’t have any trouble finding it, thanks to the giant, neon statue of a soda bottle stationed outside. Established in 2007, this Route 66 restaurant is a futuristic take on a classic roadside attraction. The restaurant building itself is designed in an ultra-modern style, all angular steel and glass. It is purposefully reminiscent of old-style gas stations (it is also a gas station!) with a large overhang out front that juts over the front entrance. Inside, the restaurant is decorated with a huge wall of soda bottles that are stunningly arranged, not by flavor or brand, but by color. Pops sells around 700 different kinds of soda and drinks. The true jewel in Pops’ crown, however, is the massive soda bottle statue standing out front of the restaurant. The 66-foot tall bottle looks like it’s made of rings of neon, but it is actually lit with LEDs, set into the metal rings. Each night, the bottle lights up in an impressive light show, worthy of Route 66’s sensational heritage. The abstract bottle claims to be the largest in the world but given that it’s not really able to hold so much as a drop of Coca-Cola, that’s debatable." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Took a little road trip to Arcadia, Oklahoma to Pops! Great place to hang out for awhile. The food is delicious and quick seating on a Monday. Really enjoyed reminiscing at all the different types of soda I drank as a kid. And in wonderment of some of the strange sodas around the globe. Don’t forget to get a picture by the soda bottle out front.

Stopped for dessert and we were amazed by the treats we were served! Very friendly staff. We will go back often! The best was the Ice Cream Sandwich Sundae! They were unfortunately out of chocolate chip cookies and used a cake as the base. It was amazing with the yellow cake base!

The service was fantastic, friendly and fast! We visited on a Sunday at lunchtime and the wait for a table was 15 minutes, but the bar seats were available immediately and the food came out quick. The breaded chicken sandwich was simple and good. The burger was dry and overcooked, but the onion rings and breaded okra were amazing! Soo many soda choices! ($2.59 each) Loved all the options and we will definitely be back to try more food and soda flavors

Nice place to visit. We had a great time checking out all of the different types of sodas. I bought bacon flavored soda, although I haven't tried it yet. The staff was friendly. I know it is a historical site, but it could use a spruce up. The giant bottle is a definite must for pictures. We will be back.

Very cool place to visit and explore! More flavor of pop than you can imagine! They have some very unique flavors too! I thought the bottles were overpriced though. The internet said the diner opened in the morning for breakfast, however, they really don't open until 1030 for lunch. We went there for breakfast and arrived at 1000 so we were a little disappointed. We stayed until they opened for lunch. Good service, hot food and it got quite busy while we were there.

If you like soda pop and want to try new brands and new flavors, this is the place for you. We got there too early to eat, but had plenty of time to shop. All sorts of Route 66 swag too. The giant spiral bottle in front lights up at night and is right on Route 66. A definite must stop. And they have fuel for your car too (and moon pies!!!)

Jimmy Mollet

Nice spot for a bite to eat and definitely a soda pop or twelve. Nice clean restaurant and the food was good. Check out the back patio if the weather cooperates. There are picnic tables throughout.

Enjoy the historical Route 66 landmarks... Best part of a 250 mile road trip from Dallas. Such a beautiful and unique selection of sodas, from all over the USA. Check the cafe and nice outdoor / indoor seating areas. A nice one stop shop for all. Enjoy it and obey your thirst 😛

Yelp
Tried the French fries--crispy, golden perfection. Honestly, they tasted like they were handcrafted by a fry whisperer. I've had their burger before, and it's a solid 7/10--good enough to dream about occasionally, but not enough to text back right away. The service? Top-tier. Ashton deserves an award, or at least a high-five. The lighting here is so good it made me question if I need to start a TikTok channel, and the sunset view? Chef's kiss. Perfect for romantic vibes or pretending your life is a movie montage. Oh, and soda lovers? Brace yourselves--you'll go absolutely nuts here. Like, soda-paradise-level nuts. This place is a vibe.

Amit K.

Yelp
What a funky place. It is pop sodas. It was lots of them. Beautiful building and display. Definitely stop in.

Shannon N.

Yelp
I remember when this place was so nice when it first opened. I would say for 10 years it was well kept and food was really good and fresh, but now it's disappointing. Burgers are overdone and dry. I will say the positive things are their onion rings and sweet potato fries. I feel like this place should be kept up better and live up to its iconic location off Route 66. Their bathrooms are also not well kept. The women's ceiling is falling apart and toilets don't flush properly, and toilet paper and paper towels are not well stocked. I know this is a negative review, but I have hope that things can improve and I hope they do!

Tim T.

Yelp
Such a cool and historic spot - giant wire frame sculpture of a soda pop bottle and inside, a diner with a convenience store selling every variety of soda you can think of. Put back there is also a nice lawn area with benches where you can sit and relax and where kids can play. I got an apple pie shake from the diner and it was amazing. Service was also excellent and prompt. Have to stop by here again sometime. Definitely recommended if you are ever in Arcadia!

Terry B.

Yelp
Pops is always a great place to bring visitors. Its iconic pop bottle outside is a Route 66 must visit location. I'll be visiting more sites on Route 66 so that will be fun! The food was good and I chose the Arcadia Burger and I would choose this again on my next visit! I loved the combination of the BBQ sauce, Bacon & Blue Cheese! My wife chose the Fish but she wasn't impressed so I'll leave it at that. My D-I-L choose the Mother Road Burger it not only looked good it tasted good as well! We had a great server, Lily and she was so pleasant and always asking if we needed anything more! This truly is an iconic stop on Route 66 when the many variety of sodas! Not only as decorations but to buy as well.

Tuan P.

Yelp
Part gas station, part convenience store, part restaurant. These are just some parts of Pops. Located on Route 66, some reviewers may also label Pops as a "tourist trap." While this may be accurate, I prefer to label it as a tourist attraction. Whether it's a tourist trap or attraction should not matter because Pops is one of the best places to visit in Oklahoma. Pops is known for their soda pops. They have over 500 different varieties to choose from. Only at Pops are you able to buy soda pops that you have never heard of before with brands like Red Ribbons, Henry Weinhard's, Jones, Boots, Dublin, and many more. Not only does it have the varieties, the price is also reasonable. Is it the cheapest? Oh, heck no. Is it expensive? Not really. I paid $19.46 for 6 bottled soda pops. Staffs are very friendly at Pops. I haven't tried the restaurant side, but it was busy, mostly family dining. I love Pops. The place is very trendy. The 66 ft pop bottle outside lights up at night. Good place for family. Seriously, how can anyone not love Pops?

Dee B.

Yelp
Cute nostalgic gas station with a Diner, Oklahoma souvenirs, and a grand selection of soda pop in glass bottles. Some of the pop flavors have hilarious names.. I think they would be great for gifts. You can also drink there, with places to sit outside the shop and enjoy your sweet drink. I didn't see any sugar free options, but I wasn't looking hard. If you like ginger beer, the Cock and Bull pop has a nice kick to it. Most of the selections are in the cooler ready to drink. The Diner has the typical hamburgers, hot dogs, onion rings etc... but we didn't eat here this time. At night the giant pop bottle lights up. My grandson thought it was a giant tooth waterpik lol I recommend a stop here!

Jim G.

Yelp
My wife and I made the trip from Tulsa to OKC. Via. Route 66. We make this trip every couple of years. One of our stops along the way is POPs. This is such a Unique place. That can take care of most travelers needs. They have fuel for your transportation, good food, snacks and unbelievable amount of sodas. The sodas line the outside walls from the floor to the ceiling. I don't think there any other place on earth that has the variety as POPs. They also have some trinkets and T-shirts for souvenirs. There is also outdoor courtyard with table so you can enjoy dining outdoors while allowing your children to run and play. Look for the giant bottle out front. It's kind of neat during the day. But is really neat at night when they turn the lights on.

Boon C.

Yelp
Pop is an interesting place selling pop soda or fritz drink. The entire building display the fritz drink at the glass wall. The colorful fritz drink display beautifully. It is one kind of scene. The pops building is a triangular shape. It is engineering with good architectural aesthetic shape. I got pure cane sugar honey cream soda. It is special. I enjoy bar seat and take a break from my long driving. Overall the pop facility is very nice. Clean restrooms.

Corissa L.

Yelp
What a fun place to stop (or take a detour)! This is a gas station, convenience story and soda shop / diner along Route 66. While here, we picked up some road trip supplies including a selection of "pop" from their extensive selection and had lunch. I was craving chili cheese fries and they delivered, the burger was good and my friend can't stop raving about the root beer bread pudding, which I have to admit was delicious even though I don't really have a sweet tooth. We all had a great time, and definitely glad was made the detour to stop in and check it out.

Karen S.

Yelp
The first thing you see is the giant "pop bottle" made out of neon; now you know, with an entrance like that, the inside is going to be epic and man it's massive! Every kind of pop you can think of - and the ceiling is covered in pop bottles! The smell of sautéing onions and hamburger meat frying was more than I could imagine, I got a greasy, cheesy burger and "a six pack to go" - thank you Hank Thompson Grab the family and head to Pops, explain real pop before all this pop zero stuff

Kathy F.

Yelp
it's not your everyday Gas it's not your everyday convince store. It's so much more the 66 ft Pop bottle that lights up at Sunset calls you in the glass front lines with different color Soda that reflects the sun giving a stain glass effect. Your going to find a family style restaurant, gas station but the kicker is the Soda selection 100's of different flavors and they are flavors you would never think of. They have the coolers are organized by COLOR of soda on the shelves you will find old school candy.

Timmis T.

Yelp
They are really known for their sodas. I love their sodas. I very much recommend their Hanks Grape Soda and Brownie Caramel Cream Root Beer. Their service is not the best, about 40 minutes for a party of five. All we got was 5 burgers and fries. The sodas are very fun to drink, it makes you feel fancy.

Nancy R.

Yelp
A great tourist attractions her visiting relatives. Great souvenirs, such as books featuring Oklahoma attractions, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and of course the endless bottles of many unusual, and regular flavored soda pop. Great tourist attraction, Pop' has a gas station and General store with a small restaurant. You can gas up, souvenir shop and grab a bite to eat. I did not see charging station for electric vehicles.

Shawn C.

Yelp
this place has the weirdest drink flavors ever. I did notice how much DUST was on the shelves all the way around the glass sides. they have lots of odd candy. we never eat here, just browse the odd sodas. its kinda fun to shop around on Route 66 and take back weird sodassodas

Kris C.

Yelp
Just do it. Great photo op, many sodas and we got the Rootbeer Bread Pudding. Get ready to go to the dentist afterwards, but it was really good!

Nicci D.

Yelp
Place is always super packed... not really worth the hype.. but good if you're looking for something touristy.

Chad B.

Yelp
Toasted Jalapeno Corn Bread equals wheat bread with Jalapenos here. Ok So this is more of a heads up review. The sounds of a messy burger on jalapeno corn bread had me excited... until it arrived. It was a Texas toast with jalapenos in it. When i talked with the server she said they get that complaint all the time but the manager won't change the menu. That is about all I have to say as I didn't try anything else when I returned the burger.

Josh S.

Yelp
I love Pops. Been going there for 20+ years, and it's exactly the same now as it was then, for better and worse. Honestly, I don't come here for the food, although it's pretty decent for a greasy burger! The main we come here is for well, the pops! They have a giant selection including some of my favorites and some hard to find varieties. Their prices are very fair and it keeps us coming back. If ever there is a complaint, it's that things get kinda tight when they're busy. I'd recommend coming during an off hour or a week day, otherwise it's elbow to elbow and makes for an uncomfortable time when trying to sort through the hundreds of sodas. We will keep coming back, you should too!

Brittany T.

Yelp
I give it 5 stars because it is such a fun stop and I love the variety of sodas even though I am not typically a soda drinking gal. My husband visited with me for the first time tonight and we ate dinner at the diner too. The food I would give 3 stars. The queso is not good. Their fries are good and their burgers are alright. Okra is okay. It's all about the experience I tried a blueberry Maine Root soda that was alright (I prefer their root beer much better) My husband tried a strawberry cream soda and really enjoyed it.

Shelby Z.

Yelp
I have always been interested in the different stops along Route 66, so it felt like a must to check out Pop's while in OKC. This gas station/diner is a popular spot to grab brunch/lunch, and is also home to over 700 soda flavors you can purchase! It was a ton of fun getting to browse through the different kinds and mix and match them. I also really love their back patio - It's a cute little green space with picnic benches where you can enjoy your soda selection! Don't forget to get your photo with the giant soda bottle outside! It lights up at night as well.

Plumbius P.

Yelp
I drive through Arcadia all the time. Pops is such a cute little stop and I love how it's both a mix of a gas station , fast food and also a place where you can buy goodies like candy bars or little trinkets if you're someone from out of state.

Sebastian B.

Yelp
Cool little gas station between OKC and Tulsa. Little or a bit very...overpriced to fuel up here, but they have an amazing selection of all different kinds and brands of pop. Flavors you never heard of and others you might be worried to try. There is also a really cool gigantic metal soda bottle out front that lights up at night. For sure, a have to stop if you have time to get off the interstate run for a few minutes!!

Sarah S.

Yelp
This place is a tourist attraction, road trip stop, restaurant, store all in one! Very cool place. When you are arriving to pops, you're going to be looking for a giant soda bottle out front ( it lights up at night ). Once you park, you'll notice how the building is all glass and lined with soda bottles! Very neat! Once you go in, it's like a old time diner. It's got that feel. I personally thought the food was ok. Loved all the soda options tho! I had basic chicken strips and mashed potatoes. My mother on the other hand, thought the food was amazing. So you decide! The store has lots of older candy options, apparel and any soda you wish to buy!! Ample parking, easy to find and good prices. Worth a stop! I found out about this place from a friend in OKC who recommended it to me.

Valerie B.

Yelp
Very unique layout with all the soda bottles on the walls. We bought a trinket and had dinner here. They have some very funny named sodas for purchase in the store. The meals are LARGE so if you're not a big eater then you may want to share. The food came out hot and was tasty. The kids working were spot on and checked on us a couple of time. They all appeared to be hard workers. I also had a double fudge malt which was very yummy and thick so I ate the whole thing with a spoon. Very cool looking place and it was worth the stop for dinner.

D C.

Yelp
Stopped by this Oklahoma landmark after a long time of having it on the "to do" list. We concur with other reviews that the food is just okay. We got the Nashville Chicken sandwich and it was more of a mole sauce rather than Nashville hot. The Ultimate Chicken Sandwich was average and the poblano avocado ranch was probably better suited for a taco. However, our server was attentive and friendly and the real stars of the show were our root beer floats. Delicious! We also got the pickle chips and they were very good, if not a bit salty. Fun ambiance too with all the different sodas you can get to bring home. All in all, we were glad we came to visit finally but probably won't rush back, unless we're getting dessert!

Emily D.

Yelp
The food used to be good but it's not anymore. I don't know of management changed or what but it's awful. Restaurant and bathrooms are extremely dirty and unkept. We also had bad service. Go here for the bottles of soda, but not the food!

Bruce K.

Yelp
The 66-foot-tall soda bottle caught my eye and I stopped in to this place to see what Roadside America was all about. "Pop" is another name for soda and yes, Pops is a soda shop carried dozens (hundreds?) of different local and regional sodas from all across America. Most of them chilled in the coolers, some room temperature on the shelves. The place was PACKED. Not just every table filled with people eating but also people digging into coolers to put together their perfect six pack of soda. There is a large parking lot and they also sell gas. The gas is not cheap at all. [Review 16231 overall - 70 in Oklahoma - 1737 of 2021.]

Kirt V.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way back from Texas on Route 66 they have a lot of different sodas. Worth stopping

Hydration S.

Yelp
Good, but not great. The burger was just okay, but the milkshake was tasty. I'm glad I went for the experience but I don't need to go back. The big light up bottle outside was cool and was interesting to look at all the soda options they had in their store.

Traci C.

Yelp
Fun little stop, not far from the interstate and right along Route 66. They have hundreds of different soda flavors and a cafe. We stopped for gas and grabbed a 6 pack of various sodas for the road.

Von A.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick treat. They were slammed but this quick sweet hit the spot. Drop in on Route 66.

Jenna G.

Yelp
Stopped in while in OKC for dinner. Fun place! Thousands of bottles of pop on display which are fun to look at. Good, greasy burger with country onion rings. Lots of cold drinks to choose from as well as fountain drink items. Selection of old fashioned candy as well. Our server was great! Friendly and helpful.

Ashley D.

Yelp
Pops is a really cool place to stop off the highway to grab some old candy and view/purchase from an assortment of off the wall soda drinks! The fridge sodas are organized by type (grape, cream, etc). There is a little restaurant area but we didn't have a chance to try it out. I like that they have the gas pumps out in front so you can fill up with gas and fill up with candy and soda! We stopped in just before 7pm on a Saturday night and it was decently busy inside. Note: I have to agree with someone else's review - there is a weird smell inside the building. Vomit-ish....

Morgan G.

Yelp
Sorry super dry small hockey puck burger.... Over priced. Used to be an excellent burger here. Not these days....

Rod P.

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast after camping nearby at Lake Arcadia. We stop by here to get various sodas and occasional burger. Sons ordered breakfast burritos. Tasted okay. I got 3eggs sunny side up. With sausage and toast with coffee. All good except toast was cold and sausage was over cooked or microwaved and was hard. Overall gave 3 stars, meh. This place better for their novelty sodas and lunch menu. Maybe their pancakes or waffles are a better option for breakfast.

Karol M.

Yelp
This is a neat little spot! I love sodas so as soon as I walked in, felt like I was in heaven with the selection. They have so many sodas, it was hard to choose. I ended up buying two of the 6-packs so that I could choose 12 sodas. I wish they had "crazy" flavors, but if they did they were hard to find. The bottles on the wall are just for display, so you pick out your sodas from the refrigerated section. I also grabbed some food from the diner, but it took so long...almost 30 minutes to get our food (grilled cheese, queso fries, peanut butter malt milkshake abs bread pudding). I was not a big fan of the bread pudding, but highly recommend the fries and shakes. My BIGGEST ISSUE is that it felt unsafe right now during COVID times. They don't require masks and most of the employees were not wearing masks. It added to my anxiety when it got crowded, and most folks not wearing masks. Definitely worth a stop, but just beware that mask-wearing and social distancing are not being observed.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Landed there after doing other oddities along historic Route 66. While fun and interesting, the place was absolutely disgusting. I arrived close to closing which is at 10pm, and the employees were already "cleaning" up. Was really excited to stop at such a historical and unique location, only to leave sorely disappointed. The staff was not very helpful and just gave off the vibe that they hated it there. A very large variety of interesting sodas I've never seen before. The tshirts they sold are really cool but a little on the pricey side. All in all, I would still recommend stopping by just to take a look

Holden M.

Yelp
The glass bottled pop is fun. The food started great with the pickle fries but it was downhill from there. I ordered the grilled southwest chicken dinner. It honestly should have never made it out of the kitchen. Food was spoiled. Chicken was rancid. I took one bite because... well, that's what I ordered. Mistake. The next 24 hours was... miserable. I told my waitress about the smell and taste. They took my meal off of my bill. All in all, I love Rootbeer and they always have a great variety. Expensive but fun. I'd completely avoid the food.

Hunter S.

Yelp
On Oklahoma Route 66, I stopped off between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, and actually went 20 miles out of my way to see it. Definitely worth it. Lots of fun sodas to try, from bacon flavored to vomit flavored to the more traditional cherry, orange etc. I imagine anything you could want is here. There is also a cafe that serves burgers and typical greasy fare. They have Route 66 trinkets and souvenirs. This place also has gas pumps and reportedly the world's largest soda bottle sculpture, which is a really fun neon photo op at night.

Connor L.

Yelp
Busy but good service and servers with positive attitudes, this was my "well done" burger. Yummy and fun. Got me a couple cool sodas after I ate.

Tyler S.

Yelp
Listen, if you want an experience or about any type of sofa, this is your place. It's a great place to experience, and it'll no doubt be a bit of a drive to get there. If you don't like soda, the diner will probably be a bit of a let down, so just don't go in with high expectations. Get a picture with the giant white soda bottle... which is just one of those things people do!

Jeremy T.

Yelp
I had this place on my radar on a recent business trip to the OKC area and was able to stop by before heading to the airport even though it was in the opposite direction. I was able to find 8 root beers that I haven't tried...bad news is that they were mostly blah tasting. I didn't recognize the spot at first and thought it was another business because it comes up fairly quickly after exiting the freeway and heading east. There are many sodas lining the walls just about to the ceiling, which are full unopened bottles, but they're just for decoration. Most of their sodas for sale are in the refrigerated case along the west wall of the building, with a few convenience store shelves with room temperature sodas for sale. This is opposite from most soda shops ive visited which mostly have their for sale sodas at room temperature and only a limited selection that are refrigerated. As with many soda shops, there is a different selection between the room temp sodas and the refrigerated ones. Most of the root beers are located in the refrigerated section. There is also a small diner within the eastern portion of the building that several people were eating at. Not sure about the food since I didn't try it, but there isn't much competition in the area obviously.

Evelyn G.

Yelp
We were in Oklahoma visiting my sister-in-law for the first time since she's moved here. Apparently this gas station is a touristy spot for its location on Route 66 and the numerous varieties of bottled sodas they sell from the old fashioned coke bottle to the eclectic flavored sodas such as maple syrup, corn soda, and blueberry root beer. It's a neat place to visit

Jilli D.

Yelp
Must try experience when driving the route 66. There were so many sodas to choose from! We were delighted by the diversity from all across the country. As we made our drive we enjoyed sipping on them. You have to make the stop and take a photo with the giant pop bottle!

Summer G.

Yelp
Rachel helped us and it was so much fun! She was super friendly and we had a blast picking out different sodas. They have a 'pick six' for around $15 which is pretty decent considering all the different options for sodas! We are also participating in the Route 66 passport program (Visit OKC Tourism Center for details on the awesome, free program!). We got stamps for our passports! We went at night because we knew the lights would be cooler. But the restaurant was closed and we wanted dessert :( Overall it was a great experience but we went a super crowded time and it was a tad nerve wracking with two kiddos in tow. Wifey tip: she drove us 0.8 miles down the road to the Arcadia Round Barn. Pretty cool and took ten minutes!

Ashlee M.

Yelp
I use to love this place as a kid but we went back this week and it was terrible. The place just looked ran down. Restrooms were gross. The food was not good. I'm sad to see how this place turned out.

Seth A.

Yelp
Wow...this is Pops...an iconic roadside restaurant/landmark/attraction right along famous Route 66 in Arcadia, Oklahoma. To be more exact...Pops is located about 22 miles north of Oklahoma City off Interstate 35 (I-35). For all those visiting OKC for the first time (like I was) I'd recommend stopping on by here as it's not too far away. Pops is good for a 1/2-day trip combined with doing a portion of the Route 66 drive to get a real feel understanding for being in the heartland of the good ole USA. So...you're probably wondering why I gave this place only 3 stars??? I visited Pops back on Monday, Labor Day, 2021 and it was packed with visitors! It was virtually impossible to even move around inside! Ugh...frustrating. Initially I thought I'd come here to relax, hang out, have lunch and enjoy the 1950's - 60's setting of an old-fashioned diner. But...the line just waiting to be sat down was impossible. Okay so...well, the real reason I came here anyways was to try out the tons of selections of soda pops. I thought the whole premise was terrific. I was very excited in anticipation. If anyone has ever been to Atlanta and toured the World of Coca-Cola Factory Museum...and if they've appreciated Coke World...then this Pops is sort of similar in all the aspects of offering old time, under the radar mom and pop brand sodas. That's what you can expect to discover here, having a fun refreshment and purchasing some bottles to take home with you as souvenirs/gifts for yourself, family and or friends. Since it was beyond busy...I mean, I must have been here around 2pm and even just trying to pick a 6-pack of soda to take for the road was difficult. And that's because of too many tourists. Funny, it was like all the refrigerator shelves were being emptied. This place was so popular. Overall, it was just very difficult to not even bump into strangers when trying to find your favorite bottles to choose from. And especially during these pandemic times...no one was wearing a mask. I felt kind of guilty like a sin for sort of being surrounded by too many people. In the end, I just picked a poor day to visit. I'd certainly suggest coming here during off peak times during the week and out of season. Some notes and details... - Pops is open 7 days a week. Store hours are 6am - 10pm. Restaurant hours are 10:30am - 9pm. Breakfast is served Saturdays and Sundays from 7am - 10:30am. - You can also purchase gasoline here. - Pops is good for a midday stop no matter what you are doing. - There's the giant-sized soda bottle situated just outside the store/restaurant. Everyone was taking a photo with this as sort of a memorable moment. - You can buy the bottled sodas individually as many as you'd like. What most people were doing was taking a 6-pack plastic cartridge and loading up with their favorite choices. I'd say this was the most popular method. - They also have pre-packaged 6-pack and 10-pack containers where Pops picks out their bestselling sodas and they're ready to-go without any hassles. - I can't believe I forgot prices, but I believe a 6-pack sold for $15 ...$2.50 per bottle. - They sell sodas from a giant refrigerator plus room temperature bottles from the store shelves. - If you love root beer then you'll be happy to know they feature all sorts of brands. I'd definitely say root beer was their most varied selection. - Pops is not just a restaurant/soda joint...they also sell apparel, hats, and miscellaneous souvenirs for kids and the entire family. Although it was difficult maneuvering around the store with so many people trying to buy sodas, I decided to purchase 6 root beers for myself which was relatively easy. My big problem was picking 6 diet sodas to bring home to my parents. Pops' choices of diet sodas were so minimal. The selections they did have were sort of flavored diet sodas and for my parents who are basic/plain diet soda drinkers...I knew picking 6 would be a challenge. Ultimately, I had to double up on a few of my picks. I also bought a couple of magnets and postcards. In total, with 12 bottles bought and some take-home gifts, I spent about $45. Along with snapping a couple of photos with the soda bottle outside and after getting myself organized with finding what to buy inside amid the mass hysteria of visitors, I probably spent close to 2 hours here. Crazy, but I got it done. Finally, the taste of all my root beers were just fine. The brands were definitely unique and the outer labels were attractive, but these old-fashioned mom and pop brands tasted like your regular ole root beers, like Mug or Barq's. I guess for me, I had higher expectations for being transported back to simpler times. Lol, I never got there. My parents hated their diet sodas. They drank 1 of the 6 bottles and the others went down the drain. I guess Pops does not specialize in diet. Regardless of the chaos going on inside, I'm grateful to have made it here to Pop's, a classic /vintage stop along famed Route 66.

Yelp
We always look for a fun spot to visit on Friday. Todays stop was Pops! So happy we made this happen. Kids loved looking at the "old fashioned" candy selection- anything from Charleston chews to pop rocks! We did chose a few of the less- traditional soda flavors. Made a six pack to take home. Of course we took the pics outside of the giant soda cup- which is 66 feet tall!! Love that!! Kiddos enjoy the ice cream sandwich sundae!! Absolutely HUGE!! Two giant chocolate chip cookies with a ton of vanilla ice cream topped with a generous amount of whipped cream, cookie crumbles, chocolate and caramel syrup... so many toppings!!! I must admit the cookies were rock hard - nearly impossible to break with the plastic spoon we were given. We asked for "real" spoons which helped to break the cookie apart. Could have been a 5 start review if the cookies were softer. Service was warm, genuine, friendly, prompt. We had a great afternoon!!!
