The Old Town harbour nestled in the eastern part of the Old Town. Historic as this was the centre of trade the old Dubrovnik Republic where wooden galleons were built. Now more can be learned in the maritime museum nearby. The Old Town harbour is where the main boat to the nearby Lokrum island departs.

This is one of the iconic places of old city of Dubrovnik. This is located one end of the city. Tourists find this vicinity as a great place to rest while they roam around the old city ramparts of Dubrovnik. This has a many vibrant photo locations and people prefer to spend time here leisurely. Good to rest during the evenings and morning times.

Very busy tourist area in Dubrovnik, but the atmosphere was nice and the walk from the harbour to the Stradum was great as well. Word of warning if you’re not on a cruise ship, then avoid the area if they are scheduled to dock. We found out the hard way that some places in the city are maxed out when cruise ships are in port.

Porat Dubrovnik offers a delightful experience for visitors seeking to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and scenic beauty of the city's harbor area. Situated near the Old Town, Porat serves as a lively hub where history, culture, and natural beauty converge. The harbor is bustling with activity, from colorful boats coming and going to lively waterfront cafes and restaurants. It's a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea while savoring some local cuisine or a refreshing drink. The backdrop of Dubrovnik's ancient city walls adds a touch of historical charm to the picturesque setting. Walking along the waterfront, visitors can soak in the sea breeze and watch the sunset paint the sky in vibrant hues. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, making it a great place for people-watching and capturing memorable photos. While Porat Dubrovnik is not a historical site per se, it offers a lively and scenic experience that complements the more historical attractions of the city. Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, Porat is a must-visit spot that captures the essence of Dubrovnik's coastal allure.

Nice historic site if ur into history, art and museums it's a great place . For me it a bit too commercial. But the architecture and sheer size of the walls are impressive

A visit to Dubrovnik’s Old Town is an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by impressive, massive stone walls that have been wonderfully preserved, the city captivates with its historical charm and unique atmosphere. A walk along the walls offers breathtaking views of red terracotta roofs, narrow, winding alleys, and of course, the mesmerizing turquoise-blue Adriatic Sea. The main street, Stradun (Plaka), is bustling and always full of tourists and locals alike. Along it are souvenir shops, restaurants, and cafes, and it leads to key sites such as the impressive Onofrio’s Fountain and the magnificent Rector’s Palace. Every corner of the city tells a story, from ancient churches to peaceful monasteries. Although the Old Town is packed with tourists, especially in high season, you can still find quiet and charming corners in the side alleys. The Mediterranean atmosphere, along with the rich history and impressive architecture, make Dubrovnik a must-see destination for anyone looking for a combination of culture, scenery, and beauty.

Beautiful to see, but super crowded. Go early in the morning like 6am for best photo opportunities
