Came here for a birthday brunch with a friend and had a delightful time! The food was delicious and everything we got was a bigger portion than expected. The garlic parmesan wings were so good and I loved my short rib benny. Patrick was our server and gave us exceptional service. My friend and I will be back!

I am so happy I tried this place out. It exceeded my expectations. Right off the bat when you walk in, the interior is amazing, the skylight, the greenery, design is wow. It feels like you’re in LA 😉. The service was wonderful, our waitress was incredibly sweet, food came fast, couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was delicious, and adventurous. Flavours that you normally wouldn’t expect were added together and just elevated every bite. Same for the drinks. You can tell creativity is valued here, even by the bartender competition of coming up with a unique drink. Great value as well, prices for both food and drinks are very fair. I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back again.

We went to Porch for some after dinner drinks. We ordered Mr. Julius, Watermelon Tide, About Last Night and Shirley Temple. The drinks were delicious with unforgettable flavours. We also ordered Herbed Hummus (diced peppers, cucumbers & kalamata olives, hazelnut dukkah, pomegranate molasses dressing served with warm pita) to accompany the drinks. The dish tasted amazing and we enjoyed it very much! This place has a nice ambiance and good vibes. Staff are nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back to try more food that’s available on their menu.

Excellent experience overall! truly a 10/10. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. The team was attentive, professional, and made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the evening. The food selection is impressive, and the appetizers were absolutely amazing, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The lamb chop was also excellent, cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. If I had to pass on anything, it would simply be some of the lamb and beef option on the menu based on personal preference , but that’s purely subjective. Everything we had was prepared very well. A special thank you to the manager, Kim, who was incredibly welcoming and clearly paying attention to every detail to ensure every guest had the best possible experience. That level of care really stands out. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Stopped by for lunch and it happened to be happy hour. Their two cocktails were delicious i highly recommend the just peachy and only having one. We also had the chicken burger, calamari and wings. The calamari was not crunch enough for me and was a little too soggy for my liking, the wings were great and very big ! The burger was good but nothing too special. The inside however is super cute and i’d for sure come back for some drinks !

We went here last night and we were a group of 12 to celebrate a 35-year wedding anniversary. Our host did the reservations and pre-ordered the appetizers for us - Calamari, Wings, and Fries. It was a great start with Patrick, our server, taking the helm to make sure we were looked after. The pre-ordered apps were promptly waiting for us when we arrived. As a family-oriented gathering, we ordered the Mr. Julius non-alcoholic drink and it was fruity but not too sweet. We all enjoyed it. Our group ordered for mains - short ribs with a sweet and savory sauce, cioppino, crusted salmon - perfectly cooked, steak frites, lobster gnocchi, pepperoni pizza, and for myself, the chicken piccata. Based on the feedback, from our party - food was good. I, myself, was impressed with my chicken piccatta. The chicken was expertly cooked - crunchy skin and moist tender meat. The Kale Ceasar and Calamari are good, too; worth a try. What stood out for this night was the excellent service led by Patrick. His attentiveness and energy was contagious. Knowing that our hosts were celebrating their 35th anniversary, they were given free sparkling drinks. One of the party brought cake and Porch obligingly provided the means to have a candle lit and sliced up the cake for us. All in all, a great night for everybody.

Had a great experience at The Porch overall. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and it’s a really nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal with my daughter. The only downside was that our server seemed a bit disengaged, so service wasn’t quite at the level we expected. That said, everything else more than made up for it, and I would definitely return. Looking forward to an even better experience next time.

This was my first time here and I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is beautiful and unique, the food and drinks were amazing, but the service was horrible. We were brought to a dirty table, so we had to go back to the front and wait for it to be cleaned. This was followed by waiting for 20 minutes after being sat and still no one had come to us, so I went to the front and asked for a server. A lady came over and took our drink orders, then brought our drinks and disappeared. We watched her set tables and help others but she didn’t come over to us. After 45 minutes of nothing, I asked the nearest server Mal if we could order our food through her instead. She took over our table and was amazing. She was super sweet, checked in lots, and overall improved my entire experience. Mal was super lovely and apologetic. I do want to come back, but for a first time experience I was disappointed. No discount or anything was offered unfortunately.

My wife and I made lunch plans to try this place out. Our experience was a 5/5! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ambiance was spectacular. Our server was very tentative and walked us through their drink and food menu. Our service couldn't have been better. We had the Morta sandwich and the fried chicken sandwich. Both were amazing but the fried chicken sandwich was the winner. If you're looking for a good spot to eat check out Porch, you won't be disappointed!

Wanted so badly to love this place. The decor and the vibe are awesome. We made a reservation for Happy Hour on a Saturday and were seated quickly. Waitress was super friendly and took our order quickly. Then the trouble started. The drinks took at least 25 minutes, and one of our party's food showed up first. Then once we got our drinks, another member of our party got their food. Then it took 1.5 hours for the rest of our order to arrive - which were 2 simple items off the happy hour menu. The manager comped the 2 late dishes, which was great, but we left feeling unhappy overall. On a positive note, the drinks were delicious

Ok so this is bar none the best bar and resto in Calgary on 17th strip. So here's the story the owner set it up in honor of his grandmother's house in North Carolina. He has swing seats at the bar. Ok amazing! Then the bartenders are absolutely friggjn amazing. They make up the best concoctions and make sure you are covered be it food or drinks all night long. It's a great vibe w sexy and diverse people throughout. Drinks check! Now the food it is absolutely a foodies spot. We had Brussels sprouts: amazing, Korean wings : , lamb chops: best in the business , calamari: honestly they didn't miss on anything. This is a must go to in Calgary!! Thank me later

Major hotspot on 17th ave. Great vibes, and it's a go to spot for brunch and mimosas. Highly recommend, whether you're a local or just visiting Calgary

The restaurant ambiance and aesthetic was amazing. It's initially what attracted my friends and I to the restaurant. However, the food and drinks were okay. We ordered the kfc wings, Greek street cart fries, and kale Caesar salad. They have a wide selection of food on their happy hour menu however they only had 2 cocktails for the drinks portion of the menu. Overall, the vibe is great and I might need to try more things on the menu to get a better read.

My husband and I just went here yesterday, and surprisingly, it was good. I thought this place would be overpriced, but it was reasonable. We were lucky enough to get a patio seat and could people-watch. I don't drink, and what I liked about Porch was the good selection of mocktails, and the one I ordered was tasty. My husband and I split the hummus, and I ordered the burger. The burger was okay, but the side Caesar salad I got was good, especially their homemade croutons. This is definitely a place I would come back to.

Great place to hang out with friends or casual date, especially with good weather. Food: Lamb chops were well seasoned and charred beautifully, unfortunately one was a bit overcooked. Pork souvlaki was just average, hero being the pita. Pasta was unfortunately bland. Service: Excellent. Patio spot opened and the host voluntarily offered it to us. Server was attentive and friendly. Even apologized for a fly in the water. Poor fly. Atmosphere: Very lively. Feels like you are at a celebrity's patio party. Everyone seems like they are having a good time. Value: Fair. Food is decent but you are sure to have a good night here with friends.

I came around 9:30pm on a Thursday with a group of 4 and we were seated immediately. Luckily we made it in time to order food, as the last orders are taken at 9:45. I tried the lemon pepper chips (good), KFC (very good), porch burger (okay), and mushroom pasta (very good). The server was nice, but very busy and didn't really check on us. We needed more water and had to wait a really long time and also waited maybe 20 minutes to get the check. The atmosphere was beautiful, very pretty and photogenic place. It was extremely loud inside and difficult to hear normal conversation.

Went to this restaurant while on vacation. I had many questions about the foods on the menu and with the patience of the waitress, I ordered from the "special" menu. The beef was delicious, tender and plentiful. The dish was served with French fries and they were good as well.

Incredible ambiance from the moment you step foot in the door. Fresh, bright, open inside with multiple seating arrangements that give totally different vibes. Food was delicious all around. What we ordered is below but from what we could tell, you can't really go wrong. Apps -- Hummus, Calamari, Korean Wings, Truffle Fries, Lemon & Pepper Chips Entree -- 6 oz sirloin with Pommes frites and butter garlic prawns Drinks -- "Red pill" booze bag Hong was a phenomenal server. Prompt, attentive, and personable.

Food was bomb!! 100% recommend we enjoy our brunch everything was on point. Ambiance was calm enjoyable!

This place has one of the coolest interiors I've ever seen, I love all the fake plants and the tree inside. Service was lovely, friendly, fast :) would recommend to friends and definitely go again some time

Came here for a late dinner since it was one of the few places that were still open when we landed. We had a reservation, but waited about 5 min before we were sat cause the table before us were finishing up. For our dinner, we shared the poutine and Korean bbq wings from the late night bites menu. Both were really good. I wish there were more cheese curds on the poutine, but that would prob be my biggest complaint. Wings had good flavor. It's def a younger crowd that hangs out at the Porch. It was loud and busy, but our food and drinks came out in a reasonable time.

So good. Great staff. Food was all fantastic, can't say enough good things. Also I have a hearing problem and asked to be moved out of the noisiest area... they helped me out and found a somewhat quieter spot, and I said Sorry for the trouble, and the woman said: You should never have to apologize for that." I almost cried, she was so kind and gracious.

Go for the Haply Hour Specials! Really great HH prices on food and drinks. The vibe is peak hipster, but it's so well done and the staff is top notch. Great cocktails and the spicy chicken sandwich was fresh, spicy and cooked perfectly. Fully recommend starting your night here.

I love this place! It's one of my favourite places in Calgary. The place is well-decorated, tidy and organized. It's one of the few restaurants that open till late. It's such a relaxing place because even if it's packed you can't hear the people's noise and the music is not loud and they're always playing something nice to listen to. The place is big so you don't find yourself cramped with other people. Their drinks menu is as interesting as their food menu. Their happy hour menu is great and prices are right. Their staff are always polite, friendly and quick to help in case of any doubts or issues. During summer, their patio is nice. The last time I went, we decided to go for the happy hour menu. The Kale Caesar salad is my favourite dish on their menu. Everything tasted fresh and tasteful. It's a must to go if you're in Calgary.

My wife and I went here for a late afternoon bite, we did not wait long until we were helped and seated, menus and water were provided by our server very quickly. We decided to have the small plates, less expensive smaller portion of items from the main menu. my wife had the Double Cheeseburger Slider and we shared the Lemon Pepper Chips (with dip) both from the $5 side. I had the Chicken Gyro prices at $7. The chips came first, and were crunchy, tasty and delicious with the large amount of dip you get with the plate. sorry for the photo, you get much more chips than that, there were enough for two people to share. Looking at the rest of the menu, it seems to offer the usual staples that you can find downtown at the same prices. They have quite a list of specialty cocktails, but be prepared to pay a premium price for them. Though from what we saw from our table, looked quite delicious and interesting. The slider was very tasty, my wife enjoyed it, she let me have a taste, very delicious, beautifully grilled, there are two patties smashed thin, bun was nice and soft. Though I found the patties were a touch on the dryer side for my liking, the bite I had was still a very good burger. I had the Chicken Gyro, the wrap was soft, the chicken had a nice char to it, onions and tomato, the ratio is more meat than veggies, sauce was just the right amount. This dish was neither dry nor swimming in sauce. We sent some time there playing a game of cribbage, and did not feel rushed by the staff (we were there after 2:30). The restaurant was clean, airy and very fun, and it was quite a surprise to find swings at one side of the bar, though this I will leave to younger or braver people at the bar. It is very open, though broken into quite a few small sections that isolate groups from everyone else. We are looking forward to visiting Porch again in the near future.

What an amazing dinner we had! Our server was amazing- very friendly, engaged and gave us honest recommendations. We were there during a downpour our server told us we got the perfect seat- no leaks coming down on us For appetizers, we enjoyed the chips and dip and the potato cakes with tomato onion relish- SO YUMMY! For dinner, I had the Lobster Gnocchi- one of my top 5 best dishes. The flavors were magical! My hubby had the summer salad with salmon, and others had the wild mushroom pappardelle and the Caesar with a chicken kabob- all equally yummy. The swings at the bar really add a whimsical touch to this experience.

Didn't have any food. Just came for the mimosa's. Great service. Great ambiance! Looking forward to coming again to sit on the swings!

From Melrose to Corbeaux's Bakery to Porch, I've been to them all.. Porch is a new concept that is now popular in the Calgary. Move aside beer halls, make room for vintage modern vibes..! Double sided entrance to a well lit room. The ceiling fans reminded me of a beachy vibe and the trees with Christmas lights gave the room a warm glow.. Other than the difficulty to hear my date (which is common at so many restaurants, install sound boards and guest will sit longer and spend more $$!!) The service and food was very good. We had truffle parm fries with curry aioli, tuna crudo (really tart and lemony) and the briased short rib ravioli (to die for!!). Would like to try more items on the menu. Would definitely return

Overall decent experience but despite calling and trying to make a reservation we were told there was a 20 minute wait on the phone. When we got there we waited about a little more than an hour to get seated. They took customers who seemed to be their friends or colleagues before others waiting in line. It seemed very unfair. A couple behind us even left after being promised it'll be a few more minutes. The food was good 8/10 but the serving sizes were on the smaller side. The atmosphere was very loud with music and chatter. We both didn't enjoy how hot and dry it was in the restaurant where we were seated. My contacts went dry from the dry heat blasted above us. It was a very well decorated restaurant but I wouldn't recommend again given the experience we had.

Great ambience, great staff, great food, great drinks. Enough said! Just kidding, here are more details from my experience. Went for dinner on a weekday - made a reso but probably could've walked in. It was pretty busy though. Got two different cocktails while there and both were tasty. For food had the beef tartare which comes with chips and the chocolate cake dessert. Both were tasty and there was so much more on the menu I want to come back and try. Definitely recommend!

If you are ever in Calgary, eating at this restaurant is a must. We had an amazing meal here. The restaurant is beautiful, the food amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. My wife had the Greek salad and it was wonderful. I had wild mushroom pizza and it was spectacular. Our friends had two pasta dishes, which they raved about. And the manager dropped by our table for a pleasant conversation and ended up giving us a complementary dessert. The prices are very reasonable. I took a couple pictures and as you can see there is outside dining. We literally stumbled across this place by chance. Now we know. Next time we're back in Calgary this restaurant will be our go to place.

Love the atmosphere and vibe here. The food, drinks and service were amazing. We ordered a few different things to all share and everything was very delicious. My friends and I had an amazing time and I'd definitely go back again.

Service was 10/10 their customer service is amazing here we were greeted by 2 girls not snobby at all and our waitress was super honest I came here with just my girlfriend and we were ordering 5 dishes and asked if it would be too much if we ordered the Mac and cheese and she was super honest and said it's a lot and will be filling but why don't you guys try all the other stuff first and see if you can fit in the Mac and cheese after. She also made amazing suggestions which is what we tried we were told to stay away from the liver pâté. WHICH WAS GREAT because everything was super great and we were full!! We didn't even end up finishing everything. The food was 9/10 but the customer service sold me. Atmosphere is amazing super earthy and cozy!

We had the braised ribs and the sirloin. Place was fantastic, atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!

Celebrated my birthday here awhile back and the experience was really great. Food was awesome. The ambiance of the place is really cozy, great for a date night or intimate party. Kudos to the staffs and the manager that really made my day special! Will definitely be back.

Came here for drinks Saturday night. Tried the Violet Fizz, Phlight of the Bumble Bee, Just Peachy, and Heavy Soul. The drinks were expensive but tasty and well made. - Violet Fizz tastes a bit like a slightly botanical blue popsicle - Phlight has a lovely honey aftertaste - just peachy was my favorite, super refreshing and fruity - heavy soul is def for tequila lovers, the chocolate and cigar notes really come through and comes with a super cool ice cube, a clear block of ice with a 'P' inside We also got some snacks. - lemon pepper chips, really good would recommend - fried potatoes, a bit like soggy wedge fries, would not recommend

So disappointing. Hidden in the very fine print, when one reserves through Yelp and not through the restaurant website, is mention of the fact that minors are not allowed after 8PM. I arrived for my 8 PM reservation with my 14 year old girls after a very long day of travel, and was turned away. This is NOT the way to welcome visitors. I'm all for adult-only experiences, but if you don't want patrons of a certain age, make it obvious. Make it CLEAR during the reservation process. When people reserve through Yelp, this policy is hidden in the fine print. Starting over with dinner planning at 8 PM in a city we didn't know wasn't a great experience.

Have been here a handful of times and overall its very nice. Good selection of drinks and although there isn't a ton of food options (especially for vegetarians), the food is good quality. A few minor complaints from the last time we were there make it a 4- rather than 5-star: 1) One of the few veggie options, the greek salad, is pretty sub-par as it has no olives (why??) and although the capers could have potentially made up for this there were like 3 in the whole dish 2) The music is pretty loud. Its ok if you're in a small group (i.e., 2-4), but more people than that gets pretty tough to hear. 3) Our server the last time we went was SO awkward. We were there in a relatively big group (6 or 7 of us), and the server exclaimed "perfect!" or "I love it!" after every single person's dinner order. By the end I could barely keep a straight face it was just so ridiculous. Obviously totally harmless and I am not sure it would have stuck with me/been worth mentioning, but then at the end of the meal she went into this whole long-winded explanation about the gratuity and the bill that was wildly confusing and resulted in us almost not tipping at all (which we would never do!). The whole thing was just totally bizarre and left us feeling really unsettled, which is not really what you want when you're spending money on a nice meal out. So in sum I'd say its a great spot for happy hour drinks and apps with max 4 people, but not necessarily a full on dinner (especially if you have vegetarians or those with other dietary requirements or if you have more than 4 people).

The service & ambiance is excellent!! The food is okay! Nothing to die for! Ordered empanadas & thought the spicy sausage would be inside the empanada but they were just little crumbs on the plate! The cheese empanadas were nice & large though! The server was really good & kept on checking in to see if I was okay!

Dinner with friends. What a cool place. The atmosphere was fun and casual. The drinks delicious and the summer salad - wow, a favourite of mine. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. It was a great night out celebrating. Can't wait to go back.

The ambiance and food is amazing! They had a fun selection of cocktails and a very wide range of items on their menu. They were no longer taking walk ins when we arrived, but we sat at the bar and still had a great time. Even though the staff were slammed with it being unusually busy, they were all so attentive and kind!

Landed here without knowing anything about and was really pleasantly surprised. Great food and friendly service. Lots of laughter at the surrounding tables - always a good sign.

Honestly one of the most unique bars in Calgary. one of my favorite places to go when it's super nice out during the summer.

Amazing Absolutely Amazing It so so nice to see the Porch in the Heart Of The Red Mile. The atmosphere and vibe is super cool. The food was fantastic and the great service as well. Five thumbs up from me and my friends. The Porch has the nice enclosed patio in the city. I would highly recommend checking it out!!

I loved everything about this place. The food was great and the vibe was even better. Service was excellent! It's such a cute place inside. The music selection perfect. I was only visiting Calgary but I wish I could've bagged this place up and took it back home with me.

The Porch was a great find in Calgary. Came for lunch and family ordered garlic grilled prawn, grilled salmon, and grilled beets and fried goat cheese salad. All superb with friendly hostess, great waitress and a nice check in by the manager. And the location and vibe was fun to top it all.

What great food and neat environment! This literally feels like you're dining on a "boho sheek" porch. The swings around the bar and neat layout was very cool. Even all the plates that come out of the kitchen are well thought out! Definitely check this place out if you're looking for some good Greek inspired food.

As I was enjoying my dinner at the porch. With my wonderful husband, and 6 children. I couldn't help but notice the odd interior. As I divulged into my perfectly cooked salmon, I finally realized.. hey, it's designed like a porch!!!!!!!! Who would've thought. What creativity. So pumped !!

A restaurant with a pretty chill vibe and mostly good food as well. The overall look and feel was on point, between the decor, outdoor seating (benches, tables, swings, etc.), and natural light coming in. All of that made for a fun lunch trip. The service throughout was spot on as we were constantly tended to and even had the manager check on us multiple times throughout. The food itself was pretty good, though not that memorable. For starters, the Lemon & Pepper Chips were delicious and the dip that came with it was easily the highlight of the meal. The Fried Potatoes were fine, but still fairly similar to what you would expect from a dish with wedges. The Porch Wings were very fresh and good in general, but still had a little too much of a fishy taste (lingered on my fingers for a bit afterwards as well). The Grilled Beef Tenderloin sandwich was cooked perfectly, but the sandwich overall was a little on the dry side. The seasoned fries on the side were great though, so the overall dish wasn't terrible. It's definitely worth a trip on a nice day for outdoor dining, but probably moreso for the vibe than the food itself.
