Porches Pottery

This place is magical. The shop was beautiful with so many amazing pieces to choose from and the cafe had delicious coffee and food (best coffee we had in Portugal actually). We came back the next day just to enjoy the cafe again. This place was definitely a highlight of our trip and would 10/10 recommend.

It's a nice stop, but mostly just a shop with lots of pottery based items for sale. I did enjoy the interior areas with fireplaces.

Porces Pottery is a local pottery studio where they make beautiful handmade pottery. You can find stunning pieces on display, all signed and dated on the bottom. We could not leave empty-handed!

Our guide Jonny took us here. It is amazing. A must stop. Hand pained. You can watch the ladies paint. So amazing and very charming. You can grab a bite or drink too. I wanted to buy everything in the store.

Great marketing that redirections customer from genuine local handcraft businesses but not the same and it lack the character. It feels like we are just buying products branded as Portuguese somewhere else rather than having the genuine local experience. The food at the cafe is not typical local nor national. We must be careful not to take an object without defect or not consistent with others from the same line. Limited payment options. We felt that something was not right and we did further research to find that real genuine local producers and shops were very close. We felt tricked and disappointed. Should have researched before

Beautiful. Shop both inside and out with the garden area. And the store itself without the display and the hand made Portugese pottery.

Such a beautiful story behind this stunning store. Owned by two sisters for over 59 years! They were painting whilst we were shopping. Some stunning pieces all signed and dated on the bottom. We spent at least 40 mins looking around. Fantastic customer service

On the road from Lagos to Sagres. A little local color. The whole business is for sale.

Lovely handmade pottery. Not expensive considering the designs. Also ate at the connected cafe called Bar Bacchus. We got there early so just got the carrot bread, oj, and coffee. Carrot bread really good. Moist and icing had orange zest. Oj was fresh squeezed. Nice to sit at the tabs with the pottery design. Nice place to had a bite.

Absolutely beautiful. Probably the highlight of our trip through Portugal. Everything is handmade, everything is beautiful, family run and the garden cafe is great. If you want a fantastic souvenir from trip and a tasty meal I highly recommend stopping by.
