"Blue, white & terracotta Mention 'Greek Islands' and one instinctively thinks of Santorini or Crete. But there are literally thousands of other islands scattered between Greece , Turkey and North Africa. The smaller ones like Poros (above) are just as charming. I don't know what it is but I just love these scenes of blue skies, blue sea and white buildings with terracotta roofs. Though it may look crowded, I still get a sense of peacefulness and serenity. Life here moves just that little bit slower :)"

This is a perfect island to have a good relaxing time with family or friends. This place is so amazing and the location is unbelievable. The little town of Poros is very compact and with a lot of historical past. It has a very nice marina and you can see all the boats that are arriving or leaving. A plenty of choices of restaurants with all tipe of food from traditional to sushi. This island is a very good choice for an unforgettable vacation.

I’ve been in Poros for 3 days and will be staying one more – it’s been a great experience overall. The atmosphere is lovely, calm, and perfect if you're looking to relax and unwind. The island is quite small, so if you stay in the center, you really won’t need any transport. We booked a place a bit farther out, so I rented a quad for 30 euro per day, which was a fun way to get around. Prices can be a bit on the higher side, but the peaceful vibe and beautiful surroundings definitely make up for it. Highly recommend for a chill and quiet getaway.

Poros, a charming island in Greece, is a picturesque destination that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and Greek island charm. My visit to Poros was an unforgettable experience that left me longing to return. The island's beauty is immediately apparent as you approach by ferry, with the sight of the traditional white and blue houses set against the lush green hills and the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. The architecture of Poros, with its neoclassical buildings and narrow, winding streets, exudes a sense of timeless elegance. One of the most delightful aspects of Poros is its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The locals are welcoming and warm, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The waterfront is lined with cafes and tavernas where you can enjoy delicious Greek cuisine and fresh seafood while taking in the stunning sea views. Poros is rich in history, with several significant sites like the Temple of Poseidon and the Archaeological Museum offering insights into the island's past. Exploring these sites adds a depth of cultural and historical understanding to your visit. The island's natural landscape is equally impressive, with beautiful beaches like Love Bay and Askeli Beach offering crystal-clear waters and peaceful settings for swimming and sunbathing. The pine forests and scenic paths are perfect for hiking and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding area. In addition, Poros is close to other attractions in the Saronic Gulf, making it an excellent base for exploring nearby islands and the Peloponnese coast. In conclusion, Poros is a captivating island that combines natural beauty, historical richness, and a serene, welcoming atmosphere. It's an ideal destination for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a picturesque Greek island setting.

Have visited Poros twice now and it’s definitely one of our favourite Greek islands. Very picturesque lovely small Sandy bays and coves, clear seas. Very welcoming locals and lots of good restaurants and bars. We hired bicycles and easily explored lovely beaches and local scenery. Love the climb to the clock tower and views across the island. Easy to reach by fast ferry from Athens and you can easily visit Hydra and Spetses too. Absolutely love Poros.

Beautiful little island, green and surrounded clear blue waters. It's less popular than many other Greek islands which is part of its charm. However things to do is very limited and beaches are small.
