Port Douglas Motel

Had such a nice stay at Port Douglas Motel. My room was so clean and comfortable. Jenny was also so lovely and accommodating, including assisting me with a last minute extension on my stay. The location is ideal too as you’re right beside the Main Street of Port Douglas. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Staff are fab and so are the retro rooms. Thanks guys ☺️

An excellent stay! The Port Douglas Motel is in a perfect location, just a short walk away from the main hub in town, and also easily walkable to the marina. I was so impressed with the spacious room, which had a gorgeously unique character that matched the motel’s quirky tropical vibe. I loved it! The room was really well kitted out, with plenty of amenities - I could’ve easily stayed a lot longer than the four nights I booked for. It was a bonus to have a private outdoor area to hang out towels/swimwear, and the motel-provided beach towel was appreciated. Not only were the facilities great (the saltwater pool was stunning, and I was lucky enough to have a room next to it!), the staff were also amazing. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, and keen to give me tips on the local area. I am so happy that I found this underrated gem of a place in Port Douglas (for a decent price as well) - thank you so so much :)

What a great location!! Large rooms, clean, friendly and helpful staff who loaned us beach towels for our reef snorkeling trip. We liked the funky furnishings and decorations. The outdoor dining area was useful at times for having takeout when we couldn’t get a dining reservation.

If like me you don’t want to stay in a generic hotel room that could be anywhere in the world, you will love this unique motel. Has the vibe of a 1950s Hollywood beach movie setting, with large bright rooms, colorful decor, solid and comfortable furnishings. The well appointed poolside kitchen and barbecue, as well as the laundry, makes this a great stop on a long holiday. The folks that run the place are super friendly and helpful; we felt very welcome.

Very cute room! Central to town and thus walkable everywhere. The room has a sink, fridge and microwave. There's also a camp kitchen and laundry. Lovely place to a stay for a few days.

This hotel is delightful, spacious and vibrantly decorated retro style. As well as a kitchenette in the room, there is a communal kitchen and a pool area where you can relax. Friendly staff and very easy walking distance to the harbour and town centre.

We couldn't have asked for better place to stay in Port Douglas. We were there for a wedding and stayed at the motel for about a week. The location is perfect and the pool area/kitchen was so helpful and provided much needed peace in between festivities. The room was lovely.

Cute and colourful motel in prime location for a good price! Short walks to the main street with all the shops and bars or to the beach. The room was clean and spacious and I loved the quirky touch on the furniture. Our room came with a luggage rack each, TV and sofa, small kitchenette with kettle, toaster, etc and ensuite bathroom. There’s also a common area by the pool with another kitchen and laundry facilities. Reception was super friendly and very helpful! We enjoyed our stay and would love to be back!

Ms. L. and I recently spent 3 nights here and found it to be a perfect place to explore Port Douglas and vicinity. The staff were flexible, helpful, and quite knowledgeable. Their recommendations for where to eat and what to see were bang on, and they booked our reef snorkeling and rainforest tours for us with no problems - - all in all we had a fantastic time in Port Douglas, and doing so was much easier because of the Port Douglas Motel. The room itself was airy, up to date, quite clean, and nicely quiet at night. With the fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle in our room, we were able to handle our own breakfast and lunch, and using their laundry facilities was also handy. When we return to Port Douglas, we won't consider staying anywhere else.

Recently spent 2 nights here while visiting the Daintree Rainforest. The motel is conveniently located and there was ample parking. We just got off from a liveaboard trip and the spacious rooms felt like a really luxury after spending many nights in a small cabin. The staff were very friendly and the check-in and check-out process was really quick and hassle free. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.
