Port Douglas Motel

Loved the place, excellent location, perfectly situated to town centre and 4mile beach. Only stayed for a day and half and wished it could have been longer... staff (Lillian and Jenny) were very friendly, enjoyed my chats with them). The tropical theme in the rooms are fantastic. Its different! The world/people are dull enough in too many places!|I have to agree that the wifi signal is shaky, i stayed tucked away in a corner in room 6. Maybe that is the reason. |Now i am in the cold in Germany and i wished i could be back in PD even if its raining!

We had a beautiful stay here. The staff, especially Jenny, were absolutely lovely. Beds were comfortable and clean, with a very cool retro vibe. It was quiet and we had a great sleep. It’s right in the heart of Port Douglas - walking distance from the shopping centre and Marina. The pool, laundry and outside kitchen were incredible, completely decked out, we were very impressed. 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to stay again!!

We stayed here in October of 2018 and absolutely loved it. Good walking location to restaurants and shops. This time we found the WiFi was sporadic and hard to connect. Last time we only stayed one night, this time we stayed two nights and were going to do some cooking there ax there was a stove and grill by the pool. However, there were no cooking items to use, pots, pans or utensils. So unless you are bringing your own, no outdoor cooking. It’s still an adorable place.

Fabulous good-value accommodation, neat and comfortable rooms with all the essentials, easily accessible, short walk to town centre. Good water pressure in the showers:) Jenny the Manager is charming and full of helpful information. Highly recommended.

The staff are so friendly, and the rooms are so clean with great amenities. We are travelling the east coast and this motel was the best we have been on the whole way up! It’s also in a perfect location right opposite 4 mile beach and a short walk from all the shops. Definitely recommend!

Coming from Indiana, we loved our time here and how easy it was to get around Port Douglas! We really appreciated the first class hospitality as well as the cleanliness of the room. We cannot wait to plan our next trip to the area to stay with this place yet again!

So glad we stayed here - what a gem! We've driven past a few times and I've always wanted to stay here - so retro. We stayed in room 20 - it was lovely and bright with a brilliant yellow sofa! Loved the look! The fan and aircon were on when we entered - which was great as it was a super hot day when we arrived. The bed was comfy and they had a blanket in the cupboard. Quite a big fridge for a two person room and it had a working freezer! Bonus! Bright and cheerful continues on with the plates and utensils. I also used the pool while my partner watched the footy nearby - it was clean and enough deck chairs. There is also an awesome entertainment area there with facilities for a bbq etc. Awesome location - quiet and peaceful and the lady at reception was super friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We are so glad we stayed here. Bernie and Jenny made helpful suggestions for things to do and transportation that worked out perfectly. The location of the Motel is close to everything on the wharf and 4 mile beach. The charming retro room was spotless and the pool was refreshing after a long day of travel. We were so glad we read the reviews on TA and stayed here.

Ms. L. and I recently spent 3 nights here and found it to be a perfect place to explore Port Douglas and vicinity. The staff were flexible, helpful, and quite knowledgeable. Their recommendations for where to eat and what to see were bang on, and they booked our reef snorkeling and rainforest tours for us with no problems - - all in all we had a fantastic time in Port Douglas, and doing so was much easier because of the Port Douglas Motel. The room itself was airy, up to date, quite clean, and nicely quiet at night. With the fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle in our room, we were able to handle our own breakfast and lunch, and using their laundry facilities was also handy. When we return to Port Douglas, we won't consider staying anywhere else.

Recently spent 2 nights here while visiting the Daintree Rainforest. The motel is conveniently located and there was ample parking. We just got off from a liveaboard trip and the spacious rooms felt like a really luxury after spending many nights in a small cabin. The staff were very friendly and the check-in and check-out process was really quick and hassle free. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.
