The Yachty, Port Douglas Yacht Club (PDYC)

Best meal I’ve had in Port Douglas. Amazing setting to watch the sun down and the food is exceptional. We shared the beef cheeks and seafood fricassee and both were stunning. Followed it up with a perfect 10 banana fritters. Our only regret was finding this place on the last night instead of the first. This place is a must visit!

Wednesday afternoon sails at the PDYC is fast becoming one of my favourite things to do in Port Douglas!! It doesn’t get much better than a free sunset sail (due to the generosity of the yacht club members) where you can chat to travellers, locals, and of course the skipper. Lots of stories to be told! And the beautiful sunset on the way home is absolutely stunning! Grabbing a drink and meal after at the club is a great way to end the night….the food has been spot-on… plus the staff are super friendly and helpful! A very welcoming and down-to-earth place :) I can’t recommend enough!!!!

My family (6 adults + 1 infant) had dinner there tonight. The food was amazing. I had barramundi and it was one of the best i have eaten. Other family members had beef cheeks, burgers and the roast dinner and we all gave the meal double thumbs up. My grandchild had an accident there tonight. John and the guests were very helpful with medical assistance and arranging medical help. John was especially helpful. Thank you all.

The Yachty is a great little hidden gem. It has great views of the estuary and marina and is in a quiet location with plenty of parking. The tables are well set-out with stunning views and the atmosphere friendly and inviting. The food is great bang-for-buck, with a diverse seafood menu. The crocodile fritters were very tasty and worth a try. I can also recommend the soft-shell crab sliders. My wife and I enjoyed a number of menu items as well as desserts and thoroughly enjoyed everything. We had a great time there and will definitely be dropping back in when we next visit Port Douglas.

Great relaxed vibe in a fabulous setting on the river. Food was fantastic as were the bubbles and beer, an excellent place to relax and watch the boats go by.

Best spot in Port Douglas, directly on the water, far from the car noise on the road, which gives it a peaceful vibe ! Thanks to the amazing staff - so friendly and welcoming. Plus, the beam scooter parking hub is super convenient and easy to access. Highly recommend visiting the Yachty !

Hands down the best venue in Port Douglas ! One of the best venues in Australia, in my opinion! Phenomenal location, scenic and relaxing. Phenomenal food!! Absolutely top notch!

A really friendly club excellent vibe, friendly staff and wonderful menu. Check out WAGS for a wonderful Wednesday afternoon experience then back to the club house for dinner & drinks. I tried the crocodile curry washed down with a cold beer ! Delicious.
