Fantastic experience! Lovely weather just as positive add on 😊 Today museum was free of charge. Nice. Lucky us. I would expect more descriptions in English. Would only recommend to visit the place, including all vessels by the quay.

Small museum with many ship models and city history. You will visit real ships and imagine life on board (engine room as well as where sailors sleep and live). Museum tickets and ship tour tickets are two different types of tickets. I visited the museum in the morning and they said to visit the ship you have to come back in the afternoon after 2pm. Hope this information is useful for everyone to arrange their time reasonably!

Interesting timeline history of the ancient port of Dunkerque. French style "sense de la visite" layout (you're ushered along a predetermined route rather than being at liberty to wander). Reasonable amount of multilingual interpretation but significant gaps might hinder the understanding of those without any French understanding (or a translator on their phone). Lots of excellent models, plans and photos over three floors. Took us about 3 hours.

You pay 8€ for adults and you can visit 3 boats, Duchess Anne included, and 3 étages of the museum building. It was quite interesting to pick up on the board and to see the real boat which was given as a part of reparations after WWll from Germany to France. However the museum is a bit boring. Yes, it's absolutely renovated with an interesting design inside, but not enough actions or at least the possibility to take a guide excursion. So you are just walking from stand to stand, from ship to ship and that's all.

Very nice museum full of Dunkirk and naval history.

Really interesting museum of Dunkirk maritime history and more. I particularly liked the three boats you can visit outside. To be honest, if you have to choose between the maritime or the operation Dynamo museum, the maritime museum wins hands down, more eclectic, bigger collection and obviously covers many more topics

Great museum and tells the story of Dunkirk over the centuries very well. Well worth your time and more engaging than the Operation Dynamo museum (alas). Note you can get a duo ticket for both museums that saves you on some admission fare but that pass only seems available here as the sign wasn’t readily visible at the ticket counter at the Operation Dynamo museum.

There are many things to see. Unfortunately there is very limited information in English. Very disappointed with this. There were also videos of Port History at different places, still in French. Overall the museum is nice, but the language makes it hesitant to recommend. Being an international place this problem should be taken into consideration.
