We ended up staying 5 months in the Annex! The monthly prices during the off season are way overpriced. During the on season even way more overpriced. If staying here again I would definitely choose the Marina side instead of the annex. I would say any place not backed up to the Motel 6 would be great! Motel 6 couldn't get a handle on the bridge workers who were staying on a basis. They enjoyed loud parties, get togethers, grills on the balcony and you ended up with a yard full of cigarette butts, leftover food containers and food! Regular visitors were the same. There really is no privacy between your RV and the motel or your neighbors for that matter. Our neighbor was a spot & parking hog, they have been there for a few years not (not sure how that works when the limit is supposed to be 6 months). Not all spots have 50 amp so I am sure the spots are limited. If I had to stay again it would be on the east side of the annex. When it rains it gets very muddy and potholes and it becomes difficult to park your vehicle without causing ruts and they become deep ruts because there is no where else to park. Not sure when they last filled the pot holes. It seems like the codes are handed out freely by previous guests as they have to change the bathroom codes often. The laundry room hasn't changed in over 6 years, same machines and same dirtiness. Expensive to wash and dry. The internet has not improved at all it is almost non existent. The channels you get are very limited in the annex and you do not get what is advertised. So in the 6 years since we last stayed long term the prices have pretty doubled and the service has not improved to match the services. The views in the Marina are outstanding the annex still leaves a lot to be desired. You things with the amount they charge they could have greatly improved the annex! Hannah has some great customer service skills!

Mr.Bones here it's time for my review port of Newport the park was very lovely to walk around in during the day and night just beware it can be a little bit dark especially in the parking lot and sidewalk so bring a light or keep your distance from other people at night that's all Mr bones out.

Google
The camp hosts are the WORST AND RUDIEST I have ever dealt with. I may have not seen (the absence of) posted directional signs or may have pulled in minutes to 5, OF WHICH THEY WERE ALREADY CLOSED BEFORE CLOSING ACCORDING TO MY CLOCK but I didn't even have power in my sight. Park issue due to outdated hookups. This makes me go to the HOST sight to ask for assistance. For almost 100 a night with veteran discount, this should be much better service. Even a host that acknowledges you would be better.

Google
Clean park, right on the marina. Easy to access. Desk people friendly. Paved spots with full hook ups. Great for fishermen. Activities within walking distance, and shuttle to downtown available. Quiet park.

Google
Great RV park right off 101. The park has very nice facilities, the spots are nice and long, and everything is very well maintained. It’s located right in the marina where you can catch great sunsets or walk over to Rogue Brewing Company. Only about 20 minutes from Devil’s Punchbowl and some great lighthouses. Highly recommend!

Google
Staff was so helpful and our spot was perfect for our kiddos we had an amazing view of the ocean and bridge! We could walk to the boardwalk and right by the ocean! We will come back her for sure! They also have bathrooms, showers and laundry. Which are all really nice and maintained. It felt safe and was so nice to be so close to all of our favorite spots!!!

Google
This park is one of the most efficiently run properties that I have stayed at in 30 years of RVing. The front desk personnel are very personable, greeting you with a smile despite being very busy running such a large operation. Clay, the camp host can be seen throughout the day riding through the park, keeping things running smoothly.

Yelp
Accessible, fhu, clean laundry room (everything worked!) and shower/restroom, staff was accessible for questions and very friendly. Little bits of grass between sites but mostly pavement & gravel. Not a pretty rv park but clean, quiet, safe.

Yelp
Oh my goodness... we drove up to what they referred to as the older side of the RV park, but still nice and thought there is no way this can be the place. Unfortunately it was a dump. Across the street is the parking lot of the marina, not a gem but relative to the older side it was doable. Don't t stay here. Even in the nicest spots they are very close to each other. Hard to believe people pay to stay here a month and more.

Yelp
Really nice RV park - close to many activities..... This is our second visit. Newport Marina and RV Park is a good jumping off point; from here to can easily walk to the Aquarium. If you're into cycling, there are bike trails right here that will take you out to the beach. The beach? Yes and if you like fishing or surfing, you're within walking distance. Canoeing, kayaking, boating, right here! For eats and libations, walk over to Rogue's Sunset bar or down a ways to Rogue's brew and food (restaurant). The sites are level, the views are lovely and you can hear the seals talking to each other. If you need working cable for your television or you require reliable Wi-Fi - this place may not be for you. Both times that we've been here, we've lacked both of these services. Thankfully we're happy to disconnect for a few days.

Yelp
I've been coming here once or twice a year for a while. I like to take pictures of the marina, vessels, the bridge and whatever else I come across that looks interesting. Some of these boats are ocean going and can come from great distances. Over the years I've chatted with some very interesting folks who sailed here from far off places. There's a brewpub at the far end that's good for a beer and a burger. Outside seating so you can relax and look out on the water while you enjoy your meal. A lot of fishing charters run out of here and if I ever have the time perhaps I will do that one day. It's usually a day trip for me although I did stay over this time in the hopes of getting a good bridge and sunset picture. No luck :(

Yelp
Worst campground ever unless you like twisting your ankles on gravel rock that's too big to walk on all over the park, or picking thorns from the grass area out of your dogs paws every time they have to pee. No picnic benches either so you eat inside or bring your own outdoor table. (I thought those were standard for a campground???) Plus for being an rv park the spots are close together with bigger boulder rocks diving it so BE PREPARED to damage your truck trying to maneuver your trailer in place . No Wifi even with "limited" there was none and no cable like it was soposed to have (they did give us a tiny discount for the cable not working but an Entire refund would be more appropriate for how EPICLY BAD of an experience this was and false advertising!! But no). Only good thing I can say about this place is there is a paved sidewalk and you can walk to the Aquarium.....that's it. Save your money, camp anywhere else! Unless you fully expect this kind of environment but I don't think you would want to pay for it, just stay under the bridge.

Yelp
Well anything goes in this park. Rules apparently make Zero difference here. The park is over run with tents, people sleeping in cars and FILTHY/OLD equipment! As long as you have a pulse and cash your welcome. They can refuse anyone service based on their rigs upon check in but clearly if the credit card goes through there is no one monitoring the incoming equipment. And the children go unmonitored by parents so watch where you drive because the kids run amuck! It's a free for all! It is safer and cleaner in a Walmart parking lot. Oh and I did not hit on the WiFi or the lack there of....I have yet to get on.

Reno G.

Yelp
Extremely loud party rv park. It's been extremely loud all day and all through the evening....10pm quiet rule is a joke. Come here if you plan on getting drunk and yelling all night...or engaging in stereo wars. There are even broken bottles in the streets of the rv park. Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed

Yelp
Ask is they are putting you in the overflow area. If you are, then find another place. It's a dump and the worst place we've stayed during our six week trip. The main RV park is on concrete and the overflow on dirt, no slab, s and very difficult to level. Also there are many long-term renters in trashed RVs, overgrown grass, noisy, and just poor conditions. The bathroom is clean. The overflow is across from Rogue Brewery and they were almost constantly crashing glass. It was loud. Also it's by the main road to the marina, aquarium museum and very loud all times of day and night. Nothing here to recommend except it's a place to park. Very disappointed as I made reservations in early April and expected better for the price. If you do camp in their overflow, make sure you have a white noise maker to drown out the noises. I am sure I had a place in the main park because my price was reduced significantly from when I booked it to when I actually paid. That's BS.

Yelp
We had reservations for 23 and 24 but had to cancel due to illness gave them 2 days notice but not good enough they want 72 hrs so charged us 50 bucks ridiculous I can see a charge but 50 bucks no way. We have a Good Sam card for discount but could not use it because we were in the annex area not the main area another ridiculous and unfair. The reason I gave them 1 star the staff was friendly we will not rv there Maggie

Yelp
Arrived for a 3 night stay in an annex rv site, which is an uneven dirt lot with full hook-ups backed up to the Motel 6. Not happy with this, my husband walked to the office to see about a dry camping site in the paved lot of the marina and the young lady was able to get us a site in the main rv park with a large pull-thru fhu site for the same nights. Beautiful views of the Yaquina Bay Bridge and marina. Friendly staff, very clean laundry, paved site with grass between.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Stayed at the marina and RV park for 2 days. "Dry camping" is $31 a night and is a large paved parking lot with no grass or tables nearby. The full RV hookups are $70+. You get a little key card for laundry and showers/restrooms. Showers are $1.50 for 5 minutes and only take quarters. Close to Rogue distillery and brewery. Over the bridge is downtown Newport, about 2 miles. Overall a great little area to check out and a beautiful view. They also had security that would make routine patrols which was very comforting and security cameras everywhere.

Yelp
We pulled in after a long drive to stay for a night before moving on. We had some electrical issues. Staff was very helpful at check-in and gave us information on good mobile repairmen and local shops near for our electrical needs. Luckily, we were able to fix it ourselves rather quickly. We enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the sun go down, then strolled down to the marina. We got lucky and reserved the last marina view spot. The location couldn't be better for staying a couple nights for crabbing or to rest a spell which is what we needed. Very beautiful view of the bridge, boats, and marina. It was also very convenient to not cook that evening. The brewery is within walking distance! We didn't use amenities due to our short stay so I can only comment on staff, and location. It was spendy for a RV park, but an experience we enjoyed.

Yelp
We camped at this RV park because we were launching a boat. The only complaint is that we picked a location right next to the boat ramp. Though it didn't affect our sleep and we still had a great time, during the day there were loud activities. Boaters running their engines to clear out their ports and running their pumps to clear out their bildge. Typical stuff, however we didn't get how close we'd be when we booked our reservation. No wonder we were the only ones on that row. That being said it was still super convenient. We were able to walk to the rogue brewery and have dinner and beer. The rogue brewery closes at 9 PM so don't dillydally. There's also a rogue spirits house that's right at the fish cleaning stations. Still a wonderful place, we would just pick a better spot next time.

Yelp
The pictures on here do not do this place justice. Not much to do in town, however a great place to park and rest for a bit while chartering a boat to crab or fish or perhaps take a bike/walk to the Rogue brewery or the aquarium.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Nice clean park near the water. Great views of the bridge. Perfect access for biking trails. Adjacent to Rogue Brewing Headquarters. Don't miss heading into the little town of Newport on the Harbor, just across the bay from the park. You have to go over the bridge to get there!

Yelp
Breathtaking port views....first time booking this campground at the same day when we decided to moving site to site ... warm and polite service from their office desk, this campground with full hook-up, free WiFi, sewers .. cables ... my husband and I very enjoyed all the facilities and surroundings, grocery store and aquarium with quite convenient distance... definitely will come back here again!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice place to stay. Sites are tight but adequate. Close to Nye Beach and Historic Bayfront. Great strolling around by the water. WiFi ok. Cable and satellite tv.
google avatar

Yelp
Stunning location! Clean, well-maintained park in a terrific area, close to Rogue Brewery locations & Newport shops. Would stay here for months just to wake up to the harbor sights and sounds of the seals, birds & boats so you know you're on vacation!

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation but needed a place to stay for 4 nights on our way up the coast. In the high season I expected we'd have to dry camp without hookups for our motor home, but I didn't expect to pay $30.05 a night, is steep for no hookups in a gravel lot next to a construction lay-down area. It was reasonably quiet at night with the occasional vehicle racing down the boat launch parking lot next to the overflow camping where we were. There is a good dump site at no charge and potable water, too. But the showers are a hike and bring your quarters because it's coin operated. No discernible WiFi either. All in all, not worth thirty bucks a night for dry camping.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
This is only getting 3 stars because of location and customer service. We stayed in the Annex since the rv park itself was full. The annex is basically just a grassy lot but does have full hookups. There were definitely some grungy looking rv's here that looked like they may have been semi permanent. Its definitely a fishing town so maybe thats why? The sewer hook up in the spot next to us (so basically in our spot) did not have a lid on it and you could see and smell the pipe full of sewage. We laid a random piece of wood over it so we did not have to look at it the whole time. Our spot in the Annex literally backed up to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and we were able to walk over with our 1 year old and spend some time there. We were also within walking distance to the Rogue Brewery, so we also spent a good amount of time there. Honestly, I probably would rather have dry camped in the parking lot than staying in the Annex as I did not feel 100% safe there. A little eery. Maybe I'm just paranoid. The office staff were great and accommodating.

Yelp
Great park! Easy pull through, flat spaces. Best thing is it is on the same property as the Rogue Brewing. OMG! I would seriously lose my husband to that place three or four times a week. We left with a few cases of Rogue products. We had intended to spend one month here, but ended up staying two. My husband would've parked indefinitely I'm sure. Great park. The people in the office are maybe slightly standoff-ish? But we found that much of the customer service in this area was like this. So maybe it's just how it is. Absolutely GORGEOUS sunsets.

Yelp
The RV park is located right below the lovely Yaquina Bridge and adjacent to the marina. A 5-mile bike path, paved and well marked leaves the marina. There is a shuttle bus that will take you into town, Nye Beach, the lighthouses and everything you need and you get a coupon to ride for free! Clay Moore is the camp host and never had we had such a welcome and a fabulous source of information. We took notes and followed his advice and now love Newport. He is singularly a 1-man ambassador for this lovely, coastal fishing village. The RV park itself has lovely paved sites, each with 30/50, cable, dump and water. We are separated from our neighbors by trees. The showers and laundry were spotless and easily accessible and coded. Free and working WiFI (no code). We extended our stay so we could complete all the things Clay laid out for us! Don't miss this place. It is not a Passport America but we did get our SAM discount. The office was so sweet, interested and helpful. We just love this place!

Yelp
What a great location and the hospitality is top notch! Upon our arrival, the camp host (Clay) visited with us and gave us a run down of the area's "must see's/do's". He was right on with all of his recommendations, from restaurants to lighthouses to aquariums, etc. He is a built-in tour guide and a wealth of information. What a bonus! I have to admit, when I first looked at their website I was sceptical because it looked like a parking lot. However, it is clean, manueverable, quiet and beautiful. We would definitely return if our plans take us back to Newport. Mike & Julie Ririe, Idaho

Yelp
Just your basic parking lot with hookups as far as RV parks go. But the location is perfect. Watch the sun go down framed by the Newport bridge. Great view out to sea, over the boats in the marina. Seagulls and those indecisive sea lions (or, or, or) make for a great nautical feeling while still on dry land. As of May 2, '10, the map marker shows up in the wrong spot.

Yelp
A fee for dogs now!! We have been coming to this RV park for 4 yrs and it used to be a nice place. They over charged us for a spot in the past, but we told them their mistake and they refunded the money. This trip, they over charged us for the spot again, and said we were mistaken. We didn't have a bridge view, or a pull through but they still charged us the higher amount. We stayed here 8 days. On the 2nd day they called us and said "we notice you have dogs, and there is a $10 fee pr dog now". I told them to kiss my azz, it's not on the website, and wasn't told about this stupid fee when we checked in. It's BS that a RV parks charges for dogs in your RV. This place has just become another one of those sickening places that wants more, and more money. We will never stay here again. You want to punish responsible pet owner for what low life's you let in your RV park. Kiss my ass.
google avatar

Grace N.

Yelp
Staff are super friendly and nice to talk to. They are welcoming of all types of visitors. We stayed for 3 days and two nights here. Lots of great biking and walking trails nearby and close to the highway. We stayed in the dry camping area and were able to take advantage of the free wifi; connection was great!
google avatar

Elisabeth R.

Yelp
I cannot believe this place has 4 stars?? It's a dump!! Parking lot of Rv's lined up one right after the other with a beautiful view of the 4 story Motel 6. I have no idea what people are rating this park on. Yesterday for $10 bucks more a night we stayed at a gorgeous place in woods with a view of the ocean we could walk to. Ugh! As if this place is not bad enough, we are stuck right next door to the live in RV that looks like it's been here since the Cold War. To top it off you have the lovely sounds of the freeway. Keep on the 101 for much better options. This place deserves a "zero", not even one star....

Kathy M.

Yelp
They are deceptive! We arrived for our two day stay to find our site in the dirt parking of a motel 6. Holes and sites were crap! Beware pictures are lies! It looked so bad that we dry camped for the night in a parking lot and canceled the next day! This was not right they should have told us the conditions! Will not ever come back!

Larry A.

Yelp
Best service we have ever had. Great, friendly check in. A guide that showed us around the town of Newport and much of it's history. Best is the list of terrific restaurants in the area.
google avatar

Sue V.

Yelp
Excellent stop! Wi/Fi is spotty but all else is fantastic. Friendly, clean, walkable to Rogue brewery for dinner. We would definitely stop again!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
This was a great place for what we were here for. The location is awesome and we were able to dock our boat walking distance from the camper. The showers were clean, but it would be nice if there was more than one. The store could have a much better selection of sundries, but not too bad.
google avatar

Vonnie M.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years, no more! There prices are high. Got stuck in overflow. No shower code. Other showers cold and cost 1.50. No structured parking. So got blocked in by some wholes because they wanted our spot. Dog fee. Really every rv has a dog. Kiss my ass. Done with port of Newport. Giving my money to better places. I know they don't care it shows.

Lori P.

Yelp
Very nice place to stay! We sort of wandered in with our RV while in the area for a few days, and ended up staying for 4 nights. Like a few other reviews mention, at first glance it looks like your typical parking lot scenario - but it is well designed and makes for a very nice stay whether you have a small travel trailer like us - or a big rig. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Page S.

Yelp
Beautiful view, marina, bridge & surrounds. Very friendly staff. Many attractions nearby. Paved spots (level) and is quiet. Tables at each space, plenty of room for the yard, but not extra large. Dog walk is along the bike/walking path. It would be five star if they add an enclosed dog area so the little guys can stretch their legs off leash. We will keep it on our list to visit again.

Doug T.

Yelp
Good location and a level site, can't think of anything else positive. Reminds me of a Wal-Mart parking lot with hook-ups. The "amenities" include Wi-Fi and Cable TV. Wifi is weak or non existent. They gave me a list for the Cable TV, showed 25 channels, got 11, only 5 clear ones! Almost forgot--picnic table?? Bring your own. And this was the "Premium" site at over $40 per nite.
