Such a wonderful place to stay on our visit to Malta , the accommodation was really comfortable really clean and the breakfasts were lovely.Charmaine who served us breakfast was a delight and really helpful. It was a little difficult to get clarity on how I would access the accommodation out of hours on arrival, but with a little patience we overcame that difficulty and I would definitely recommend this lovely guest house and return again.

Port View is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in anywhere. The room felt as though I was the first guest. A comfortable bed, pillows and linens, very spacious, plus well supplied with towels and toiletries. I was very pleased with the welcoming bottles of wine and water. The location is about a block off the main street of Marsaxlokk, making it much quieter. My room had a limited port view. The breakfast room is lovely with a grand port view. I did not have breakfast, I had to check out early before service began. I never met or spoke to any employees, but I do believe they were on the property. My only negative - the outside lighting was bad. The steep stairs were a bit scary at 5 AM in the dark. I recommend this place and would definitely stay there again.

I want to leave a review even though I didn't stay here. We had a family trip booked here for 6 nights. Unfortunately my child became very unwell, and even though we didn't have the right to cancel Portview guest house gave us a full refund. Thank you so much. We will definitely book again once we are able to .

I booked through booking.com and the whole process was flawless. The host Andrew was extremely responsive to queries on the platform. When it got time to check in, it was a little unconventional to ring the buzzer on the intercom, be buzzed in and see everything with my name on the desk. It would appear the front desk is manned mainly in the mornings. When you check out just drop off the key cards in the drop bin at the front desk. ||We had room 34 which was the quadruple room even though there were only two of us but the room is ideal for families. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean almost spotless. The bathroom was a shower cubicle and slightly on the smaller side. There was also nice touch from our hosts in which I had got a bottle of water and Maltese wine! ||Breakfast was served on the fourth floor terrace and you had nice views of the harbour. The breakfast was fine being a spread of boiled eggs, baked beans, pastizzi, cold cuts and cheese. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. ||If you’re renting driving or renting car there is street parking but there is a big parking area near the football ground on the edge of town about a five minute walk away. I parked there and just brought car to the guesthouse entrance to load and unload. ||For me, it was definitely to best place to stay in Marsaxlokk. My stay was flawless and comfortable with only little bit of feedback would be is to perhaps get the windows washed on the terrace as it does mar the view a little bit. Would definitely come back here when I visit Malta again.

We stayed here for five nights. It's a family run guest house. Andrew, the son, on arrival was great, offering to take our bags up to our room even though he had his hands full. He was very welcoming and explained the layout of the hotel and answered all the questions we had. ||||Our double-room we had on the 4th floor was spacious, had efficient air-con, a fridge, a safe and a decent shower. Large comfy bed. Plenty of wardrobe space. Complimentary bottle of white wine and water on arrival.||||Our room was adjacent to the breakfast area, which forms two parts; seating inside and also the conservatory which with its sliding openinig doors provides a view over the harbour.||||The inclusive continental breakfast is good with a choice of cereals, yoghurt, breads, pastries and teas/coffees. The facilities for making hot drinks, bottled water, use of toaster and microwave are available for all guests to use at anytime.||||The location of the guesthouse is excellent. There's parking for your hire car on the street outside and the walk down to Marsaxlokk habour front is a five minute walk. At the end of the street is a bus stop for buses for Valletta and the Airport. Buses are between every 20-30 minutes and a 2 Euro ticket single gives you two hours of travel including connections.||||A great place to stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on a future visit.

We arrived at the bnb around 20:30, we had booked two nights at Port View based on reviews and guide book recommendations! |We booked last available room, as this trip was a last minute decision! |As we arrived late our room key had been left for us to collect at reception after being buzzed in, all this was super easy. |Our room happened to be a quadruple room, so we had plenty of space and a pleasant little balcony with a partial view of the harbour, although front facing view was just of derelict ground. |The room was excellent, absolutely pristinely clean, bathroom was great, nice shower and great water pressure.|Complimentary water & wine in the room were a lovely thought, and much appreciated! Breakfast was basic but decent, breads, packaged pastries, cereal and cold cuts etc served on the 4th floor covered terrace with pretty view! |We were happy with the amount of time we chose to stay in Marsaxlokk as there isn’t a great deal to do in this particular area, (we were on a multi-stop trip) so we feel that staying over the weekend was definitely a good decision, and we were very happy with our two nights at the Port View! Thank-you!

I saw the Port View Guesthouse reviewed in The Guardian and booked it on the back of their recommendation, reviews here and the fact that there were plenty of restaurants in the village likely to be open out of season in November.|The accommodation is excellent value and as you would expect, spotlessly clean. We had a family room consisting of two double beds and en-suite shower. There is a small balcony with a table and two chairs from which there is a view of the harbour and you get sun most of the day.|Breakfast is on the top floor in a dining room that overlooks the harbour. Breakfast is typical continental fayre, perfectly adequate to set you up until lunchtime and beyond.|The harbour is home to probably twenty plus restaurants, with a good dozen being open in the week in November. More open at the weekend. Everything is easily walkable.|I have no hesitation in recommending Port View and the town.
