Port View Guest House

Great place with excellent hospitality. The woman at the reception was very helpful, she let us leave our luggage early and even check in ahead of time. Special thanks to the cleaning lady for keeping everything spotless, the place was exceptionally clean. Our room was comfortable, with a large bed and a small fridge. There is a coffee machine with free coffee for guests and a lovely sea view from the rooftop terrace. The location is great, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. Highly recommend this guest house!

This place is a little gem. Its lovely here. The lady at reception is very friendly and cant do enough for you. We were on the 4th floor, large room,balcony with sea view.The room and all the building was spotless. Tea coffee provided in the room. Also a big bottle of water. The room had a free safe and a fridge and comfy beds.Bathroom with a large shower. |Breakfast was available at a reasonable price,but we ate out. It as a big kitchen on the 4th floor,were breakfast is served in a room overlooking the sea. Also they have a machine for hot drinks available free for guests up to 10pm. I would higly recommend this place. Location is great 2 mins to the sea and harbour front. Also a bakery just a few doors away. We will be returning again thats for sure.

We loved our stay at Portview! Everything was spotless, the rooms were comfortable and quiet, the bed and pillows were excellent. The management had a complimentary bottle of wine and two big bottles of water in the room for us. There was also a small fridge, safe and dehumidifier in the room. Lots of restaurants nearby and less than a block away from the lovely Marsaxlokk harbor front and a bus stop. Breakfast was included and was excellent....coffee, juice, cold cuts, fruit, toast, cereal, yogurt and fresh baked mini croissants! Breakfast was served on a scenic terrace which was also a great place for afternoon coffee or tea. We would definitely stay here again!!

Prestine accommodation 30m from the seafront. Superb breakfast area overlooking the port. Just as it says on the tin!

I guess better skip breafasts.it is a tray with bread (not great quality), a few slices of cold cuts and cheeses, cereal, yogurt, etc., delivered to the room a day earlier. pretty much the same every day. On the bright side: great service, very kind host, very helpful. Great tarrace where you can eag breakgast with port view.

Port View is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in anywhere. The room felt as though I was the first guest. A comfortable bed, pillows and linens, very spacious, plus well supplied with towels and toiletries. I was very pleased with the welcoming bottles of wine and water. The location is about a block off the main street of Marsaxlokk, making it much quieter. My room had a limited port view. The breakfast room is lovely with a grand port view. I did not have breakfast, I had to check out early before service began. I never met or spoke to any employees, but I do believe they were on the property. My only negative - the outside lighting was bad. The steep stairs were a bit scary at 5 AM in the dark. I recommend this place and would definitely stay there again.

I booked through booking.com and the whole process was flawless. The host Andrew was extremely responsive to queries on the platform. When it got time to check in, it was a little unconventional to ring the buzzer on the intercom, be buzzed in and see everything with my name on the desk. It would appear the front desk is manned mainly in the mornings. When you check out just drop off the key cards in the drop bin at the front desk. ||We had room 34 which was the quadruple room even though there were only two of us but the room is ideal for families. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean almost spotless. The bathroom was a shower cubicle and slightly on the smaller side. There was also nice touch from our hosts in which I had got a bottle of water and Maltese wine! ||Breakfast was served on the fourth floor terrace and you had nice views of the harbour. The breakfast was fine being a spread of boiled eggs, baked beans, pastizzi, cold cuts and cheese. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. ||If you’re renting driving or renting car there is street parking but there is a big parking area near the football ground on the edge of town about a five minute walk away. I parked there and just brought car to the guesthouse entrance to load and unload. ||For me, it was definitely to best place to stay in Marsaxlokk. My stay was flawless and comfortable with only little bit of feedback would be is to perhaps get the windows washed on the terrace as it does mar the view a little bit. Would definitely come back here when I visit Malta again.
