"The original building plus two newer annexes provide a stylish and rustic getaway in the heart of Mayan culture. Parrots and cobblestones blend seamlessly with modern convenience. Large by Antiguan standards, the scale is nonetheless attentive and individualized, no more so than at the spa—treat yourself to a session in the temazcal sauna, indigenous to Antigua."

We had stopped in the bar and the restaurant looked so beautiful, we decided to eat there. With no reservation, they graciously invited us in, and we got to choose our table. We had a very attentive service, Samuel, and he took great care of us throughout the night. We ordered off the "traditional" Guatemalan menu and both really enjoyed our food. What more is there to want? Everything was well done and we will be back!

From check in to check out this hotel was amazing! Shout out to Blanca at the reception desk for helping us consolidate our reservations without checking in and out after we decided to add a day. |The cleaning staff kept our room neat and tidy. The view from the pool of Fuego is incredible! |The hotel is located in a central area but its not noisy. The bed was super comfortable. Shower spacious. Fire place in the room was an added bonus! The property itself is pristine. We didnt eat at the restaurant but the drinks were on point. Would 100% stay here again if back in Antigua.

Centrally located hotel that allows you to easily explore Antigua. They also have an on site tour agency that can help coordinate excursions which is nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable and service was good overall. Only issues is that the walls are rather thin and I often heard my neighbors (and one time was awoken by a neighboring rooms alarm) and the housekeeping can be inconsistent. We were told there was nightly turn down service but I didn't see any evidence of that and one day our room didn't get cleaned at all despite us being gone for most of the day.

The overall stay was pleasant. Every staff member was attentive. Clean room, and bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The resort was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying there, if it’s your first time visiting. The overall stay was pleasant.

We spent Christmas eve and Day and it was amazing. From check-in to check out the staff was amazing. The rooms were spacious and beautiful and the pool and open courtyard area were great places to just relax and enjoy the views of the volcanos. I would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful stay. Lovely hotel just off the center of town - still convenient and more quiet than being in the middle of it all. Short walk to all the sights. Very responsive and friendly service. Room as advertised. Strong and hot shower. The pool is a nice feature to come back to after a day of walking the old streets. Highly recommend Porta Antigua.

Such a serene and beautiful location. It's like an oasis. The grounds, the rooms, the employees, everything is beautiful. The food is wonderful, everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. The view of the volcanoes is magnificent.

We just got massages here but it was one of the best massages I have ever had and very much welcomed after climbing Mount Acatenango. There is a sauna and steam room which you can access ahead of a treatment and the ammenities were great.||The hotel and restaurant also looked both beautiful and authentic and worth looking into.
