Porta Superia B & B - Bed and Breakfast

We had a fabulous time at Porta Superia. Kurt was more than warm and more than helpful to design our one day stay. We wish we were there for some more days. But now we have a reason to come back to Mechelin. Only one advise to fellow travelers. If you have big bags that you can’t lug two floors than you will have to rethink about your stay here. The rooms are nice and cosy. But the one on the third floor is a little too wild. Transparent windows to the toilet. So if privacy doesn’t matter than go for it! The breakfast was very satisfying and yummy.

What a stunning place! Great location, amazing rooms, fantastic breakfast and the best host you can imagine. Highly recommended when you're planning a trip to Mechelen!

We had a brilliant stay at Porta Superia, the whole place is gorgeous and very well thought out and Kurt and Michael were the loveliest guests full of information and suggestions and we had a great conversation one evening with Michael about the history of the building which was fascinating. The room was perfect, nice a roomy - bathroom was gorgeous! And all the amenities that one needs for a few days away. Excellent location very close to the station and a quick walk into the centre. Highly recommend and if we find ourselves back in Mechelen we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

What an amazing place! The most delicious breakfast I have had in a long time. Biological products, engineered with a twist and presented and prepared by amazing Kurt in an amazing way. Do not forget to have the home-made jam. The location has safe parking 30 meters from the door. Rooms are styled amazingly and the beds are phenomenal. Do try the shower 😉 My new place to stay when in Mechelen.

Great location and walking distance from the train station. Clean rooms and quiet!!! Kurt was very friendly, professional and accommodating. he allowed us to check in early. he provided us with a great history of Mechelen and the area. Love the shower and the natural hair & skin products (shampoo, shower gel and conditioner). I definitely stay there again!!!

In the midst of Mechelen, not far from Brussels, you find this little pearl. This is our second time staying at Porta Superia. We find the location very convenient, easy to reach and close to good restaurants and a great base to explore Mechelen from. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I particularly like the granola with fresh fruit , Greek yoghurt and maple syrup. All in all a lovely B & B. Thanks to our hosts Kurt and Michael for a lovely weekend.
