Porta Superia B & B - Bed and Breakfast

What an amazing place! The most delicious breakfast I have had in a long time. Biological products, engineered with a twist and presented and prepared by amazing Kurt in an amazing way. Do not forget to have the home-made jam. The location has safe parking 30 meters from the door. Rooms are styled amazingly and the beds are phenomenal. Do try the shower 😉 My new place to stay when in Mechelen.

We had a brilliant stay at Porta Superia, the whole place is gorgeous and very well thought out and Kurt and Michael were the loveliest guests full of information and suggestions and we had a great conversation one evening with Michael about the history of the building which was fascinating. The room was perfect, nice a roomy - bathroom was gorgeous! And all the amenities that one needs for a few days away. Excellent location very close to the station and a quick walk into the centre. Highly recommend and if we find ourselves back in Mechelen we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Great location and walking distance from the train station. Clean rooms and quiet!!! Kurt was very friendly, professional and accommodating. he allowed us to check in early. he provided us with a great history of Mechelen and the area. Love the shower and the natural hair & skin products (shampoo, shower gel and conditioner). I definitely stay there again!!!

In the midst of Mechelen, not far from Brussels, you find this little pearl. Its facade does not brag with big glass facades, but like with pearls, the beauty is well kept within the granite entrance area. Do not be mistaken, behind the door lies an endeavor in hospitality and comfort, silked in beautifully renovated and personalized rooms. Modern wall dekor in the rooms blends perfectly in with the fusion of high-tech and classic oak-tree furnishing the entrance and staircase. ||The B&B owners take pride in making your stay as exquisite as possible, offering you both great city-guidance and even helps you book/reserve dining or other experiences. They will serve you an unforgettable breakfast with home-made delicacies and food from selected buyers. You will love it!

Kurt & Michael are amazing and always very welcoming. We have stayed with them many times and will continue to stay with them in the future when visiting Belgium. The B&B and the room was a very nice experience. We enjoyed our stay. With Kurt as a host which made us a awesome breakfast every morning, the start of the day can not be better. Definitely coming back if I'm around Mechelen again!

We stayed at Porta Superia after our visit to Technopolis with our 2 sons (ages 6 & 7). Our hosts were very kind and welcoming. They gave us great suggestions for our dinner (de Vleeshalle, which was also exquisite) as well as for other (family friendly) activities. The room had all the luxuries of modern day living, whilst preserving the unique character of the house. The breakfast the day after was a true culinary experience for our entire family. Overall, I would certainly recommend this for anyone wanting to discover Mechelen!

Just outstanding! Stayed for the weekend in the most tranquil peaceful space. Wonderful hosts! Can’t do enough for you! Beautiful room, fabulous shower products. The breakfast options are amazing! The cheese is just 11/10! High quality cooked/presented with a lot of love and care!|I loved my stay and hope to visit again! Thank you for making it so special.
