Portal Plaza Suites

Close to everything in Mendoza within walking distance. Self contained suite had everything you need as well as comfy bed, hot shower and a balcony with views to the plaza across the road. Delicious breakfast with super helpful staff an Ac would definitely stay here again.

A nice, clean and modern hotel that offers bikes for traveling around the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower had constant hot water. The location is good - we were able to walk to the main attractions and restaurants. The front desk staff were also really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Mis-sold. The website we booked from said we had a balcony overlooking the park and a free bottle of wine but we got neither. Our room had no balcony, was shaded and had a view of a car park. We enquired about this with a staff member who shrugged and basically said it is what it is.|Airport pickup didn’t show up- we waited 15 minutes and arranged our own taxi. When we advised staff of this, they shrugged.|Slept poorly as there were loud noises from the pipes each night (between 3-5am).|Cleaning was generally good during stay but the bath was thick with limescale.|Laundry- we had some laundry which was done to a good standard at low cost.|Pool area- didn’t feel clean.|Breakfast was lacking- basic buffet but bread was stale and eggs were cold.|Service- minus one member who was dismissive of problems, others could be cordial.

Very good location and in a walk distance from Plaza Independência. The room was spacious and clean. It had a cooktop and a sink, with some plates, glasses and cutlery, which helped us a lot, since we were traveling with our 1-year-old baby girl. Staff was kind and very helpful. Definitely recommend it when visiting Mendoza!

Very nice quality for the price. Good bed, nice sheets. Breakfast was a bit better than expected. A generic comment, however. People, don’t log into Netflix or Amazon Prime and forget to log out. All over Argentina we have used other people’s accounts. We don’t rent movies. But others might be tempted to. Log yourselves out for your own safety!

I was going to give it a three star based on the property but the helpful staff makes it a 5 star. I beleive they are renovating presently so don’t be put off by the corridors. The rooms are large, the hotel is just three blocks to the Main Street for excellent restaurants. NOTE Uber will not take credit cards here and unless you have cash for taxis you are out of luck! Make sure you save some pesos for the cab to the airport.

I bring a group of university students to El Portal every March, and the staff always take great care of us. The rooms are comfortable and provide all of the amenities we need. The staff is gracious, knowledgeable, and their English is excellent. The restaurant staff are very attentive and friendly, despite the fact that few of us speak any Spanish. Though we rarely eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant, it provides an excellent breakfast and coffee service throughout the day. ||||If you're coming for Vendimia, the hotel's location is perfect. It just a couple of blocks from the parade route and also not far from some of the other night light spots in central Mendoza. Even so, the hotel itself is quite and provides a great refuge from the city's notoriously late nights.||||We could not imagine staying anywhere else during our visits and look forward to returning this coming March.

Simples and elegant. Rooms very clean, bed sheets first class. Reception efficient and fast. Nice breakfast. Excellent location
