I had the best experience at Portland Gear this morning! I was looking for a backpack on my way back home to Florida and found the perfect one — a large blue pack that I absolutely love. Patrick and Dakota were fantastic in helping me narrow down the choices and made the whole experience fun and easy. Great product, great people, and outstanding service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re flying into or out of Portland!

I visited the Portland Gear flagship store today to purchase a Cascade backpack. This is the 4th one I've purchased, all for family members. The store was light and bright, well merchandised, not cluttered. I was greeted and helped right away by Xavier who could not have been more professional, pleasant and helpful. Overall an awesome retail experience one does NOT get when shopping on line. Shop and support local!

Zoe was so incredibly helpful and engaging. She and her team at PDX really go out of their way to deliver outstanding service! She remembers your face and greets you with a smile and enthusiasm. I went back the second day and bought a total of 24 items. These items are so popular and I see so many flight attendants and passengers carrying them! I got mine!!🎒🥰

My aunt, cousin, and I visited the downtown store on Oct 24th and all three of us walked out with a bag! My aunt also bought the first of the new rain jackets and loves it. Xavier, Kayla, and Nate were super helpful, answering our questions but never being pushy. Highly recommend if you want to shop for some cool gear without feeling pressured to buy.

Dakota at the PDX Airport store was incredibly helpful with a gift exchange of a Cascade Backpack. I just needed to swap to a different color, and Kira with the online team put me in touch with Dakota who made it all super easy and seamless. Great backpack. Great team at Portland Gear!! Thank you!

Elena was super helpful and was able to answer all my questions regarding size specifications, witch bags can fit under the seat, etc. And when she saw the color backpack I was purchasing, she also let me know about a bundling deal going on so I was able to get a perfect Christmas present for my family with coordinating pieces. The staff at the PDX airport location were very welcoming and I'll definitely be making a repeat purchase on my next trip thru pdx.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Portland Gear has the worst return policy! If you miss checking the little box for “Free Returns and Package Protection” ( which is NOT free as it costs $1.98), you have to pay for the full cost of the return of your items. And if that’s not bad enough, you have to pay for the return postage UP FRONT. They will not deduct it from your previously paid amount for the items. In my case, because I live in Alaska, that’s $26.13. I returned the product because it was a bit cheaper looking than I had hoped. Which is fine, it didn’t cost a lot. However the zippers did not glide well, the overall feel was cheap. I would not have written a review, certainly not a negative one, if they had a decent return policy. 😡😡😡

I bought a gorgeous Portland Gear bag at PDX on my way home from vacation. I noticed the colorful display at the airport upon arrival and knew I wanted to stop by on my way home. I worked with both Dakota and Nick and not only did they greet me immediately upon walking up to the kiosk, they were both friendly and incredibly knowledgeable of the product. You could tell how much they loved the product based on the time they spent with me and their excitement around showing me all of the features. I'm so excited for my next trip and to use my new backpack!
