Make a reservation because unless your luck is great, there is a line - and for a darn good reason! The food is fantastic and the staff are amazing. We've been once and I can promise you we're going again!

The food and service was great. We like everything we ordered. The restaurant was cozy. My partner and I had a good time and would recommend the place.

The food here is top notch and gives any restaurant on Preston St a run for their money. Very small restaurant so reservations are a must to avoid disappointment, they also have a brisk takeout clientele. Has entered my "top 5" fav restaurants in ottawa!

Wow wow wow! What a delicious experience!! Service was incredible and the food was to die for!!! Every meal brought to the table was delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly ! The portion sizes are huge and the prices extremely fair for the quality and portions. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu. Make sure to make reservations as the place is super tiny.

My wife and I went here for the first time to enjoy a date night out. Immediately we were welcomed with bright, vibrant and inviting staff. Once we sat down, it felt as though we had been welcomed into an Italian home to enjoy a meal with family. The servers were phenomenal; the best I have personally experienced while eating in a restaurant. They were attentive without being overbearing, and gave my wife and I excellent recommendations on our food choices. The food was absolutely dazzling. Beautiful presentation that tastes as good as it looks. You truly get a taste of classic authentic Italian food here. On top of all that, the dessert was amazing as well. My wife and I can hardly wait until the next time we dine at Porto A Casa!

It’s a small, cozy spot with very limited seating — definitely on the tighter side. The atmosphere is cute, but when it comes to the food, it was just okay. I had the fettuccine Alfredo, and to be honest, it tasted very similar to what you’d get at East Side Mario’s. The chicken Parmesan had a strong tomato flavor, but the sauce was a bit watered down and quite salty. As for the fried zucchini, it was overcooked and had a slightly burnt taste. The highlight, though, was the staff — they were genuinely warm and extremely friendly.

We went as a party of six and had reservations for 7:30pm. Shortly upon arrival we were told that the kitchen would be closed at 8pm. We quickly ordered. Then the waitress hovered about and kept cleaning out our plates. We were offered take out boxes to take our “leftovers” even while we were just half finishing our meals. I know they are closed at 9 but we felt so rushed and unwelcome that we were out of there by 8:45pm. If they were so rushed to get their customers out perhaps they shouldn’t have accepted our reservations in the first place. I have been there many times before and liked their food and services but this time we were grossly disappointed. Perhaps we felt so rushed that the food didn’t even taste good. We won’t be back.

Delicious carbonara and the staff was amazingly friendly and super helpful. Thanks for a great meal and I look forward to my next visit.
