I spent 7 nights at Porto del Sol. I keep good memories about this place. Pros: really nice view, close to bus station (right in front of the hotel), free wi-fi, low prices, good for self-catering. Cons: the aspect of the room could be improved (it didn't matter for us how the room looked, as long as we had all facilities we need), you have to pay extra if you need air conditioning or hair drier||I've read before my trip that it's difficult to sleep well at night because of the noise - we didn't have a problem with that, even if I have a easily disturbed sleep. Also, I've read that some people had issuses with hot water or fridge. Everything functioned well, we didn't had problems with them.

We stayed a Porto del Sol in September. The place was as we expected without any major problems. The kitchen stool was a little bit old and the fridge as well, but the rest of the room was in a good condition. The highlight of the room was the balcony with a great view of the sea, perfect for open air breakfast. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep for a fair price, than this is the place for you. The bus stop is just downstairs, so you can reach every location on the island very quickly. At night the room can be noise, because the guesthouse is next to the main road. All in all we had a great time at Porto del Sol.

Despite the minuses mentioned below ,which are not that bad I consider this accomodation as very good and definitely recommend.||+location & bus stop in front of the property |+close to the airport, close to the beaches, direct bus to Valetta|+ spacious apartment +cleaning services every three days| +groceries next to the property| +Good connections everywhere +beautiful view from the balcony|+small rocky beach near the property |+staff is nice, we did not have toaster or hairdryer in our apt, after request we got both||| -old stove| -gross pans, but pots okey-ish| -flushing system - toilet-bad |-no soap/shampoo| -no breakfast available| -wifi not working all the time |-no lightening in the corriddor or around lift|-dangerous as dark everywhere |-very noisy as main road down the balconies|-no air con only fans

We went to this restaurant twice during our stay. The first time was very nice. The food was tasty and the outside area is nice and offers a nice view of the bay, even though it is on the main road. |The service was the best part however, the staff were very friendly.|The second time we went was not so good on the food front. I had the rabbit and found it quite tough and bland. So overall a bit hit and miss for me.

Thank you for the option to have some delicious glutenfree dishes. I choose the pasta Farkou (if I remember correctly) with spinach, shrimps and cream. My husband had the regular spaghetti. Table was nicely decorated and we sat at the window giving us lots of light looking out on the water.|We had to wait a few minutes to get a table but we were able to order in the meantime so. It is still adjusting for us that pasta is seen as a starter and then you have a main course. We could have our pasta as a main course for an extra price so we did that :)

Our first taste of Malta 2000, we were not disappointed ! So much so we came for the next 8 years, the place is so friendly, we made good lifelong friends here. The appts we have stayed in a few of them, are all more or less of the same ilk, some are Basil ||Fawlty, that added to the fun !. Good bus links ,fab food below and a few eateries within walking distance. There is a lido across the road which is good, also you can use pool at Port Azzuro , with added pool bar

Very basic accommodation. No running water in first room so had to swap which was good as we actually got decent wardrobe's in the second room. The drains stank though and the traffic noise is horrific. Forget sleeping if you have the balcony door open for fresh air.

I’ll start with the positive marks of this guesthouse.|-great view from the balcony|-close to bus stop|-beach close to the area |-convenient store nearby|-good price |-fully equipped kitchen||the negative marks are|-the water pressure of the shower was just terrible|-no hot water (shower and kitchen)|-the bed were uncomfortable|-no reception or help desk on Sunday|I understand that there is no 24 hrs reception but atleast give a contact in case of emergency|so if emergency happens, there’s no one to help you|-you have to pay extra for Ac (7 euro per night)|Thank God we asked for a room with AC because in July it’s so hot and the fan that they have in the room was so noisy |-some of the stuff in the room like the chairs were broken |-most of the furnitures need upgrade|-and the traffic noise|We stayed in the first level and it was so noisy even if all the doors were closed. |We were awakened by the traffic noise early morning like 5 am and we can’t even go back to sleep.
