Panayioti is the main host of this guesthouse and he is extremely nice and helpful. He drove us for a boat trip on his personal boat, out of charge. A must to have if you come for two nights, so you can spend a day in a remote beach; he will come and pick you up later. The room was super clean and comfortable. We hightly recommend this location.

Porto Kale is such a special place! Our room was overlooking the sea, boat trips to secluded beaches and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Magical, authentic and lovely people. Thank you!x

Staying at Porto Kale Guesthouse in Porto Kagio was an unforgettable experience. The guesthouse offers a spectacular sea view, creating the perfect setting for relaxation. The owner is truly exceptional – kind, attentive, and always ready to make your stay special. He even took us by boat to nearby beaches, giving us moments we’ll never forget. The breakfast was excellent, the service impeccable, and the rooms spotlessly clean. Porto Kale combines comfort, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality in a way that makes you feel part of the place. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this beautiful corner of Mani.

The welcome was perfect, even with a refreshing juice on arrival, and the view from our room over the beach was absolutely stunning. The room was very cute (a small downside for the bathroom and mattress, but still very good overall). The manager was so kind that he even took us by boat to a beautiful cove for a swim. A truly memorable experience!

Simply perfect ! The view, the location, the owners, the boat tour - again perfect ! There were some negative points on other comments regarding the breakfast but it was very nice and varied to me - not too much and not too few (taken on our private balcony and brought up by the owners asking first about our preferences) The house has been run by the family for twenty years so it is a little old style but this is shown on the pictures so no surprise there What is honestly not to like here - this was our little peace corner !

We stayed for one night at this lovely family-run pension during our Peloponnese road trip – and we honestly wished we could have stayed longer! The location is just perfect: some rooms have a direct view of the sea and within two minutes you can walk down to the beach. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The equipment is excellent yet authentic – balcony, fridge, clothes rack and Wi-Fi, everything you need. The atmosphere is calm and idyllic, ideal for relaxing and letting your mind unwind. The host family was incredibly warm and welcoming. On a hot day the kind owner even brought us ice-cold water and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. In the morning we enjoyed a lovingly prepared, traditional Greek breakfast. All in all, a truly wonderful stay that we would recommend to anyone. We will definitely come back!

Excellent family run guesthouse in this spectacular secluded bay surrounded by mountains. The rooms are rustic, but perfectly sympathetically designed in keeping with the traditional stone tower houses of the region and are as shown on the website pictures. Rooms do have the required mod-cons like very good ac, minibar fridge, modern flatscreen TV with connection to Netflix etc. via good WiFi. Great fresh white linen. Steps from the beach where the sun loungers are free for anyone to use. Two highlights were that Anos the proprietor took us on his boat to a secluded bay with caves that can only be reached by boat, and he picked us up 3 hours later - all at our convenience and without charge. Secondly the excellent and generous traditional breakfast - served on a terrace “in the trees”- by a wonderfully friendly lady. We did not eat lunch in Porto Kagio!

Looks lovely in the photos but a disappointing. It’s a tiny village at the end of the world, lovely beach which you drive down to get to the guest house! It’s a family business but feels a bit amateurish despite everyone trying hard. The room was ok but bathroom pretty basic, breakfast was fine. The house is literally built under a massive eucalyptus tree full of buzzing bees. Lots of mozzies at night but that’s not their fault. But I’m sure it’s fine in good weather right by the beach.
