Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

I paddled and my wife did a swim here this morning in the sea pool. Waves were crashing in on the rocks alongside. She enjoyed her swim very much. It is certainly a unique feature in Madeira. Excellent place to swim and have fun.

We came just before sunset and it was perfect — not too many people, and the views were absolutely stunning. The natural rock pools are beautiful and peaceful at that time of day. Definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring Madeira!

Amazing in summer to swim or in winter to see the huge waves. The views from the pool are just spectacular, a must do when in Madeira.

Awesome spot to check out. It was very cold getting in but nice afterwards. It’s closed when there are massive waves. I think it’s 3-5 euros to get in but it was included with our hotel.

Wow! This is so stunning. One of the most beautiful natural pools I've ever laid my eyes on. Want to get a good seat and parking? Be there right around 9:30 and stand in line. Beach chairs and annumbrella was $12 per person. The place is incredible and I couldn't help but wonder who created this. Its truly breathtaking. You can bring food and water inside. I am a fan of this place.

One of our highlights on our trip! We loved it here because it felt very secluded however there was plenty of space to sunbathe and plenty of rock pools to enjoy, it wasn’t too busy when we visited in May but as the summer rolls on, the popularity will increase as it is a popular stop on tours. The facilities are good with showers and toilets being clean and around the area there’s the old pools up the other end and there are a lot of shops such as a spar and a restaurant in the place. Once you go in you cannot leave without buying a new ticket so be aware of this.

Nice place to stop by after a hot day. The pools are good with chill water. The ticket fee is only 3€ per person, recommend to buy it online before so you don’t have to wait in line. It can get pretty busy, parking is near by for 2€/h.
