Porto River Aparthotel

A very clean newly renovated hotels situated among all the restaurants overlooking the river. Can see both Sunrise and sunset. Bedroom is in the back of the building so it’s not noisy at all. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon/ evening. Bathroom design simple clean. Large ceramic tiles is what’s popular these days. Beautiful hotel nestled in downtown Porto. Convenient to walking the city. The room was nicely appointed and very neat and clean. The staff from front desk to restaurant and housekeeping were top notch and EXTREMELY nice! They were eager to help us with any requests and very knowledgeable of the area! Would highly recommend a stay here! Will come back again.

Excellent location. Rooms were lovely, spacious, clean. Staff were incredible. Views were stunning and breakfast was delicious. Everything we needed was provided. Porto is a special place and Porto river is the place to stay. Don’t miss a wine tour on the Douro

Small but comfortable hotel. |Easily accessible from the main road into the city. Hotel sits right in front of the taxi ranks. Although the traffic on that main road is heavy. ||Clean airy room. Bright and light. |Although the shutters are awkward to keep privacy, it worked out fine. Clean. Dressing gowns were provided with a bottle of complimentary wine! ||You get a welcome drink and some lovely snacks upon arrival. ||It's central location means that it is by the river, easy to cross from Porto to Vila nova de Gaia on pont Luiz (bottom bridge).||Breakfast was plentiful and eggs can be ordered (included).||Being at the bottom of the hill, yes, everything starts with a climb, which is much better than finishing with one. ||Front of house were lovely. Helpful and welcoming. Nothing seemed like to much trouble. Staff always had a smile. |There are fruits to grab for a quick snack. The bar appears popular for passer by. Keeps is pleasantly busy. ||Enjoyed the experience. We had a great stay. Thank you.

From the welcoming reception, to the exquisite accommodations and decor, the privileged location on the river, the welcoming bottle of wine, the evening chocolate truffle gifts, and the view from our room we were absolutely spoiled!!! The beds and pillows made for a very comfortable sleep. The front desk all spoke English well, as well as the staff. The breakfast buffet rivaled that of a yacht cruise on the Riviera!! |If anything was to call attention for improvement it would be the plumbing odor on the top floor bathroom. Granted, it’s a very old building. The remedy was to close the “lid” and the door and open a window. Again, when weighed against the superb experience, it was graciously forgiven. Thank you so very much for everything!!!

We escaped another hotel to find this one. Chalk and cheese. The room was luxurious with everything we could need. Bar and food on shore was good, and the staff were beautiful and friendly. And right in the middle of the waterfront scene. Have recommended this place to family travelling. 10/10 would stay again.

As a busy mother of three busy adult children our family trips are sacred. I look for BUDGET friendly luxury boutique hotel experiences that can accommodate our large group. Porto River gives you modern luxury with historic Porto only steps below you. We loved opening the windows and french doors to let Porto and the river in! The views and the breakfast really make the experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I love staying before and after the kids leave to soak in some romantic days alone at the Porto River.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Porto River.|We stayed in a beautiful one bedroom apartment with an amazing river view . The apartment was decorated to a high standard with a very comfortable bed, and the extra touches like the wine and fruit on arrival were much appreciated.|All the staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly.|Breakfast was delicious too.|Porto River is in an excellent location for exploring the city .|Thank you to all the staff - we hope to return again one day.
