Porto River Aparthotel

A beautifully quaint apartment hotel located very close to the Douro River, with a nearby promenade featuring many outdoor dining choices and buskers. Our room was an efficiency with a stove, refrigerator, espresso maker and other features. The concierge staff are top notch and friendly, speaking English well. Included buffet breakfast had fruits, cheeses, meats, cereals, with options to ask for omelets, eggs any style, pancakes, and the staff there were friendly as well. We also dined at the hotel on our first night and the tapas and wine choices were very good. Closet space in the room left something to be desired, as we had to hang our clothes in a nook that did not go to the floor. My suit and my wife’s dress had to be hung elsewhere. ||Be aware that no Uber cars can go to this area, and only some taxis can. Walking to an area where you can get an Uber isn’t very difficult for those in good health, but can be a chore for those with limitations or even for those without limitations in the rain on cobbled, hilly streets. It so happened that it rained frequently during our 4 night stay. The concierge staff is very helpful in calling a cab with the necessary permits to enter the area, but dinner times can be busy and hectic in that area.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with friendly staff. There is one major flaw being that you can hear every step someone takes in the room above you (at least in the room we had) and it is very loud. We lost the majority of a nights sleep due to our upstairs neighbor pacing around half the night. Staff were apologetic but ultimately unhelpful.

We stayed over New Year’s Eve, it was absolutely amazing.|They view was great and the location perfect right in front of the river and plaza. We were able to see the fireworks from our window.|We had the apartment on the fifth floor, which was the only apartment on that floor. |The personnel were very friendly and helpful. We arrived a bit too early but we were able to store our luggages and they even brought them up to our room before we checked in.|They guided us up and explained us the apartment, provided us complementary fruits and a bottle of sparkling wine which was very accommodating.|The breakfast was small and okay, fresh fruits, cereals and we could choose between an omelette or a pancake.|Overall we were very happy with our stay and can 100% recommend it!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was great. Hotel very clean. We had a room with the balcony. Included a little kitchenette. Enjoyed a well prepared cooked to order breakfast. Sits right on Douro River. We were very pleased.

I definitely recommend this hotel as the best in Porto, unbeatable location, super better service thanks to Adaris (the Cuban) who convinced us to stay at the hotel even though we didn't have a reservation and we could choose any other hotel. THERE IS NO BETTER ALTERNATIVE THAN THIS HOTEL. IF you are lucky enough to meet Adaris you will hit the lottery.

A unique hotel in a splendid location, just a short walk from places of interest and includes a fine restaurant. Truly attentive staff who made our stay a pleasure. Particular thanks to Sonia who was faultless in her attention. Daniela was equally helpful. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Excellent location, the hotel is in the Rebeira area. Our room with balcony offers a view of the Douro river and the Luis 1 bridge. You can see the Gaia area in the opposite bank. Plenty of the restaurant downstairs. Taxi cannot drop you at the hotel, we had to take our luggage going down a short slope, and vice versa when we left. The breakfast was adequate.

We had an amazing stay at the Ribiera area of Porto, right by the river at this place. We had a suite which suited our family of 3. The beds were comfortable and the hotel provided excellent stuff for a happy stay. The breakfast was included and it was good with freshly made eggs items and very courteous servers. The best was the location of this hotel. It was right in the center of the action and was very conveniently located for all the activities. Our 3 nights were perfect at this place and I highly recommend this hotel.
