Porto River Aparthotel

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|We had a wonderful stay at the Porto River Aparthotel! The service was excellent, and we especially want to commend Sonia at the front desk. She provided outstanding customer service throughout our stay — always helpful, attentive, and ready to assist with anything we needed. Her friendly attitude and professionalism made us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Thank you, Sonia, for making our stay extra special! Highly recommended hotel and staff.

The hotel room is beautiful located in front of the Douro river. Everything inside the room is clean and they tried their best to help you with your needs. The complimentary fruits and drinks are excellent. Their breakfast is on a bit high side but very worth it and delicious with lots of fresh fruits. The staffs are all very accommodating especially Sonia, she’s the best!!! Thanks and we enjoyed very much at our first arrival at this beautiful city!

This hotel was great and kind of unique. I was upgraded to the one bedroom apartment upstairs and it was pretty amazing. All of the staff was great but Pedro was particularly helpful, professional and offered great service. The breakfast was very good as well. Overall a great stay! Thank you Porto River

Most enjoyable short stay . Very helpful staff . Booked for a double room but was given a self catering apartment which was very well equipped. We visited the local restaurant and had a very good meal. Friendly people and very relaxed atmosphere. Good location on the river with views across to Gaia .

From the welcoming reception, to the exquisite accommodations and decor, the privileged location on the river, the welcoming bottle of wine, the evening chocolate truffle gifts, and the view from our room we were absolutely spoiled!!! The beds and pillows made for a very comfortable sleep. The front desk all spoke English well, as well as the staff. The breakfast buffet rivaled that of a yacht cruise on the Riviera!! |If anything was to call attention for improvement it would be the plumbing odor on the top floor bathroom. Granted, it’s a very old building. The remedy was to close the “lid” and the door and open a window. Again, when weighed against the superb experience, it was graciously forgiven. Thank you so very much for everything!!!

A very clean newly renovated hotels situated among all the restaurants overlooking the river. Can see both Sunrise and sunset. Bedroom is in the back of the building so it’s not noisy at all. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon/ evening. Bathroom design simple clean. Large ceramic tiles is what’s popular these days. That’s how I want my bathroom to be

Very well appointed hotel with beautifully designed grounds, decorations, and spots to create a wonderful peaceful oasis in line with the spirit of a visit to Fatima. The food, location, and rooms are all fabulous. We will stay there again if we return, and we highly recommend it.

Small but comfortable hotel. |Easily accessible from the main road into the city. Hotel sits right in front of the taxi ranks. Although the traffic on that main road is heavy. ||Clean airy room. Bright and light. |Although the shutters are awkward to keep privacy, it worked out fine. Clean. Dressing gowns were provided with a bottle of complimentary wine! ||You get a welcome drink and some lovely snacks upon arrival. ||It's central location means that it is by the river, easy to cross from Porto to Vila nova de Gaia on pont Luiz (bottom bridge).||Breakfast was plentiful and eggs can be ordered (included).||Being at the bottom of the hill, yes, everything starts with a climb, which is much better than finishing with one. ||Front of house were lovely. Helpful and welcoming. Nothing seemed like to much trouble. Staff always had a smile. |There are fruits to grab for a quick snack. The bar appears popular for passer by. Keeps is pleasantly busy. ||Enjoyed the experience. We had a great stay. Thank you.
