Porto Veneziano Hotel

My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Porto Veneziano! The location is perfect, the rooms were spotless, and the staff went above and beyond to make our first visit to Crete unforgettable. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating—always ready to help with anything we needed. Thanks to their fantastic recommendations for dinner reservations, local gyro spots, the most beautiful beaches, and more, we were able to truly enjoy everything the area has to offer. The hotel’s food and bar were excellent, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and completely safe. We can’t thank the staff enough for their warmth and hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend Porto Veneziano to anyone visiting Crete—it’s truly the perfect place to stay!

Lovely hotel in a perfect location, right on the port and edge of the old town. Walking distance to everything, lots of restaurants and bars close by. Rooms were clean and modern, only negative was that our room was a bit small and difficult to open a large suitcase. Breakfast is great with a good selection of cold items and hot items you can order off the menu. Service from the breakfast staff could be slightly improved but the staff at the front desk were great. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in Chania.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a modern hotel with simple, but relaxing decor. The rooms and bathrooms are well kitted out, but small with restricted storage space. The rooms feature a small, but useful balcony with enough room for table and 2 chairs. Very comfortable bed. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard attached to the bar and a good restaurant. Breakfast was good with a variety of offerings from the buffet, but also dishes such as omelettes made to order. Dinner was good, but a bit chaotic with our main course served long before we had finished our starters. A small misstep and they were very busy. To be recommended.

Lovely hotel with a wonderful staff. A bit away from the heart of the old city, which was a positive in terms of a lack of crowds but a bit of a long walk to go to the city. The Greek sun was intense, which made the walk seem longer! Can’t say enough about the staff - friendly m accommodating, and quick with a smile. There were many returning customers.

Absolutely loved staying here!! Gorgeous, classy rooms in an excellent location! The rooms are said to be small, but we stayed in the suite which was just brilliant. It’s rated 3 stars but should be 5! Congratulations on an excellent offering!! Highly recommended. We will be back. Great in room dining and restaurant experience too!

I cant say enough about both the staff and hotel. We were staying with Porto Veneziano for a company retreat. Everyone made us feel so special - the hotel is absolutely beautiful but the real prize is all the people working at the hotel - Ive never seen a team that is so accommodating - with the airtraffic control strikes, I worked with the hotel to rebook extra nights and move people around - I just couldnt believe that they made it all work. They also helped us with all the tours and local attractions. The hotel is very modern and spacious, the rooms are in great condition. The breakfast is simple fantastic - what are you waiting for - get to Chania and stay at Port Veneziano hotel!

The hotel is amazing. Great location, fantastic front desk staff, so clean, easy to park, beautiful views and so close to so many traditional shops, bars and restaurants. They couldn’t have done anymore for us. We had a junior suite with a sea view and it was beautiful. Will definitely stay here when we return to Crete.

The nicest people, the best location and one of the finest hotels in Greece. Spotlessly clean, wonderful harbour views and professionally run. Top place to stay.
