I don’t know where to begin but this gorgeous guesthouse oozes the charm of Porto. From the absolutely wonderful Sofia and Maria, who go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and happy, to the beautiful rooms- each different with their own individual styles. Every area of the property feels delicate, thought about and homely. My bedroom featured a beautiful four-poster bed, vibrant green furnishings and a pretty set of French doors that led out to a balcony. The bed itself was sooo comfy and everything quiet - slept like a dream every night. Then breakfast. There’s a lovely selection prepared every day, with homemade cakes and delicious sandwiches and other various things. The terrace is also a great addition, a quiet and pretty place to unwind. With a noisy but very friendly cat too. I cannot thank you enough for this perfect stay. It felt like I was at home, and left with friends 🫶🏻

The hotel is a well restored old building, it's quite beautiful. And also, they keep it extremely clean. The owner, who has the same name as our daughter, is very kind, and gave us some tips about the parking, visiting the city, shopping, etc. She spoke (as far as I know) fluent Spanish, Portuguese and English. I would recommend, and we'll probably repeat if we go to Porto again.

We arrived to book in but no reception staff or concierge is on duty. It seems there is only someone here in the morning, presumably to oversee breakfasts and guests who are leaving, so there is no-one to greet new arrivals like us. Instead are given a code to open the front door. Unfortunately it wasn't explained that there is a trick to opening it! We were disturbed at night by guests unable to get in and found ourselves getting up to help them!||The building itself is a lovely old renovated terrace house on edge of historic district. However we found it somewhat spartan, and with the exception of the breakfast room, without decoration. Bare floorboards mean one can hear everyone moving around on the stairs and in other rooms, and fanlights above doors mean one can be disturbed by people coming in late or leaving early. We were also somewhat disconcerted to find no emergency, ie fire safety, instructions posted, or fire extinguishers, and all the windows appeared sealed shut.||The rooms are clean, but spartan. The beds are comfortable enough and bedding was reasonable, although some pillows were lumpy and only one per each twin bed. We found light switches did not work, not all of the plug sockets worked and one bed side light for a twin bed did not work. Also, although In a room potentially sleeping 4, only 1 straight backed chair. We had to make do with boxes. There was not even one comfortable chair in which to relax after a long day’s sightseeing. Nor is there a guest lounge. ||The rooms have all seem to have had new showers fitted recently, but not ones that can be adjusted to height of users and too high for me without unhooking the shower head. Nor did the shower screen extend the full length of the shower,so it was difficult to stop water spreading outside the shower. I could also take quite a long time for the hot water to come through. The towels, barely adequate for bath/shower use, were not changed after 3 nights as per the notice, and one day we found the lavatory hadn’t been cleaned.||The guesthouse advertises its outside space - a courtyard garden well furnished with garden tables and chairs - but it is locked preventing guests from accessing it other than at breakfast time, so chance of resting during heat of day in a shady area. Or in the evening. We managed to access it once, but this seems to have been the result of an oversight in locking it. ||The breakfast is perfectly adequate but not special. The coffee was made in advance and stored in a thermos jug. We noticed German guests leaving it. ||In all honesty, we were not impressed.

Very chill, modern appointments - easy to relax in, and close to many restaurants and cafes. Clean & secure, makes for peace of mind and peace of body.

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful guesthouse and would highly recommend it to family and friends. It is in a nice, safe part of Porto, in a really interesting street with lots of cafes and restaurants lower down, and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist centre. The owners couldn’t be more welcoming, and were very attentive and kind, and offered to supply anything we needed, including a kettle for tea. The family room was spacious, spotlessly clean, very quiet and tranquil, with air conditioning which was a relief after the hot weather of Porto. The kids had a separate room, and there was a bathroom and separate toilet. The breakfast was included in the price and a generous continental spread of pastries, breads, cereals, juice, yoghurt, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, fruits, eggs etc. Overall, a terrific stay! Thank you.

I was so disappointed in this hotel. It is more like an unserviced apartment with no facilities in the room. No kettle, not even a bottle of water. Only one chair and no area to get ready unless you count by the shower.|As for location, we did not feel safe walking around at night. So many rough sleepers and beggars. |We were meant to be staying here two nights but we booked into another hotel for one night which was cheaper than what we paid for this hotel and was much much better. Highly recommend the Vincci Porto de Ferro and just wish we had booked there for two nights instead of here. Stunning views and a warm reception including coffee, water, tub, seating and vanity table. All that was missing from the Porto Vintage Guesthouse.|I did message the owner to say we would not be there at breakfast however when we did arrive, the woman who greeted us was extremely rude. Asking where we had been and she had checked our room and we had not slept there. I was very perturbed to have our whereabouts questioned in such a way. We had left some things of ours in the room and was not expecting anyone to go into our room much less question where we had been. Especially as I had messaged to say we would not be at breakfast. Honestly the worst reception we have ever had.|I do not know how anyone would rate this hotel, I feel so ripped off and the way we were treated by the receptionist soured our last day here. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was a communal area where you could go and make a drink but the door is locked except for a few hours at breakfast. And then to the worst part, the noise in room 21. All night long there were cars up and down the street, we have never had such a poor nights sleep. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

This is a low key bed and breakfast in a fantastic area. The room was large and elegant with a very high ceiling. Everything was beautifully designed in a modern, minimilist style with a claw foot bath a high powered shower. Breakfast was good and service was perfectly adequate. It's not a hotel so not staffed all the time. A great place to stay in Porto!

This is a beautiful B&B, very helpful and knowledgeable host. It only has a handful of large very stylish rooms in an old townhouse. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is huge and delicious. It's quiet at night despite bars and restaurants close by. Walking distance to main sights. Sadly unable to open windows, need to rely on AC. The WiFi connection wasn't great but that did not really cause problems for us.
