We had a wonderful stay at this delightful guesthouse and would highly recommend it to family and friends. It is in a nice, safe part of Porto, in a really interesting street with lots of cafes and restaurants lower down, and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist centre. The owners couldn’t be more welcoming, and were very attentive and kind, and offered to supply anything we needed, including a kettle for tea. The family room was spacious, spotlessly clean, very quiet and tranquil, with air conditioning which was a relief after the hot weather of Porto. The kids had a separate room, and there was a bathroom and separate toilet. The breakfast was included in the price and a generous continental spread of pastries, breads, cereals, juice, yoghurt, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, fruits, eggs etc. Overall, a terrific stay! Thank you.

I was so disappointed in this hotel. It is more like an unserviced apartment with no facilities in the room. No kettle, not even a bottle of water. Only one chair and no area to get ready unless you count by the shower.|As for location, we did not feel safe walking around at night. So many rough sleepers and beggars. |We were meant to be staying here two nights but we booked into another hotel for one night which was cheaper than what we paid for this hotel and was much much better. Highly recommend the Vincci Porto de Ferro and just wish we had booked there for two nights instead of here. Stunning views and a warm reception including coffee, water, tub, seating and vanity table. All that was missing from the Porto Vintage Guesthouse.|I did message the owner to say we would not be there at breakfast however when we did arrive, the woman who greeted us was extremely rude. Asking where we had been and she had checked our room and we had not slept there. I was very perturbed to have our whereabouts questioned in such a way. We had left some things of ours in the room and was not expecting anyone to go into our room much less question where we had been. Especially as I had messaged to say we would not be at breakfast. Honestly the worst reception we have ever had.|I do not know how anyone would rate this hotel, I feel so ripped off and the way we were treated by the receptionist soured our last day here. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was a communal area where you could go and make a drink but the door is locked except for a few hours at breakfast. And then to the worst part, the noise in room 21. All night long there were cars up and down the street, we have never had such a poor nights sleep. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

This is a beautiful B&B, very helpful and knowledgeable host. It only has a handful of large very stylish rooms in an old townhouse. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is huge and delicious. It's quiet at night despite bars and restaurants close by. Walking distance to main sights. Sadly unable to open windows, need to rely on AC. The WiFi connection wasn't great but that did not really cause problems for us.

My wife and I enjoyed our 2 nights stay in Room 3 which is situated on the top floor (loft conversion ) .There's no lift and the staircase is narrow and steep but we managed. This is a very old house that has been converted into a guesthouse in 2015. There's a lot of room for improvement in the interior design and soft furnishings to elevate towards a vintage standard. Maria was super friendly and we enjoyed our interaction with her. |Despite TA reviews back in 2015 about ineffective wifi and lack of communal lounge, nothing has been done. We had to loiter on the ground floor in order to use the Wifi as the breakfast room is locked after service. There's no coffee /tea making facilities in the room. Nonetheless the room is comfortable though lighting could be improved. The complimentary breakfast is basic. The central location of this guesthouse is good for tourists.

This is a low key bed and breakfast in a fantastic area. The room was large and elegant with a very high ceiling. Everything was beautifully designed in a modern, minimilist style with a claw foot bath a high powered shower. Breakfast was good and service was perfectly adequate. It's not a hotel so not staffed all the time. A great place to stay in Porto!

Nice place full of lovely details. They had preserved the heritage of this old building, but made it enjoyable for the nowadays usage. The room is large and has a balcony with view for the backyard, everything is silent here. The amenities also great, the welcome drink and breakfast.

Beautifully and sensitively renovated with heritage aspects lovingly retained and complemented. Images on website can be mis-leading. Three superior rooms each with different specialism. Ask questions about the room when you book. Sofia has a lovely attitude to guests. The garden is only accessible at breakfast time, when it is usually in the shade. Sofia works hard to be a superb host. Wifi is always dodgy here.

Porto||Porto Vintage Guesthouse (February 3-7)||(Trindade Metro Station 200 meters)||Rua do Almada N.º 580-584, 4050-039 Porto, Portugal||||Location: Close to Metro station (Trindade Metro Station is 200 meters) and walking distance to the waterfront and attractions, quiet area. Like many bed-and-breakfast in Europe they are quite unremarkable from the outside but the inside are very nice.||Breakfast: typical European breakfast with bread, sliced cheese, sliced ham, jam, fruit, pastries and coffee. Room : Very clean but the room is small, no TV or refrigerator if that is important to you. There was a garden area but was not accessible in the afternoon or evenings.||Wifi was not working on the top floor for two days. We had to sit in the stairwell on the ground floor in order to get as signal. The breakfast room is locked after 11 a.m. Lack of communal lounge. There's no coffee /tea making facilities.
