PortoBay Flores (Porto, Norte) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On a walking street in the heart of historic Porto, right next door to the Misericórdia church and museum, PortoBay Flores is quite literally a collision of the old and the new: a 16th-century palace with a brand-new addition, and inside a thoroughly modern luxury boutique hotel. The 11 rooms and suites in the old palace offer classic architectural details, but the 55 in the new wing are scarcely less attractive. The hotel’s Mandalay Spa imports Indian and Thai therapies, while the Bistrô Flores and the Bar dos Maias offer a modern haute-cuisine spin on Portuguese traditions." - Tablet Hotels

Superb central location, right in the heart of Porto. Despite this, our room was quiet and we were not disturbed by noise from outside. |Blackout curtains helped us not to wake up too early. The bathroom was excellent. The shower was the best we ever experienced — the water pressure was amazing and the shower did not leak anywhere! The shower also had great tiles on the floor that meant there was no chance of slipping. ||The public rooms were gorgeous blending a very old building with modern facilities. ||Breakfast was very well done and the staff there were fantastic. In fact the staff in the hotel from housekeeping, reception and restaurant and bar were all friendly, welcoming and efficient. ||We also had some pleasant surprises including lovely chocolate cookies one night, and a Portuguese liqueur with little chocolate cups. ||Overall, we were really pleased we chose this hotel. ||Porto is a great place to visit and this is a great hotel to stay in Porto.

We stayed for 3 nights as two couples. ||Hotel is immaculate and in a very attractive building. Location is perfect. ||Staff were all very professional and friendly. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the bar which was very nice. Rooms were tastefully decorated and a very comfy bed. I would highly recommend this hotel and could not fault it.

We loved our stay at PortoBay Flores. The architecture and design were so unique and blended the old with the new. Check in was friendly and efficient, we were upgraded to a room on the 7th floor with a small balcony and amazing views of the rooftops of Porto. The room itself was simple but very comfortable and clean, the rainfall shower was the highlight of the room! The breakfast had great variety and was in a beautiful space. The hotel is located on a pedestrian only street, so could be difficult if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues (but was not an issue for us at all!)

Lovely hotel with plenty of original features in an excellent central location of the old town.||Rooms vary from those in the original part of the building to the newer wing. Most face inwards to the courtyard and can be a bit dark except those on the higher floors which have views above the roof of the hotel. All well appointed as you would expect of a 5* rating. Staff helpful and pleasant. There is a small pavement café which serves snacks/drinks to watch the world go by!||This is a pedestrian street but taxis and service vehicles are allowed access. If you have a hire car check out access/parking etc.

Lovely character to the hotel and in a great central location in the historic part of town.||Had a really comfortable room overlooking the courtyard, comfortable bed, quiet room - no noise from outside or from other guests. Great air con, quiet and efficient, lovely respite from the hot weather.||Fantastic breakfast. Great quality food and friendly service. Would definitely recommend and stay in a PortoBay hotel again.||||

Fabulous hotel! Our room was super comfortable with a great bed and nice amenities like a Nespresso coffee machine. The view from our window was incredible! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great - right in the center of the old city. I highly recommend this hotel for those visiting Porto.

Absolutely delightful hotel in a fantastic location. Staff should be cloned and sent to work in other hospitality venues. Polite, cheerful, helpful and always on hand for any information required. We honestly couldn’t think of even a minor issue or suggestion for improvement.
