PortoBay Flores (Porto, Norte) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On a walking street in the heart of historic Porto, right next door to the Misericórdia church and museum, PortoBay Flores is quite literally a collision of the old and the new: a 16th-century palace with a brand-new addition, and inside a thoroughly modern luxury boutique hotel. The 11 rooms and suites in the old palace offer classic architectural details, but the 55 in the new wing are scarcely less attractive. The hotel’s Mandalay Spa imports Indian and Thai therapies, while the Bistrô Flores and the Bar dos Maias offer a modern haute-cuisine spin on Portuguese traditions." - Tablet Hotels

Our first visit to Porto and have to say this hotel made it fantastic. A beautiful immaculate room with a incredible view. Very peaceful but in a really central location. The staff were all top notch, very attentive and helpful. Everything we needed was available. Very very good breakfast and evening meals. Highly recommend.

This hotel is perfectly situated and a pretty part of Porto. With easy access to the river and the famous bridge and all the churches and palaces we loved our stay here. Have a drink at the hotel bar where staff are exceedingly courteous and everyone speaks English if required. The spa was included in our rate and is small, but super useful after a day of walking

We booked upper floor room and the view was worth it. Facing the courtyard so great sleep quality as quiet. The shower was excellent and the mattress extremely comfortable.||The location of the hotel is spot on. ||The service was good but the hotel we found was understaffed for such a busy hotel.||Breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast is good just the coffee underwhelming.||The bar/lounge is bit small and not in the perfect place we ended up sitting often by the door which is constantly openning to outside. ||Did not use the spa as rather pricey. ||However overall l would highly recommend this hotel for location and room comfort.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Our first trip to Porto and we definitely chose a fabulous hotel. Very central on a pedestrianised street with beautiful shops, restaurants and entertainment. Our room was wonderful. We had a superb view across the city. Every facility was present even a walk in wardrobe. High end toiletries by Rituals. The food was delicious. Everything you could wish for at breakfast. We had tapas boards some evenings in the bar and these were brilliant too. Wonderful cocktails too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had the Starlight Dinner which was absolutely superb. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

PortoBay Flores was a great choice. Perfect location in walking distance to every site across Porto. The hotel and the rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Only issue was the poor lighting in the rooms...but that was truly the only very minor issue. Concierge was very helpful and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

The location in Old Town is amazing. It has both historical as well as modern aspects to the hotel. The buffet breakfast is fully loaded and plenty of choices. It even has eggs made to order.

Stayed here for the first 3 nights on our 2 week trip around Portugal.|Superb location, Very nicely appointed hotel - staff superb - properly trained 5-star staff, always helpful, gave useful information and volunteered to make arrangements. |Sadly the room we got on our first night was frankly unacceptable for a hotel of this class - tiny and at the back and despite being on 7th floor had street running just below which got noisy early. After complaining were upgraded to really nice room on the courtyard for the last two night. Dread to think what the rate for this room was as the original was pretty expensive anyway

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little hotel. The quality of fixtures and fittings was high, the staff were very attentive, breakfast was AMAZING and the rooms were large, quiet, clean, safe and the beds were comfortable.
