PortoBay Flores (Porto, Norte) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On a walking street in the heart of historic Porto, right next door to the Misericórdia church and museum, PortoBay Flores is quite literally a collision of the old and the new: a 16th-century palace with a brand-new addition, and inside a thoroughly modern luxury boutique hotel. The 11 rooms and suites in the old palace offer classic architectural details, but the 55 in the new wing are scarcely less attractive. The hotel’s Mandalay Spa imports Indian and Thai therapies, while the Bistrô Flores and the Bar dos Maias offer a modern haute-cuisine spin on Portuguese traditions." - Tablet Hotels

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the PortoBay Flores. We stayed for four nights in a top floor superior room. The room fittings and furnishings were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The shower was nice and powerfull. The continental breakfast items were the best I've ever experienced. We ate dinner once in the hotel and that was also great. The 'hot' buffet breakfast items and the coffee weren't as hot as I like. We didn't request any 'to order' breakfast items, we were enjoying the fruit, cheeses, hams, and patissertie so much. The staff were all warm, friendly and helpful. I would prefer a swimming pool but I overall I think the owners made the best use of the space they have available. We would likely stay at PortoBay Flores if we visit Porto again.

First impression of this hotel is fantastic, great central location, staff really are faultless, any issue would be resolved. We will state however, various rooms overlooking rundown houses only metres from our first room, room 713, curtains have to be closed, asked to be moved the following morning and provided with a room overlooking the courtyard, gives a totally different experience and highly recommended. We have then ate at the hotel for the Starlight dinner, food, staff location was fantastic, again highly recommended.||The staff, this raging from every person we met or spoke with are there to provide such quality customer service and really makes the stay 5*||The only minor letdown is breakfast, hot items are not hot, twice attempted, once after informing staff and still not good enough and we feel this really does need addressing.||This will not lower our rating of the hotel mind but was the weak part of the hotel/dining.||Management also organised having some lost engraved port glasses made for us which meant a great deal.||This really does show the priority is the customer.||Thank You to all staff.

The hotel is in a perfect location in Porto. It's really easy to get around the city. The Timeout food market is just around the corner. The hotel itself is so nice. The rooms are lovely, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and well stocked with luxury bath and shower items. Having breakfast at the restaurant with a window seat overlooking the street below was a highlight in the morning. Would recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Flores in Porto for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! What a truly stunning hotel – from the beautiful design to the perfect location right in the heart of the city. The staff were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make our stay special. They even provided us with a fantastic room to celebrate our honeymoon, which we greatly appreciated. Everything about our experience was wonderful – the hotel was immaculate, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was outstanding. If you’re unsure where to stay in Porto, this is the one. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed! A huge thank you to the team at Hotel Flores for making our honeymoon so memorable.

Had an absolute fantastic stay at PortoBay Flores. The service, room, hotel were all superb. The spa and pool is also lovely and a great way to relax after walking around a lot during the day. I would say it was in the best position in Porto. The terrace and chapel are nice to sit out in to escape the hussle and bustle of the city. Will return! Thanks

This hotel is well-located in the historic centre of Porto, so convenient for lots of attractions. A lovely hotel which is very clean and comfortable throughout. The breakfast is terrific and there is a great selection of food for lunch and dinner. The service is excellent.

The design is a perfect blending of modern with the original architectural features. The property is well maintained or feels newly renovated. The SARDINE AND ROASTED PEPPERS BRUSCHETTA and the PEACH & STRAWBERRY ICE TEA at Bistro Flores were so tasty I wanted to go back for more.||The buffet breakfast charge includes a la carte items - scan the menu QR code even though it says dinner menu (There’s no a la carte only breakfast option).||The hotel is located on a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants and street musicians.||One of our rooms had a nice view of the central courtyard and the other was an attic room with an amazing view.||Excellent service. We had a misunderstanding over breakfast, and the staff adjusted the charge. The front desk provided some recommendations for visiting Douro Valley which were helpful.
