We have just returned for our 3rd visit to the Portobay Liberdade, and again thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay.||We choose the Liberdade because it is part of the Portobay Group, which we know well. The hotel has an imposing frontage on Rua Rosa Araujo, and is in an excellent location just off the beautiful Avenida da Liberdade and a reasonably short walk downhill into the city centre and its many attractions.||We had booked a Junior Suite which was very comfortable, having a separate lounge area with a patio door opening onto a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. There was a large and well-equipped bathroom with separate shower room, and plenty of storage space throughout.||There is a very nice roof terrace with a jacuzzi but unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to use it during our stay, but we did enjoy it on our last visit a couple of years ago.||The Spa is excellent, with a large indoor swimming pool opening onto an enclosed outdoor terrace, and good sized sauna and steam rooms.||Breakfast in the Bistrô4 restaurant was excellent with a great choice of well-prepared and presented hot and cold food. We also dined there once in the evening during our stay and had an excellent meal, with attentive and friendly service provided by Vasco who helped to make our meal really memorable.||We also enjoyed drinks and food in the Aviator6 bar, where the service provided by João and Luis was wonderful, and they both made us feel so welcome. ||In fact, all of the staff at the Liberdade were really friendly and customer focussed, particularly so the reception staff, guest relations and porters who all helped us during our stay.||In summary, we find the Liberdade to be an excellent hotel in every aspect for a stay in Lisbon.
