Portofino Beach Resort Belize

We had a wonderful time at Portofino and we’re already planning our next stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They all know your name by the first day and are genuinely happy to have a conversation with you. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were great sizes and private. We loved hanging out by the pool and walking along the beach. The tour company on the dock was incredible as well and very flexible to your needs and schedule. We enjoyed the smaller and quieter feel you get when staying up north. The resort is about a 35 minute drive from San Pedro, but that was a plus for us. The hotel offers pick up and drop off to the airport and will help you rent a golf cart or call a taxi. They made it very easy for us to explore and get around the island. Portofino provided one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to return.

So sad to leave!! Our stay at Portofino exceeded expectations. It's a cute, quiet, boutique resort, very private and beautiful. Tha staff go out of their way to make sure you have personalized care. We had our elopement here on the beach and Johanna made the planning process very enjoyable! Everything was gorgeous, it went so smoothly and our romantic dinner on the beach was delicious! Faura was so sweet, checking on us to make sure our stay was comfortable and all of the guys working the bar and restaurant kept things light and fun! Highly recommend this spot, 10/10 cant wait to come back!

Amazing 10/10 stay!!!!! Could not recommend this resort enough!!! We stayed for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Our room was amazing with the thatch roof! The pool is in the middle and was so nice to sit by during the day! The bartenders, Rodie and Darwin, are so sweet, fun, and charismatic! The wait staff at the restaurant were amazing as well! Since it is farther outside of town, the concierge was very helpful with organizing a golf cart rental for us to go into town for a day! We ate most of our meals at the restaurant and the food was SO GOOD!! Drinks were also amazing!! Highly recommend staying here when visiting San Pedro! The perfect resort for your relaxing vacation!

The facilites, the grounds, the staff, the food and the drinks were wonderful. The resort is nice and relaxed and far enough out of town to be quiet, but close enough to get to town on a golf cart if one wanted to.||The resort is clean and well taken care of. All of the staff are hardworking, kind and very helpful. I fully enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend it for others.||The only thing I did not like was leaving, I should have stayed longer!

I do not have enough good things to say about my stay at Portofino! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a fantastic experience! ||The Royal Orchid honeymoon suite was spacious and comfortable and the food was top notch, fresh seafood and homemade breads and pastas. The stay was extremely accommodating and friendly, always greeting us by name and making sure we were having a fantastic stay, shout out to Edison and Rodi! I wish we could have spent another night, when we come back to San Pedro we will absolutely be booking again!

My wife and I spent 7 nights at the Portofino Beach Resort in San Pedro and couldn't have been more pleased. The resort, located approximately 6 miles from downtown San Pedro, is beautiful, boasting stunning grounds, a swimming pool, and incredible views of the sunrise, with the waves crashing on the barrier reef in the distance. |Moe picked us up at the airport and drove us via golf cart to the resort, where Farrah greeted us and brought us to our amazing room, the Seahorse. The Seahorse was a beautiful, large cabana, boasting a king-size bed, separate his-and-hers sinks, a thatched roof, and a cold air conditioning unit that kept us comfortable all night. Because Portofino is located outside of town, it is extremely quiet; a golf cart is highly recommended to explore the many wonderful places in the area, from the bars at Secret Beach to Pur, the Truckstop, and downtown itself. All within a short drive. |Everyone working at Portofino was helpful, friendly, and extremely courteous. Farrah ensured we had everything we needed and took care of the connections from and to the airport (via Moe). Roadie, the morning/afternoon bartender at the Green Parrot bar on the resort, was awesome. He ensured coffee was ready around 5:30 each morning so we could sip it and watch the sunrise daily. He shared stories, made great drinks in the afternoon, and was just a delight to talk with daily. Jeyson, another employee at the resort and bar, was also very friendly, as were the staff members who cleaned the rooms and those who cared for the resort. The week flew by, and although we've been home for more than a week now, we already miss it. |If you're planning to head to Belize with a stop in San Pedro, or if you're planning to stay in San Pedro without a trip to the mainland, I highly recommend the Portofino Beach Resort for its incredible views, hospitality, and overall value. We will certainly be back.

We are so sad to leave! The staff are absolutely amazing and took care of everything. Cleaned our room daily, had friendly conversations and made sure we were having a great time. Every part of our vacation here made us not want to leave! Thank you again! We will return 100%%

This was our second time at Portofino. We were married here last year and returned for our 1st Anniversary. Portofino is on the north side and in more of a secluded location. However, we enjoyed the quiet scene to settle into our vacation. Also, we rented a golf cart for a couple days to tour around the area. And of course, did a snorkeling tour with Carpe Diem (amazing). This resort goes above and beyond for service. We had our own private table on the beach for our anniversary dinner and the lobster was delish. Actually, every meal was had at the restaurant was top notch. We stayed in the treetop suite which was large and overlooked the pool. The pool was not crowded and was a very refreshing dip after a hot day. (Even if the forecast says rain, it barely rains at this time) The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Jason, who is the bartender, makes the best margaritas and was very delightful to talk to every day. It was also amazing that Rody (recently moved from Moon Bar) remembered us from last year. He is a welcome addition to your staff! Thank you, thank you to Ivan from the restaurant. His infectious smile and positive attitude makes your day! We were so happy that he is still here and will be staying in the future. He is a valuable person for your team! See you next year!
