We had an incredible experience at Portofino. Our server and the entire staff were exceptional. The ambience beautiful. It was a bit chilly so we sat indoors but they also had a beautiful outdoor space with personal heaters and warm throws.
A huge shoutout to Josipa? our server. She was knowledgeable, warm and attentive.
We ordered the thinly sliced slightly briny monkfish, I would have personally skipped the drizzle of fruit purée on it as the flavors of the fish were so fresh and delicate that the puree took away from the dish. We also enjoyed the octopus meatballs but didn’t quite get to taste the octopus. The foie gras was exceptional, perfectly cooked accompanied a delicious mango salsa. The peach puree base was unnecessary.
The lamb chops were cooked well, could have been a bit more rare. I requested a bit of mustard with it The accompanying veggies and butternut puree were good.
