Portofino

This restaurant is definitely worth the money. Excellent atmosphere, very close to the heart of the Old-town. The dishes are delicious and real eye candies. They have open kitchen. The staff are polite and proactive, like in the big book. Each dish delivery has a ceremony that introduces it. The terrace is excellent for morning coffee or early afternoon snacks. I give a heartfelt five stars and more nominate to Michelin.

Absolutely incredible food with exceptional service. Toni was fantastic and personable. He made great recommendations and was a joy to interact with, definitely made the expeirence even more pleasant. We highly recommend the lamb for an entree and the scallops for appetizer

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. I came in this afternoon and enjoyed a three course meal. The scallop appetizer was incredible, the ravioli was rich and delicious, and the chocolate dessert was amazing. Nothing however can compare to the wonderful level of service I received. The wait staff were incredibly kind and caring. When it started to rain they moved me to a table inside and even offered me a poncho when I was ready to leave because I didn’t have an umbrella. Stop here for a bite! You won’t regret it.

Wow! This meal was simply lovely. Portofino has a great menu serving fine seafood with some great flavors. I got the goat cheese salad, which had a zesty dressing and warm and gooey cheese. The grilled octopus was also made to perfection, with a perfect char. Paired with some white wine, the meal was fantastic!

We had an incredible experience at Portofino. Our server and the entire staff were exceptional. The ambience beautiful. It was a bit chilly so we sat indoors but they also had a beautiful outdoor space with personal heaters and warm throws. A huge shoutout to Josipa? our server. She was knowledgeable, warm and attentive. We ordered the thinly sliced slightly briny monkfish, I would have personally skipped the drizzle of fruit purée on it as the flavors of the fish were so fresh and delicate that the puree took away from the dish. We also enjoyed the octopus meatballs but didn’t quite get to taste the octopus. The foie gras was exceptional, perfectly cooked accompanied a delicious mango salsa. The peach puree base was unnecessary. The lamb chops were cooked well, could have been a bit more rare. I requested a bit of mustard with it The accompanying veggies and butternut puree were good. Overall a great experience. Thank you

The service was exceptional, one of the few good ones in southern Croatia. The foie gras was absolutely divine. The rest of the dishes were good, but not outstanding.

Stopped at Portofino for lunch and this was our best meal during our stay in Split. The waitress was lovely, she introduced herself but I don't remember her name but she was fantastic. We had a main each, shared a dessert & 2 drinks each. The price / quality was super reasonable - I would recommend a visit but obviously they will be busier if you go for a dinner service.

We have enjoyed the food and the service very much. Wine list is sophisticated. The butternut squash soup is superb and fit for a tired body and soul. Ingredients are fresh. The only drawback is the tiramisu, it's like a brownie with some cream. Don't order it.
