Highlights

Sophisticated, traditional rooms in an elegant hotel with a restaurant, a cafe/bar & a courtyard. In a Mediterranean-style building on a narrow street, this polished hotel is a 4-minute walk from the Castillo de Santiago and a 14-minute walk from the beach. The sophisticated, traditionally furnished rooms are decorated with antiques. Some have tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings or private terraces. Split-level rooms are also available. Amenities include a cafe/bar, as well as a restaurant offering international dishes and terrace seating. There's also an interior Andalusian courtyard with columns and stone archways, plus a patio garden and a TV lounge.

The hotel used to be a 18th century palace and has various patio areas. We booked the hotel as we had watched the beach horse racing last year and we had planned to stay over night and see more of Sanlúcar. The walk to the beach is about 20 /30 minute walk away. Our room number 22 was on the small size over looking the gardens of the town hall. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Big wooden shutters on the windows blocked out the light and heat of the day. The mattress on the double bed was far too soft for my liking and I woke up the following morning with a aching back. Even though the receptionist was friendly we wasn’t given any details about breakfast, Wi-Fi codes or opening hours of the bar. We managed to find the bar but it was closed. We had a good walk around the hotel admiring the beauty and size of it. It’s a bit of a tardis as it looks small from the outside. I will definitely return to this hotel next year but I will stay in a different room. We had breakfast around the corner from the hotel probably a two minute walk away. There is a small square with a couple of cafes.

Lovely old hotel, definitely quirky, like staying in a very old house. If you like chain hotels all the same don't come here. Huge room with big terrace. Cool inside without Aircon but it was available. Big bathroom and plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly.|Breakfast at €7 was plentiful, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, pastries toast and lovely coffee. Was expecting much less because of previous reviews .|We parked in the Town centre and walked to the hotel, about 10 minutes up hill but ok with not too much luggage. There is very limited parking on street. Great location for the castle and Bodega visit and not far to the downtown area.|Town hall opposite well worth a visit. It's a former palace, entry is free to garden and some rooms |

A beautiful boutique hotel made out of 4 old family homes. Nice spacious room (family size). The only thing is that there is no elevator, so if you're not on the ground floor then it might be hard to drag your luggage up those beautiful stairs. I need to add that the staff offered to do it for me and i refused :-). A few more comments. A rather limited breakfast. WiFi not available in several places. Reception area was the only place where I could consistently get a really good signal. They have a beautiful terrace and good number of very nice public spaces. Birds, flowers and nice, antique furniture

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean. Showers were hot and AC was ice cold. The location is ideal, so much to do nearby, and the beautiful old church of course. The ambience was superb, a very old feel. And for the price, it couldn’t be beat.

Atmospheric, charming, beautiful, clean, handy location, very friendly staff....a totally great experience. It's two eighteenth century houses combined. And even has a Michelin star restaurant, El Espejo, attached. We loved it here.

Sadly we only had one night in this amazing hotel. It's an old converted palace with beautiful unique features. The public patio areas are very beautiful and the rooms very special. There is plenty of free on street parking so no need to worry about having a car. Lots of interesting bars and restaurants very close. ||I would definitely recommend this hotel and the town of Sanlucar de Barrameda. We will definitely return.

Nice different hotel. Pets allowed and they did not charge extra. Location quite ok, not too far from center of town. Their own restaurant, which has quite good ratings at TA was closed on monday.||Room was clean and large (N:o 35). Bed could be much better.||Breakfast was quite booring and not many choices.

This is a beautiful building, with lovely patios dotted here and there. The bedrooms have very high ceilings, which are perfect for the high temperatures in this part of the world in summer.||The complimentary toiletries in the huge bathroom were a bit stingy - a couple of sachets of bath gel/shampoo, nothing more.||||However our big complaint was the breakfast. There was a glass dish with some 5 mini-croissants which were absolutely dry and asj stale as last week's news. The bread was fine, but there was a shortage of small plates, in fact only one on a pile of dinner plates. We had to ask the young lad to bring some more.||T||The fruit was unattractive: my wife's kiwi was very hard, almost impossible to cut in two and impossible to eat with a teaspoon, while my peach (the best looking one of three) was off. The other fruit on offer was onej GoldenDelicious apple and one pear. ||||UOne of our friends wanted muesli, but no bowls were on the stand, she had to ask the lad, who brought only one, so that he had to go back again to fetch more bowls when someone else wanted muesli in view of the fact that there was practically nothing else on offer. ||||NAdmittedly, there were some slices of cheese, but five small pieces between four adults was totally insuficient, as was the supply of york and Spanish hams. We noticed that these were replenished only as we were leaving the breakfast room...||My wife cannot take cows milk and there was no soya milk available.||||OK, so the hotel breakfast costs only 6 euros each, but we would have got a far better and more varied breakfast at a cheaper price with fresh produce by going into the town.||||Stay here for the beautiful building (although there is another hotel of similar characteristics about100 metres away with better service, at a higher price) but take your breakfast downtown.
