The staff really try their best to help you! Lovely Mexican people! However, the internet connection is not reliable. I couldn’t connect from my room often. No real hot water—the water gets warmish. My room wasn’t ready at 2pm or even a couple hours later… The hostel is beautiful but you can go to a similar place for a lower price without all the issues

I had a private room here and unfortunately it was worse than the dorms - there were people banging on the roof directly overhead at sunrise (there is a metal staircase which needs a sign saying out of use during sleeping hours). I would advise you avoid private for this reason. The staffs son also ran around a lot - including on one ocasión sitting directly outside the toilet, humming, then screaming. He’s about 5 or 6 and there are so many other places to be so i don’t know why this happened - It felt like an unnecessary invasión of privacy. We also had to tell him not to enter the dorm room. His presence isn’t a problem but the hostel needs boundaries - this isn’t a private home. It’s also clear that on occasion the space is the staffs not the guests (again, not a huge problem, but the shouting generated, and take over of the kitchen table isn’t ideal). This is a shame as otherwise a good spot, clean, friendly, and staff clearly intending to (and very very nearly) create a tranquil haven. I did extend my stay a few times and wouldn’t avoid per se, but I don’t think id rush back for the above reasons.

Really cute hostel! Very low key, got the impression of a lot of long-timers/remote workers as there wasn’t much of a vibe/people taking part in the activities. Everyone was friendly though so it didn’t matter for us as we were a 3 but wouldn’t recommend particularly for solo travellers. Great facilities, really nice private room. We had the tamales which were great too. Nice ladies who cook your eggs in the morning, lots of places to sit and chill and a 10-15 min walk to the centre. All areas are totally safe. Booked a tour to the gorge through reception which was really good but only in Spanish just FYI! And you have to pay cash to reception before 8.30 on the day of your tour else they cancel your place.

Excellent hostel. The staff were lovely, the facilities sparkling clean, the breakfast buffet delicious. The only issue is this place is not wheelchair accessible at all. It would be great if everyone could enjoy this beautiful hostel.

This place is incredible. Such good value. Lovely atmosphere, generous staff, and a really good hostel environment. The breakfast is so good - best bread we've had in Mexico, with eggs freshly made and coffee and fruit and cereal on offer. 100% recommend.

This was our best stay during our 3 weeks low budget travelling trip! The breakfast is so good: fresh bread, fruits, coffee, fresh jam and they make the eggs how you like it! The hostel has a lot of different places where you can sit. Location is also very good! Friendly staff!!

This hostel would get 5 stars if it weren’t for the awful wi-fi (in the rooms) & mould in the bathroom of the triple room with private bathroom. Other than that, it’s a great place to stay. It’s nice that they offer a free breakfast & the hostel is within 10 minutes of the central historical. All in all, a great stay. But could use some upgrades :)
