Posada del Angel

Incredible stay. Only 7 suites. Very peaceful and attention to details. Everything in the right place. Staff has been there since the place opened and they take care of you. Breakfast on the rooftop was great and could sit there for hours. Take your binoculars as you can see the volcano 🌋 erupt from rooftop at night. I recommended that the hotel invest in one good telescope or pairs of binoculars for guests to use at night.

A very lovely small hotel. Attentive staff, gorgeous common spaces (and rooftop), a pool and no music playing which helps you enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this place. I will most certainly come back.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were stunning, and at night the fireplaces in the rooms were lit, and the candles in the hallways created a wonderful atmosphere. It's peacefulness and quiet elegance will always stay with me. A really special place.

This is the first review we have ever left for anything. It is also probably our last. We are generally quite private people, however, this was an experience that was (hopefully) once in a lifetime. Firstly, the hotel was beautiful, the backdrop (aqua volcano) was unique and the food was great, but that is not the main part of the story. We were some place very special. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short because of a serious medical emergency. We would have been in a seriously horrible and difficult place if it was not for the manager Anibal (I am very sorry if that is spelled incorrectly). This was one of the most difficult days of our lives. When we told him where we wound up for our emergency he set up a transfer to a medical facility which he highly recommended. He then personally came to check on us at the clinic (we thankfully already left) in the middle of the night. If not for him, i am not sure we would have made it home so quickly. He spoke with us to arrange emergency transport at 3:00AM — and we were safely in Guatemala City to make our last minute flight with time to spare. ||For those not expecting a medical emergency, the city is amazing and Anibal gives great recommendations for food. ||We travel as much as we can. Most of our experiences are good. As far as hotels go, they are made of brick and mortar. This experience really highlights that the experience really comes from the amazing people inside the walls.

We loved everything about our stay at Posada del Angel. As soon as you walk in, you can see the artful aesthetic that is this hotel. Every single detail is stunning, and we stayed in the bird room and it was so comfortable - the bed, the sheets, very quiet. Perfect place to stay for our honeymoon, so luxurious and romantic. At night they light candles everywhere and it is just so relaxing and stunning. For breakfast, you have the beautiful view of the volcanos and delicious fresh fruit, coffee and anything your heart desires. I hope we will be back soon.

Easily understood why this is a favorite in Antigua. Absolutely exquisite interior design and attention to detail. The staff are incredibly hospitable and made it easy for us with odd flight times and in between night to the volcano. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.||Definitely walk to the nursery just a block or so away. A hidden gem

Posada del Ángel is a DISGRACE!!! Unacceptable Billing Practices!! I had a terrible experience with this hotel regarding billing. They charged my debit card twice for the same stay, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience. When I reached out to their staff to resolve the issue, the process was slow and unhelpful. The staff is DISRESPECTFUL, specifically, Aníbal. He exudes the worst type of customer service. It has taken over a week to get the issue fixed. Mistakes like these should never happen, especially when dealing with customers’ money. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, as their lack of professionalism left a bad impression. Choose a place that values its guests and handles payments properly. I would never recommend anyone to stay here! This hotel needs to be shut down, immediately!

Beautiful hotel, and excellent service. Breakfast needs improvement. Location is a little out of Centro, so nice and quiet, but also requires a short walk or uber to get most places.
