Can't recommend this place enough. Really great location for late night tapas, and a shortish walk or train ride to everywhere. Great value. The only thing I'll say is that if you're traveling with your significant other, make sure you're at the relationship level where you can poop and wee around each other, because the bathroom setup offers no privacy. Nice beds and aircon.

The ambient of the hotel is nice. Historical building, tastefully renovated. The room was small but quite stylish - white, silver, and purple. I liked the combination of hotel and bar - fits the historical origin as an inn. The location is excellent. Right within a popular area of Madrid, and really close to the Plaza Mayor. The only problem is the noise inside the building. The room air conditioning, fresh air supply, and bathroom ventilation were so loud that even with earplugs, it was impossible to sleep. The remaining option was to sleep in a warm room. In the morning, things got even noisier - people talking, music playing, and especially doors slamming.

My stay was wonderful. I was looking for a boutique style hotel, in a historic part of Madrid that when I stepped out onto the street I’d be amongst restaurants - tapas, casual, fine dining, late night drinks, coffee houses, - with easy access to the Metro and I had all of that here. Cava Baja - the street I was on was a destination of its own for all entertainment and dining options. And I took full advantage. ||And the room was very comfortable, the staff were so helpful and fortunately for me many were fluent in English as well. ||I’d go back again tomorrow. And did I forget to mention Madrid is amazing.

Location of the hotel is perfect, close to some great small restaurants. The staff are also on hand to help at all times and explained everything well. We never went to the bar/restaurant downstairs, however, the decor looked great (high-end) and the reviews of the food are good.||This hotel should not be classed as 4-star at all, we've stayed in 3-star hotels that are far better than this. In my opinion, this would be at the most a middle 2-star hotel with a nice looking bar/restaurant. The bedroom decor is vile, it has some weird astro turf style flooring which smells of mould. There was a constant smell of sewage throughout the room and the room overall just felt more like a hostel vibe and are dark.||There is nothing in the room apart from a double bed (not comfy), cheap horrible bedding, early 2010s TV and not much else. There's no kettle, no mini bar, nothing!|It feels like a hostel at best and the bar/restaurant is the main focus and the 'hotel' is a bolt on that isn't looked after or pushed to the back of the minds.||We had a corner room on the first floor, there was noise as they allow customers of the restaurants to sit in the interior terrace but this soon stopped around 12AM. We stayed on a Wednesday & Thursday, so I imagine there would be much more noise on the weekend.

Stunning view from window. Best hotel on our trip. Very busy area. Hard to get into restos.

This review is for the tapas bar below the hotel! You just try the tomato salad - someone described it as “the mother of all tomato salads” and that is exactly what it is! Juicy, fresh tomato’s with diced shallots and a balsamic vinegrette - but what makes it even better is the fig jam added in! SO YUM! 😋

Yelp
We stopped in here on 03.01.24 for a drink and to get in some history. We found out through a local blogger that you could see the original city walls of Madrid through the floor. Coming in just after opening, the place wasn't busy and the staff was idling around. We asked our server about seeing the glass floors and she seemed bothered to point them out. They were in an adjacent area of the restaurant that was complete unoccupied. After we briefly viewed them, she and some of the staff appeared to be secretively talking about us, and not in a good way. It didn't really bother us too much, but I suppose if you don't want people to take interest in what you show off as an attraction, then cover it up. Despite the lackluster service, our drinks and tapas were good.

Yelp
So I only stopped here for a glass of wine and people watching, but in the time I was there two things REALLY impressed me. First, they gave me some marinated olives and shoestring potatoes with my wine. I HATE (yes all caps) ...HATE olives, but somehow, this place managed to find the perfect way to marinate them and gave me the most delicious olives I've ever had in my life. I finished them all. Secondly, I wanted to learn more about the glass floor which shows the old medieval ruins, but they were in the restaurant next door. The bar manager literally walked me next door, past the other bartenders and gave me a personal tour of THE OTHER RESTAURANT. He was so friendly and the service was above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Quirky little boutique hotel located in the middle of all the action! Check in was a breeze and the rooms are sized perfectly for two people. We had a balcony facing the street, and as others stated, it stays loud well past 3am. So, you might want to request a room that doesn't face the street. The restaurants and bar belonging to the hotel are quaint and always busy, which is a good sign. When you first get here, you have to walk in past the bar to check in on the left hand side before walking into the restaurant. The rates were reasonable and we were within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to visit. Having the Mercado San Miguel literally across the street was one of our favorite things about staying here. I would definitely stay again!

Yelp
The tapas were delicious, but larger than I thought! They felt more like raciones. The wine and vermouth were great. The service was nice too, they even took us to the back to see the old walls of Madrid. When we went, around 8-9PM it was pretty dead and we were the only ones there, which was a little awkward as it was super quiet.

Yelp
Amazing experience check in with Angel he was super nice and very helpful. They had a welcome drink of vino of your choice and the rooms cannot say enuf it was clean comfortable bedding shower was great just gorgeous room and amazing floor to ceiling window with balcony and views of the street. Plus so quiet not alot of noise just the occasional truck that passed. We will be back especially with he complimentary breakfast buffet with frittata fruits and cheeses. Proximity to so many locations and the metro just a few minutes walk that took us all over the city. Graćias Madrid !!

Yelp
A bit hot so a tinto the verano is the right drink plus patatas bravas y croquetas a nice light snack.

Yelp
Amazing hotel in a ancient typical Madrid building 'Corrala' the rooms are small but really nice and modern. We love it! 10€ breakfast with eggs, fruit, coffee... They treated us really well! For sure, I will be more than happy to come back.

Yelp
Wine was amazing, patatas bravas were the best we had in Spain. More like potato wedges with sauce on the side. This american preferred them this way! Worth the visit
