Hotel Location and Staff vs. Room Issues
The hotel location is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.
We stayed in two different rooms.
The first was a family room, relatively large, but the bed area was elevated on a platform 15-20 cm above the rest of the room. This raised section had dark flooring, making it extremely dangerous when walking to the bathroom at night. We fell twice - painful falls - despite reminding each other to be careful. The air conditioning was ineffective with no correlation between the remote control settings and actual performance. The room lighting was poorly designed, with a fixture containing 3 blindingly bright bulbs mounted very close to one side of the bed. There was no reading light - you could either be in darkness or be blinded. The window faced an internal hotel shaft with a wall just 3 meters away, creating a claustrophobic and unpleasant feeling.
The second room was tiny and extremely cramped in its layout. It was impossible to properly open even one suitcase, let alone accommodate two. The bathroom sink was positioned right next to the bed with no privacy whatsoever. This room also had overly bright lighting that couldn't be adjusted for a pleasant atmosphere or reading. Even in this small room, the air conditioning was ineffective - despite sleeping with just a sheet, it was still sweaty and uncomfortable.
I appreciate the wonderful staff, but we will absolutely never return to this hotel.
