Absolutely fantastic experience at this five-star hotel! From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel right at home, offering exceptional service throughout my stay. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. I was also impressed by the reliable WiFi, which made it easy for me to stay connected. The restaurant and bar exceeded my expectations, serving delicious meals and refreshing drinks in a delightful ambiance. The location couldn’t be more perfect—central to all the attractions and a great spot to unwind. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful hotel! Highly recommend!

Terrible Experience with Double Charges and No Resolution! My boyfriend and I booked a room at Posada Del Tepozteco for a friend’s wedding, but the experience turned into a nightmare. Somehow, they ended up charging us twice – for two separate rooms – even though we only made one reservation. Despite reaching out to resolve this mistake, they refuse to refund the extra $1,200 dollars we were wrongly charged. It’s incredibly frustrating dealing with this lack of accountability, especially when it feels like they’re more interested in holding onto our money than addressing their mistake. We did everything correctly on our end, and now we’re left with a massive bill we shouldn’t have to pay. If you’re considering staying here, beware of shady billing practices and a management team unwilling to resolve issues. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you’re ready to deal with billing chaos and a lack of support. This experience has left a bitter taste, and we definitely won’t be back. In response to the owner, when we checked in there was absolutely no mention of another room under our names. We also got the confirmation emails 3 minutes apart. Why would we check to see if the confirmation numbers are different if we are a couple and were only trying to reserve one room? You did WhatsApp me about a room, but on the day we were checking out! It said absolutely nothing about a no-show. This type of disrespect to the customer and refusal to work with us at all to resolve a second $1,200 dollar charge, is unfathomable. What a way to tarnish our entire experience.

What a place! Tepoztlán is an incredible town nestled inside the caldera of an ancient volcano. The Posada is an oasis within the bustling town - beautiful rooms with views over the town, great food and drink, stunning grounds and a pool!

Posada del Tepozteco is a very special place, we celebrated our wedding with friends & family. The entire hotel & staff were incredible and the views are unbeatable! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The hotel is amazing, it is an old traditional house with incredible views of tepoztlan and the pyramid. The restaurant is really good and most of the people doing the service is amazing. Unfortunately one of their older servers is super annoying being pushy and sometimes even too entitled when it comes to demanding a tip.

Rooms are huge with wonderful views and very clean. I completely enjoyed this property. The dinning experience was great. The pool is kept warm and clean. The grounds were beautiful. The staff professional and friendly. Definitely would recommend.

Google
Beautiful place with spectacular views. I was upgraded and had a room that I would describe as subtle in its elegance. I did not have air con, and I probably would not have used it, preferring the fresh air. That said the town has a problem with late night open air discos- not sure how they are allowed, but certainly not in keeping with the local environment and very annoying for guests and locals alike who prefer to sleep. The gardens are very pretty, the pool ever so slightly heated, food was delicious. My only grips I would say is that for the all inclusive menu, comes a black coffee, but when you ask for a coffee with milk such as a Cappuccino, they charge you- makes no sense and is slightly annoying. I would return happily.

We had a fabulous time here during a week in January. We decided to stay one more night because we had the place practically to ourselves. They cleaned our rooms so well. The grounds were magical and our small daughters were endlessly entertained by searching for cats. The food was also great! Rooms were basic, that’s probably the only thing but we never really stayed in them. I would def consider having a wedding here or a group of friends. The town s close. The drinks are great and the views and lush greenery so beautiful!

Yelp
One of the best hotels I have ever been to. The food is great, scenery is amazing with a huge yard to explore. They also have three cure friendly cats. The staff is also friendly and hard working. Now there are some problems about this hotel. Some rooms don't have enough water pressure, or some rooms have a very confusing lock as I was stuck outside my room for 10 minutes because the lock was hard to use. Breakfast is also lacking, as there is only three items: pancakes, omelet, salad, and yogurt. I recommend this hotel a million percent

Yelp
Best view from Tepoztlan Morelos! Loved our breakfast and very attentive staff. Jugó verde, chilaquiles, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee pancakes. Everything was outstanding

Yelp
This place was recommended to me for the view and the breakfast. I also later learned the Harrison Ford film Clear and Present Danger was filmed here, which would have been enough of a reason alone for me to go. I knew we weren't going to make breakfast, so I called just to make sure they were open for lunch and the first thing the guy on the phone warned me about was that breakfast was no longer being served. That must be some breakfast. When we arrived shortly after 1 PM on a Sunday, they were breaking down what was left of the buffet. We definitely missed out. As for lunch, they would only serve us apps until 1:30. Main dishes were available to order after that. We tried for the empanadas, but they were out so we instead got the garlic shrimp and mushrooms and the Oaxacan cheese quesadillas. The boys were happy with the latter (I didn't try). The shrimp were finger-licking good and the rice was cooked to perfection. For a main, I went with the duck enchiladas in red mole. They were absolutely delicious. Way too much mole, as is often the case with most authentic Mexican mole dishes. And the shredded lettuce wasn't necessary, but the enchiladas had great flavor. The service was excellent and the views are incredible. This is a great place to have a relaxing meal, enjoy the sights and a quiet break from the craziness on the main street and take lots of pictures.

Yelp
My wife an I spent three nights there. Terrific on all counts. The hotel is beautiful and the service was efficient, friendly and gracious. The buildings are perched over the town but still within easy walking distance to the center. The room was comfortable and spacious. The food was very good. A special thanks to Yuri for her hosting and graciousness. Would stay there again in a minute.

Yelp
This is a beautiful spot and one of the best views you can get in Tepoztlán. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful, from the entrance to the restaurant to the pool. It's also adorned with a lot of beautiful art. However I have to take everything into account and while I almost gave it a 4, there were a lot of cons. First, the food came out totally cold. The cecina actually had a delicious flavor as did the sopes, but came out cold. The service was extremely slow the whole time too - we wanted dessert and ended up not getting it because we waited so long. The other thing that really bothered me is we returned later after spending time down in the centro as we had parked our car across the street. We had an hour drive back to the city and asked if we could use the bathroom, and they didn't let us in because they said it wasn't a public bathroom. Really? I had spent 800 pesos there merely an hour before. I get it if we had just come randomly but we'd literally just eaten there. That's not cool. I'd probably come back to the hotel and stay because it's beautiful and well located but the slowness and the stinginess of the security staff on letting us use the restroom is why I knocked this down to a 3.

Yelp
Posada del Tepozteco - Tepoztlán. Beautiful restaurant with great views. Food was good too. We ordered the enchiladas de mole, cecina, and Chile poblano enchiladas. Food was a bit salty and cold though.
