Posada El Quijote

My husband and I stayed here for a night before heading out after two weeks in Costa Rica. Once we arrived, we were so bummed we weren't staying longer! This hotel was by far the nicest place we stayed the entire trip. The pool area is soooo scenic, the neighborhood is quiet, the cats are super cute, the breakfast was wonderful and prompt, room was spotless and gorgeous - a true king sized bed! If we come back to CR someday, we will absolutely be looking into returning here when staying in San Jose.

The whole facility was incredible - excellent atmosphere, super clean, breakfast was great, view and grounds were spectacular, and the staff - Andreas and Ivan were so helpful and wonderful to chat with! Only improvement my wife suggests is providing a mattress topper option as the beds were firm. (No issue for me!) Oh need to mention the cats - she loved them! Fantastic value for the money.

We stayed here for two nights. Customer service was excellent; we needed a taxi for the airport at 3am and they set up a good transfer for a reasonable price. The view over the city is beautiful. There are numerous friendly cats living on the property. Private parking for the car. The room did not have aircon but that didn’t matter too much for us. There was a ceiling fan but it wasn’t strong. Regardless, the room was cool when we were there and we slept very well.

Clean, comfortable, relaxed. Great location, you can get an Uber anywhere if you're not driving. Great options for breakfast. Great view from the pool.

It is a very nice, small place to stay in the city. It features a great view of the city, has a nice lobby, and the breakfast is delicious. The shower could have been cleaner and better maintained. The room itself was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable.

I had booked a stay here with my friend and had a delayed flight that ended up getting me there the next after my booking. They also didn’t have any other rooms so I had to go to a different hotel - in any of my experiences of staying at a hotel they would accommodate me on something liked this but this hotel wouldn’t give me a refund or even a discount. I even had Expedia reach out (they were very helpful) and the hotel wouldn’t not accommodate me so I will say service here is bad.

Beautiful Hotel, wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed for one night before we needed to head to the airport. We even got an upgrade of the room with direct access to the pool! Would totally recommend if you wanna spend one or two nights after your Costa Rica Trip! Awesome view over San Jose. Special Thanks to Fernando, who was very welcoming and nice. Pura Vida!

This hotel is 20 min drive from the airport. The views are beautiful, the garden is beautiful, the pool is BEAUTIFUL! Breakfast so was so delicious! We look forward to returning someday. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was helpful.
