Posada Las Garzas

😊: Location excellent and traditional Spanish furnishings lovely.. 😢: Tea and coffee making facilities not being in the room and not having the option of eggs at breakfast instead of meats and cakes..

😊: Very quiet location just opposite the beautiful Berria beach where we went for an evening swim! The Posada is very unique and beautifully decorated, and the rooms are very cute. We had our own balcony where we sat to watch the sunset. This Posada is a 30mins walk from Santoña centre where we bought delicious famous anchovies - it is directly on the Camino de Santiago so was ideal for us. The fresh orange juice and jam served with baguette at breakfast were lovely - nice, strong coffee too! The staff were extremely friendly and helped with everything we needed.. 😢: The view of the beach is blocked by a huge 4 star hotel, but you can still the beach looking to the side..

😊: The property was in an excellent position not far from the beach or town. It was exceptionally clean and the owner was very friendly definitely recommend this place.. 😢: Nothing it was perfect.

We asked here after checking the 4 star across the street, and found it to be much better value. Run by 2 sisters, it's very clean, airy, and luckily we got the room with a beach view balcony. The door to the balcony is through the bathroom, which for us just added to the character of the place. The second night was cheaper, which we appreciated, and the location for us was superb. Beach, marches and a great hike along the headland to Noja.

We stayed here for 5 nights in August 2015 (sorry forgot to put up a review before now). A really lovely small guesthouse, spotlessly clean. The little breakfast room is charming but one cannot see the sea from the front of the house as a 'not very nice' building (Hotel) blocks the view. The sleeping rooms are smallish but have windows that can be opened and you will not be disturbed except perhaps by bird calls. The only two negatives were, lack of air conditioning and the calorie/sugar loaded breakfasts served (beautifully). There is limited eating opportunities along the beach area and a walk into Santona is necessary. Takes about 15 minutes and you will find typical Spanish square, cafes and a few small supermarkets.

The hotel is located very near the wild and lovely beach.|If you are lucky you can have the sea view.|Hotel is small and personal. Very clean.|Breakfast ok.|The beach lovely. The area is quiet without bars etc.|Walk to Santona is appr. 2 km.|Parking is free.

We stayed here in May 2016 after a long day of walking on Camino del Norte. Had lovely room with small balcony. We had dinner in the 4 star across the way and the hostess left us a nice breakfast so we had some food before our early start the next day. Lovely
