Great experience! The staff is very attentive and friendly. The rooms are a little bit small, but very comfortable. The hotel itself has a gorgeous decoration and architecture, it's very charming. It's a couple of blocks away from the main street, so it's very peaceful but at the same time close to the main stores and restaurants. The SPA and pool are very nice too, as well as the hotel restaurant. In summary, our staying was wonderful! I highly recommend it.

Hotel Posada Los Alamos is a great hotel in a great location about a 5 minute walk from town where there are a lot of restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself has a beautiful welcoming lobby where 100s of guests each day wait to be picked up for day trips to see glaciers. The hotel is used to this and has plenty of room to sit and door men to help with luggage and bags. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. We only wished there had been one english tv station to watch (maybe CNN). The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with lots of nice lighting, beautiful trees and places to walk. Breakfast was outstanding with a large buffet and an omlette station. It is big enough to accomodate all the people getting ready to go on their excursions for the day. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting El Calafate.

Big hotel but with a friendly low key feel to it. Great location 5 mins from high street of shops and restaurants. Lovely old wooden staircases and several attractive seating areas. Breakfast good. Wide wine selection. The spa area is attractive but very busy. Our room was large and comfortable.

It is really nice—great location, spacious rooms, and a beautiful building. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with lovely garden areas and a relaxing spa that make it a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the glaciers.

The rooms were fantastic and so clean. The best part by far was the breakfast. They have such a side assortment of breakfast foods to choose from. The staff were so kind and helpful, they assisted us with bringing our bags in and up to our room. I will forever remember our stay at Posada Los Alamos!

An amazing and beautiful hotel! It has all the amenities you could need including the option to book massages or facials at their spa. The breakfast is the most extensive breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The restaurants in the hotel serve delicious food and all the staff are so friendly. The hotel is an easy walk to the main shopping areas as well.

My two stars are one each for the amenities and for the reception staff. The angst began with being given a room literally in the attic - no water pressure- bathroom won’t flush (we tried four times) The reception staff was prompt and quickly changed our rooms to a much more pleasant and well connected room on the second floor However the rooms in general are very old and outdated. Specially for the price per night its not at all worth the money The amenities are wonderful- the heated pool, hot tub and sauna were nice to use. We got massages as well which was nice. They sent me a meat dish after i ordered vegetarian food- however they were gracious enough to fix it with complements The nail on the coffin was really the breakfast. After spending nearly 500$ in ONE DAY we tried to pack 2 croissants from the PAID INCLUDED breakfast buffet because we were in a hurry to catch our early morning bus to the glacier experience. This waitress from the staff confronted us - when we explained our predicament she expressed her judgement over the toast we were trying to eat before leaving. She was so rude and unpleasant- like why would we “steal” 20 cents of your bulk buffet garbage food after spending 500$ on multiple meals and amenities Not only that, someone slipped us our bill from below the door when we were sleeping- the hotel had tried to charge us twice for the one night stay All in all- nice reception staff, nice amenities, overpriced average food, rude restaurant staff who treat high paying american customers like shit and speak little english, outdated uncomfortable rooms with no heat or air conditioning. We will not be returning.

This hotel is ok as a place to crash whilst visiting Perito Moreno Glaciar. The bedroom itself was fine although was hot due to having radiators with no controls and no air conditioning - being on the ground floor the window did not open sufficiently to cool our room down so if you stay ask for a room on a higher floor. ||The gardens are impressive and the building is imposing from outside. However, the hotel does not provide courtesy water and the walls are very thin which means that all noises in hallways can be heard. The bathrooms are also very dated - the shower in our room constantly leaked all over the floor as the shower glass was too small for the force of the small old fashioned shower head and the bath didn’t drain which meant that we showered each time in a puddle of stagnant water. ||The breakfast was ok and the bed was comfortable. Overall this didn’t meet our expectations of a four star stay and you could probably find something similar for a lower price in the area.

Yelp
A modest aging property located in the small town of Califate that provides a convenient base for exploring the nearby lake and natural wonders. It looks quite stately from the lobby and exterior but the rooms and especially the bathrooms are long over due for an upgrade. We stayed for two nights at the end of January as part of a tour to visit glaciers and national parks. We stayed in a king room on the 2nd floor. While perfectly clean and comfortable it was definitely a step down from other hotels on this trip-comparable to a mid-scale spot in the US. Like other area hotels in Patagonia, there is no Ac due to the normally cool climate and heat is provide via antiquated radiators. Luckily there was a large sliding window to open but without any cross ventilation or fan to move air, the room felt stuffy. The small bathroom was at least 20 years old with outdated fixtures like the tub/shower combo and a tiny single sink with antiquated faucet and sputtering water pressure. Bath amenities were also very basic. Breakfast was included and while there were many selections, items were largely packaged and canned foods set out like canned pears, cold cuts, and processed meats and cheese. As I said, despite the woeful lack of creature comforts, as a place to crash for a couple of nights it was perfectly adequate.

Yelp
This hotel has multiple buildings. You sleep on one. You eat in another. The spa, pool, fitness center is in another. Had a facial one day and a massage the next. Disappointed. The facial was just a cleaning and masks. And ends with a short facial massage. The session ended short. Same with the massage. Not only did it ended short, the pressure was light even after we specifically asked for stronger. The location is two blocks off the main street where you'll find restaurants and shops. The shower "door" only covers half the tub and is not wide enough. Therefore the floor gets we

Yelp
My room was on the side and small, quiet and clean. Great workout room, pool and common areas. Has a European charm and close to main drag/restaurants.

Yelp
This hotel is loud and dirty. The walls are paper-thin, and every room faces a loud street where people are out partying all night. We requested a non-smoking room, and yet our room stunk of cigarette smoke. It was not cheap. Horrible value for the money.
