My wife and I stayed 2 nights. It is very handy for touring the Chico circuit and walking around the Llao Llao peninsula. If you don't want to drive in the evening to dine (it is about 20km from Bariloche), they do offer a limited range of reasonably priced dishes which you have to order by 6pm. It is a fixed range and doesn't change. We ate there both nights and were very happy with quality and service. There is a very reasonably priced bar run on an honesty basis (the Kaiken Malbec was about 680 pesos a bottle if my memory is correct). Lucas and his wife Lucia, which run the hotel, were very friendly indeed, with good English. They gave us several recommendations on things to do in the local area. Parking is off road, and as a previous reviewer said might happen, we did drive by when trying to find it the first night, as I did not see the sign in time, but only for about 20 metres (if you reach the entrance to the Club de Regattas you've gone too far) and it was easy to turn around. Also, whilst the short but steepish drive leading up to the property is not paved, it isn't a big deal. Unlike a previous reviewer, we did not hear any dogs, only occasional traffic noise - the bus stop is outside. But the road never seemed busy at any time (late November). The breakfast was continental buffet with a selection of eggs cooked on demand, and bread baked fresh daily. Our room on the ground floor was adequate. The bed was comfortable, though the bathroom was cramped. However, the water for the shower was hot and it was powerful. Unless you stay in your room, there is only the one public area to congregate in, so we soon got chatting to the other guests. Yes, it's not 5 star luxury but we felt it was home from home.
