We spent 1 night at the Posada San Sebastian. Hugo Sr. and Jr. were amazing-they went above and beyond to make it a great stay-THANK YOU. It is a very charming place that feels like you are staying in a museum. Also, the rooftop was amazing-my son and I watched the sun go down from up there. Could not ask for a better location either.

An absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel, very thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They speak great English which is rare in Guatemala.

I loved my experience at this hotel. The hotel is beautifully decorated, very much fitting in with the antique vibe of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, being patient as I practiced Spanish and switching to English when I needed them to. As a solo traveller I felt very safe here, loved the kitchen (i needed a very early morning coffee before hiking Acatenango), loved the peaceful and beautiful rooftop. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Antigua. It was clean, beautiful and close to everything.

Great location in central Antigua. My girlfriend and I stayed here for several nights when we were in town. Hugo was super helpful and welcoming while we checked in, and let us know that there is drinking water on site (from the water station, NOT the taps.) The room itself was pretty nice, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice enough and we didn’t have any issues with the hot water. We were on the second floor and there was no AC or fan and therefore if the windows were closed the room was an oven. There were also no fly screens on the windows so if you did have them open you were bound to get mosquitos in your room. The rooftop patio is gorgeous and is a great little addition to this hostel. The location is also great as it’s a 5 min walk to the square, the arch and the church. There is also plenty of food options around. Overall it’s a decent option for the price, but I’d definitely look around to see if you can find something better.

I loved staying here and would 100% recommend. This place was so gorgeous, peaceful and comfortable. Location was perfect and Hugo was very welcoming and helpful. The beds were comfy, shower had good water pressure and good hot water. There was drinking water for you to fill up your bottles too. Only negative thing I can say is that there was no fan or air condition so it got a little warm in the evenings.

My new home in Antigua. I almost don’t want to recommend as I worry about being able to stay in the future as it will get so popular. A hidden gem. It was charming, safe, comfortable, run by kind and helpful father and son team, spectacular views, shared kitchen and table.. Perfect location for a single, semi working traveler!

Unfortunately we had very disappointing and unpleasant stay in this hotel. The positive point was the hot water for shower. The front desk man, Hugo, was friendly and welcoming. However, the room needed great maintenance. The room had unpleasant smell, like moisture. The bed sheets were worn out too. The mattress was not comfortable. Our room was located in the ground level in front of the kitchen. When we opened the door and windows to get fresh air, the smell of kitchen and even worst some bad toilet smells came inside our room. At least one hanger is needed in the bathroom so you can hang your towels or cloths! Windows need nets so that you can leave windows open at night. The combination of flooring, equipment and everything in the room was bad. This room should not be offered as a "Hotel" room to any customer.

Sweet hotel! The staff are helpful and caring. I am traveling solo and was very comfortable staying here. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a reasonably priced place in a very central location. Thank you Posada San Sebastián for a great stay.
